Just completed my 20min workout dvd and the 1st 10mins of AbJam...

I have to say that I am really impressed with these dvd's!! I am delighted I got them.

Well my weigh in is tomorrow and I have everything crossed. Each week it gets easier to make better choices where food is concerned. I am re-training myself and I am loving it.

I had a weak moment earlier today when I finished college and I was so tired. I got myself a chocolate bar as I was really craving chocolate and I had no substitutes but anyway, I didnt enjoy it one bit! I had remembered it tasting differenly and I feel I have overcome the cravings now!! At the end of it I said "that was a total waste of 300 cals!"

I am learning so much and loving it!

    :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou:

    Good for you!!!!

I am a crazy person today. I did AbJam, Cardio Party 1 & Turbo Sculpt. I feel like jello. The kids took a long nap & I took advantage of it! I have snacks planned for myself tonight while I watch Lost.

Right there with ya Sara I did Fat blaster, Shred and TJ Live Booty & Abs....I burned almost 1000 calories. OH YEA and I'm going to reward myself with a sugar free pudding  I will be sore tomorrow but I feel SO very strong today!

Deedun I totally understand the craving thing...you THINK something is going to taste SO good and then you eat it and it's not as good as you wanted it to be and afterwards you think...what a waste!! I feel that about most of my "bad" foods...if I could just get to that stage about cookie dough I would be able to conquer the world

That reminds me.... Sara if I were you I would buy TJ Live Booty and Abs, before I would buy the 30 day shred. Booty is an AMAZING workout, fun, dancey, upbeat, motivational...and works all the same muscles as boring, dull, annoying Shred.

Add the 20 min. workout to my day. I am wiped out. DH said he "couldn't do it without me" b/c he can watch the moves better. I think he's a liar.

Thanks, Lyn! I'll have to check that one out. My booty could use some help.

    Hey Jammers,
Just wanted to checking in b4 I shut it down for the nite. I got home and did cardio party -WOW!
I am whoooped! Wringing w/ sweat and it was great! It definetly going to take a minute to learn the steps but this is something I can get used to. I love it!!
Hope everyone has a great nite with their families ~ catch ya in the am!

    Hi Jammers,
Where is everyone? Hope you all are fit and fabulous and making the most of the day. After trying cardio party last nite - i did the 20 minute work out this morning and have done 20 min of pilates at lunch. I have to tell you the cardio party was challenging and it is going to take a minute to get used to her timing- i feel like such a beginner and totally uncoordinated:ohwell: I have been laughing at myself and just having a good ole time. My body feels different ~ even after just 3 work outs ~ pretty cool!
DH still faithfully doing push ups ~ it's so cute:heart: Next project ... resistance bands!!
Missed hearing about everybody else's day... Hope all my friends are happy and still in it to win it.

Thinking about you all and wishing you a good day!

Did CP3 and the shred today, burned over 800 calories

CP3 has a large section that the routine is off the beat of the music and it makes it really difficult at first but once you learn the sequence you can just do it to the beat. I kinda like it, I will probably like it more as I learn the routine.Does anyone else have this one? What do you think?

Someone asked last week I think about wearing shoes....when I first started working out I didn't wear shoes cuz it was easier to move on my carpet...but after a while I got blisters on the bottoms of my feet so I had to start wearing shoes and let me tell you I could feel the weight difference when I did kicks...so weird.

Dragonfly, nice to see you on the board today...where is everyone else??

I'm here. I swear! I just got done with PK&J! Woo hoo! I'm stopping there today, though. Zeke's 4am wake up time the past FIVE days is starting to wear me down.

Oh, yeah! Shoes! I haven't ever done it without my shoes, or the handgloves for that matter. I look like I'm trying to fly away if I try it without the handgloves. I just don't feel balanced "naked".

Dragonfly - I'm so glad that you're enjoying the workouts! One thing I could never do in the beginning with Cardio Party or the 20 min. workout was watch her sister. She moves more than the others, if that's possible & throws me off.

I don't have CP3. Someone on here told me about the music/beat issue & I have ISSUES with that so I never looked into it. If you can't keep with the music, don't put it on there!!!! (speaking as a former dancer & marching band nerd LOL)
  • Lyn_Matthews
    Lyn_Matthews Posts: 902 Member
Yeah for marching band nerds!!!! The beat issue will only be an issue until I get the routine down, then I just go with the flow. Sara my dad was a music director (just retired last year) so I grew up around music/marching bands/jazz bands etc etc etc so beat is a HUGE issue with me too.

I agree with you on Janelle, I don't know how she moves more than the rest but she sure does. Oh and Holly...the chunky black hair girl...her hair is BLONDE in CP3 (or is it a different workout? idk) anyway it just looks WRONG...hahaha

Kelly I usually don't log Ab Jam since it's a strength workout. But if you'd like I can do it wearing my HRM and tell you how many I burn so it will give you an idea.

    Happy Friday Everybody!!
Yea for us- we made it! I did 30 min strength training this morning, getting ready for ye ole pilates for lunch, and will do 20 min workout tonight to keep with the schedule - i'm trying to follow the directions, lol!
Gottaluvboys - I haven't tried it yet , supposed to start adding it in w/ the 20 min next week
    .
Drevensmom - great tip on that sister; she is an active one!! I kind of like the chick on the left side riser whose lost like 70 lbs or something - she looks so toned~ she's like a beast! I really like the little chunky one in the front - what enthusiasm I would love to see her b4 pix. She puts so much into it!

3babybeans - Glad to see you, I am scheduled for the first go round w/ PJ & K on Sunday I will let you know how it goes ~ If I can still reach the key board, lol.

Have a fantastic day, family and I'll holla at cha later!

You can log "strength training" under aerobics. I log it just so I can remember what days I do that & TS. It gives some tiny number for the 20 min. (like 70). I try to ignore them. LOL

Dragonfly - good luck with PK&J! It's a fun one!

I like Holly too-I guess it's not nice to call her chunky...she's the more realistic one hehehe. Oh and Anna Rita (the one on the riser...she's amazing. 70 lbs is a lot and I love her interview where she talks about going to the classes "and there's this hyper little blonde in my face 'hi, hi hi'" It cracks me up.

Good luck with PJ&K it's really different from the 20 minute. Fun, very fun but different!

I did CP and Ab Jam. I still need to get the Shred in today, sometime soon....but DD needs a bath so I must get that done, then maybe she'll take a nap so I can finish my workouts.

OK...so make that AB Jam, CP, and 20 min workout for me today. I'm thinking about doing 30 min of pilates later on tonight once the kiddos are in bed.

Keep up the good work ladies!!!!

    Hey Jam Family!,
Happy weekend to everybody. DH brought home barbeque and potato salad for dinner last night trying to be thoughtful.......and today was weigh in day,oh boy. It was really sweet of him and I didn't want to be rude. Most days I pretty diciplined with the food diary so I ate some. 2 ribs and 3 thin slices of brisket and 1/2 cup of the dreaded potato salad to be exact. I went to food heaven, if but for a moment , LOLOL- good news was I did not eat any bread (miracle) and when the food was gone - that was it (except for sugar free jello pudding.. which is my current fav)
Got up this morning trying not to beat myself up for the food ... I was like 350 cals over my daily allowance:grumble: but that was to be expected. and I enjoyed it . We had a nice evening.
Any who, weighed in and guess what ????? 2lbs gone since last week!!! Woo Hoo!! and I know it is largely to do with the support I am getting from you guys sharing your own journeys. So, I want to say thank you. I feel very grateful that we have each other for that motivation, encouragement and support - even if I'm new to the thread. You guys are my heroines!!!!!
Gottaluvboys- Your already a total hottie!!! Give yourself a big (((hug))) Proud of you for adding the TS, I haven't tried that yet but I do 20 minute of pilates 5 days a week (denise austin) and I love the core strength and flexiblity it has helped me develop - keep it up.
    What do you use (dvd?)

Have a great weekend everybody and I'll check ya later

Good job, dragonfly! That 2# loss is awesome! We all need a little room in our diets now & then. Congrats!!!

Kelly - I LOVE TS, too. One of my faves.

This house has been nuts the past few days with fevers & runny noses & people refusing naps so I only got in AbJam yesterday & TurboSculpt so far today. I'm hoping to get in at LEAST the 20 min. with hubby in later. We'll see what happens. M has a fever today & T is teething (and I think sick on top of it)so it has been snot-on-mommy all day today. Oh, well. There's always tomorrow!

Lyn - I hope you found the motivation. I often don't have any until I get my shoes on & then it is ON! LOL

Well I completed the full dvd of Cardio Party earlier! Only had to stop it 3 times to take a quick breather but I am really happy that I got through it!

It's a hell of a lot tougher that the 20min and now after reading through all your posts I feel like I should be doing more

How do you all have time to fit in all these workouts:noway: I barely have time to do anything once I get home from college!!

After the workout earlier, I got a blister on my big toe and its a killer to walk on it now, its deep under the skin so I cant even burst it and make it go away quicker  (i'm wearing my runners too!) Did anyone else get blisters when they first started working out??

Dragonfly...wtg on the 2 lb loss! Glad you enjoyed your night w/ your DH:smile: If you like pilates I think you will enjoy the TS. It's a nice strength training workout. As far as pilates I have a few different dvd's, but my current favorite is "Pick Your Level Weight Loss Pilates".

    Have a great day!!!:flowerforyou:

WTG on doing the CP!!! It is so much fun!!!

As far as fitting in the workouts I mainly workout while the kiddos are napping. Occasionally, once they go to bed at night. Thankfully, my DH is on board w/ this and doesn't mind our dirty house:laugh:  Good luck w/ that blister...ouch!!!:flowerforyou:

Deedun-Congrats on completing Cardio Party. It's fun. I like it and Cardio Party 2...I'm still learning CP3 :indifferent: I got blisters when I wasn't wearing shoes to do my workouts...thats why I wear shoes now  I try to get my workouts done while my DD is napping but lately shes not cooperating so I just get done what I can.
Kelly-Congrats on doing TS...that is one that I don't do very often but I know I should...I need to work it in a couple times a week.
Sara-I didn't find my motivation and DD woke up before I even got the dvd on.

I did get Fat Blaster done today. The last 10 minutes or so I was holding DD, 17 lbs sure ups your heart rate. :noway: I wanted to get more done but it just didn't happen. Oh well.
Happy to see you all on the board today. Keep it up Jammers!

Well I could only manage 20mins of cardio party with this blister on my toe :grumble: I cant even get at it as it is so deep under the skin...

Yesterday was weird for me, I hardly ate anything and I wasnt hungry. I had over 600cals left over, I have never had that before..

Anyways, I have just ordered my Fat Blaster off ebay! Really getting into this!!

Any tips on how to clear up this blister so I can get back to my workouts?
