I really can't believe that we here all for the SAME GOAL are talking about what type of pix we shud have up.... REALLY MFP PHAM!!!!! Look we all are busting our *kitten* to loss weight, lessen bodyfat and look good feel good and live healthy. Y not show it off u worked hard for it we can't feel good about ourselves to post some half naked pic's? Looking at a person's profile picture is a clue into what the person is like. In other words, I think it's more about character and personality rather than the picture. Claiming that it might be misleading is placing a quick judgment on that person. Quite frankly, when I get to know someone, that's when I find out if they are inspirational or not.

I don't judge others based on what they look like, nor should I judge others as to what they put up on their profiles. Who the hell cares what people put up there. That's the beauty of freedom in this country.

I can't understand not wanting to post personal photos of yourself but there are ways to be adults and professional about it, we don't need to be half naked to show progress. I kind of see both sides. Personally I get so motivated and excited watching the changes in people I've met on here and use that to fuel my days when I'm down in the dumps to perk me up and get back to it.

Well I guess I don't have to be half naked. But I don't own a swimsuit *shrugs*

I had a big belly and thunder thighs at one point and have worked so hard to get where I am at now. I am okay with showing it off!
I haven't got any messages that it offends anyone yet so i guess its okay for now xD

Don't forget this is the Internet. People here are from all walks of life .. and come from varying levels of the collective gene pool. Don't be so naive to assume that EVERY photo is a reflection of any poster or of their personality. I've seen some people that look harmless enough, and turn out to be .. well .. not. .. and Vicaversee.

Don't judge a book by it's cover. A person's outward appearance is the least important factor in judging 'what the person is like'.

I think it's misleading to post a picture of an avatar, etc. as yourself on a weight loss web site. I think we're here to be honest about our true selves and what we need to work on. Thoughts?

I personally am not comfortable with posting a picture of myself on a public forum on the world wide web. Hence I have my starsign posted instead.

Besides, I find inspiration more from people's COMMENTS, or blogs posted here. Even if it's just one sentence that hits the nail on the head, or something we can all relate to, or a message of comfort and encouragement when someone feels down, that is enough inspiration for me, REGARDLESS of whether their avatar is of a cat/socks/cartoon character/T&A/etc.
