I leave my 11 year old son home alone to run for a little bit, if my15 year old daughter isn't able to watch him, but THAT is just ridiculous!

That is so irresponsible. I don't care what reasons/excuses they have.

OMG, NEVER! Take the baby out for long, fast walks. Ok. But leaving the kid alone????? Anything could happen. That's a NO GO.

There should be laws against who is allowed to breed.

If they can't take the baby with them then they shouldn't ever leave the house without them. It's called "jogging in place". I don't even like leaving my dogs in the house when I go up the road, must less a baby!!

That's completely disgusting...and she'd be the first one to act the victim if a person or animal broke in and harmed the baby, or if there was a fire or accident...why would you even want to leave your newborn alone?!

EXACTLY....Protective Services should be notified. It only takes 30 seconds for a fire to start. Geeeeeeeezus! :grumble:

It's a good thing she wrote in anonymously. I'm sure there are several people that would hunt her down.

I AM a mom - I have 4 kids and the ONLY time any of them have ever been left alone is if I had to walk to the mailbox in my front yard with my baby monitor attached to my hip.

I was always under the impression that you are not supposed to leave children under the age of 10 YEARS old home alone.

I am unsure of the actual legal requirements though.
  • Mine are 9 and 6 and I don't even leave them alone for a few minutes...you just never know what will happen...that's just crrrrazy!!!

Completely not logical!!! Your desire to workout should never endanger your child. There are so many alternatives to leaving your child unattended.

I prefer to drop the kids off at the pool before a jog.
  • I'd just duct tape to turd to my back and count the extra weight as an exercise aid.
