Startin the new thread a little early, cuz I've got a busy morning tomorrow and probably wont be on until late in the afternoon.

    I'd show you my style, but I'd be laughed off the boards. :bigsmile:

    Big day planned for TJ today b/c yesterday just never happened. After Zeke's incident, I came home & Doug was watching hockey (which we never see b/c we don't have cable), then the NFC championship was on, we went out to eat with my mom & dad, then the AFC championship was on. Heaven forbid "someone" watch tv on the small tv in our bedroom. :grumble: Here's hoping I get it all done! WOO!

    Dragonfly - I hope they come today!!! Nothing worse than waiting for a package that you want SO badly!

    Good Morning Drevasmom and 3babybeans! and friends,
    glad all are up early and ready for a fantastic monday- doubt my dvds will come today due to the holiday ~ patience is a virture, right? Besides all good things are worth waiting for, so this probably rocks! Overslept but still did 30 min of cardio and made it to the office by 735! Yea me, not bad for a Monday.
    Just wanted to check in and say good morning to everyone and wish you all an outstanding day ~ do somehting good for yourselves and show love wherever you go!

    Just finished my 20min workout dvd and its getting easier:noway: !

    The first 10mins were a killer but just after the turbo thingy I really was getting into it and they slowed down!! (I think the first 10mins of any workout are a killer, or maybe its just me!!)

    I might try out the Cardio Party tomorrow if I am brave enough :laugh:

    How is everyone else getting on?

    I got AbJam done & all but the last 5 min. of TS. Z came out from his nap bawling his eyes out & no amount of bribing could get him to leave me alone for 5 more minutes. :ohwell: I'm talking DH into doing Cardio Party tonight...he doesn't know it yet, but he's doin' it! BWAHAHA!

    Hey Deeduns, how are you? Sounds like you are on track for today do good for you!! To answer your question ... no :sad: They aren't here yet!! I did check the tracking info and at least they are in my city !! Woo Hoo!! Maybe today or tomorrow - not sure if UPS runs today with the holiday and all. Missed my 20 minutes at lunch today so that means I'm doing something whwn I get home, although not sure what yet..
    I sure am grateful to have you guys to visit with and that we can cheer each other on it is really making a difference for me. So glad I found you guys - you all are on my gratitude list for the day.

    So happy to see all of you workin out this morning. I didn't get my workout done today. I got up and made breakfast for everyone, ate and then I had to go to a hair appt. After that we went out for lunch and sent my parents on their merry way. So now it's back to normal life. I've eaten a lot of crap in the last couple days so I will have to work my butt off this week to see any loss on the scale Friday. I'm not down about it, I made the choices and I knew how I would feel after so I just have to live with it....plus I look at it as a shock to my system hahaha. I might try to workout before bed tonight but we will see how the evening goes.

    My offical weigh in day is Thursday but I couldnt resist getting on the scales this morning and I am down 2.2lbs since last week :tongue: :bigsmile:

    I never loose this amount ever! Weight is always very slow to come off me and I would be lucky with even 1.5 of a pound!

    I am delighted and I still have 2 more workouts to do before my "offical" weigh in day :laugh:

    Fingers crossed it get more off!

    Deedun - that's how it was for me like the first 4 months of this workout. It was fantastic! I'm still doing okay, but I'm getting towards my goal so it is going a bit slower...:grumble:

    I just got done PK&J'ing. Woo!

    How do those that have it feel about 3T?

    Do you have a HRM? I've always wondered what my calorie burn is for each workout. I really should just break down & get one one of these days.
  • Hello fellow TJ'ers.. I have't posted in here but a couple times. Thought I should jump in and see what's up. I did Cardio Party yesterday and I felt great. I literally could feel the fat leaving my body, and I woke up to a .6lb loss!! Whoohoo.. I'm going to do it again today, yesterday I worked sooo hard at it. I'm am considering doing Turbo sculpt today too. We will have to see. The baby is already awake from her nap so i'm going to have to fight through it with her around. Here's hoping I don't kick her!!!


    Hey, do ya'll put your shoes on to TJ? I can't do it with out them. :laugh:

    Hi everyone,
    Just wanted to check in - did 25min total body w/ my stability ball and free weights this am and 20 min of pilates at lunch ( i so locked the door today ~ no interruptions ~ whatever it is can wait for 20 min!)
    I hope to see a package on the dining room table when I get in!! I can't wait to join you guys ~ sounds like a really fun and fat burning workout. I am so wanting the fun part. I think that's why I end up trying so many different things. I've got to keep it fun or I won't do it. So far I really love the FIRM, Gunner Peterson's Core Secrets, Taebo Boot Camp and Denise Austin's 20min Boot Camp - I hope this package has a variety of intensities and workout lengths. Sounds like you all really enjoy them and are getting results.

    3babybeans - I was thinking about the HRM too ~ just no extra (what's that?) money
    Roxie - keep up the good work!!
    Deedun - That's FANTASTIC. It's always motivating to see the numbers move!! Friday will be awesome!

  • Hi everyone! I just started Turbo Jam.. 4 times so far. I have done the learn and burn 3 days then tried the 20 min last night. I have to say I LOVE this workout! It goes by so fast and its fun. You are so busy focusing on what you are doing you don't think about anything else (other than sweating) I am happy that at 52 I can do this! I can feel the workout in every part of my body and can't wait to see some results.

I feel like poo today cuz of the crappy eating I did over the weekend. I have no energy and I just wanna sit on the couch and eat. But I'm not going to let these feelings start a downward spiral. I'm eating good and got my workout in. I may do another be for the day is over....or at least watch the new ones so I know what I'm getting into :happy:

    Sara I have 3T but I haven't opened it yet. Why do you ask?

    Dragonfly-I'm hoping that your dvds come today...I think you have been patient along enough.

    Treask-Welcome. I'm so happy you love these workouts. I was just telling my mom (she turns 61 next month) that she should do them and she says "there is no way an old woman like me can do that kinda workout!" I'm not saying your old but I'm happy to see that you can do the workouts and that you enjoy them.

    Was wondering where you were today - glad you aren't beating yourself up about the munching and are back on track. We all do it , guess it's just part of the journey right? I agree with you that I have been patient long enough ~ we'll see what UPS says, lol!
    I think it's awesome that your mom wants to get in on the fun ~ you are as young as you feel! That's part of why I wanted to make fitness a part of my life now, so that if God blesses me to live a long life that I will be fit enough to enjoy it!

    Just finished 20 min workout burned 155 calories then did level 1 of shred.

    Good Morning Jam Family,
    I finally got my DVDs last nite , WOO HOO! Box had all kinds of goodies in it - definetley worth the wait.
    I did the learn and burn this am and it was soooo fun!! loving the music and I was able to catch on to the moves she is teaching. Wish I had more time to watch/learn but one step at a time!
    I am going to follow the directions - I think her schedule for advanced is going to work for me. They sent me the gloves, resistance bands and some kind of elastic band (looks like it goes around the thighs or something - i've never tried that b4 so it will be interesting to see how that changes the workouts!).
    Oh, my DH was watching a commercial for these Navy Seal "perfect push up disks a couple of nites ago and he mentioned that it was something he wanted to try and guess what? I found them at Walmart for 1/2 of what the infomercial was asking and he got down on the floor and started using them!! He was up using them this morning too, at it again, and that makes me really happy. I have been wanting him to do SOME kind of exercise but you know what happens when you push - major resistance! He's been watching me jump around for the past 2.5 yrs so maybe it's finally sinking in!! Hopefully a fit home is on the horizon!!

    Sara...I thought the same thing! I got a confirmation e-mail on Monday saying they would be here before the 25th. I surely wasn't expecting them today, but rather Friday or Saturday.

    Ok...I am already 100% ADDICTED!!!! Seriously, thank you Sara for the recommendation!!!! I just did Learn & Burn and the 20 minute work out...love, love, LOVE this!!! It's going to take awhile to get the hang of titling your pelvis so much, but I think my cheerleading background has helped in picking up the "routine" fairly quickly (that may sound silly, I know!!!). I'm sweating and it feels awesome!!!!!

    Gottaluvboys ~ i'm with you girl - fantastic work out, great music !! Can't stop thinking about it - will either do 20min work out or cardio party when I get home! I am too pumped!! dId pilates at lunch for 20 min but I really wanted to be doing TJ ~ I'm such a brat!!!:bigsmile:
    I do have a question and maybe Dervansmom can answer- how do you log the 20 min and the cardio party (i don't have a HRM)
    I counted learn and burn as general aerobic but not sure about the 20 min b/c haven't done it yet. I was thinking cardio party might be under kick boxing or high intensity aerobic?
    What do you use?

    Dragonfly this is how my workouts compare to what is in the system

    Okay here's a little break down....this is based on 184 lbs.

    Kick boxing 40 minutes (database) 556
    Aerobics high 40 minutes (database) 389
    Cardio Party 2 40 minutes (HRM) 520
    Cardio Party 1 40 minutes (HRM) 500

    For me Kick boxing was actually a closer estimate.

    I did Fat Blaster today...wow that is interesting but fun. I'm waiting for my DD to take a nap and then I'm going to do the Shred and hopefully try out the TJ booty sculpt. DD is totally resisting naptime though. She should be on her 2nd nap about now and she hasnt even had her 1st :grumble:

    I have to say that I am really impressed with these dvd's!! I am delighted I got them.

    Well my weigh in is tomorrow and I have everything crossed. Each week it gets easier to make better choices where food is concerned. I am re-training myself and I am loving it.

    I had a weak moment earlier today when I finished college and I was so tired. I got myself a chocolate bar as I was really craving chocolate and I had no substitutes but anyway, I didnt enjoy it one bit! I had remembered it tasting differenly and I feel I have overcome the cravings now!! At the end of it I said "that was a total waste of 300 cals!" :laugh:

    I am learning so much and loving it!

    I am a crazy person today. I did AbJam, Cardio Party 1 & Turbo Sculpt. I feel like jello. The kids took a long nap & I took advantage of it! I have snacks planned for myself tonight while I watch Lost. :bigsmile:
