Right upper arm - Ankh (I have been fascinated with ancient Egypt since I was really young)
Bikini line, left side - heart with a peace sign in it - there's a good reason why minors should not be allowed to get tattoos. I no longer fancy myself a hippy but 2 of the 6 stretch marks I got while pregnant. I am going to cover it with a running horse in the style of the Tang Dynasty.
Considering a vertical one on my right side ribcage when I reach goal.0 -
barbs and stars on my abs... no real significant message they give off... i thought they looked cool...0
-
I have a 3 stars asending in size down the back of my neck. They represent my brother and two sisters. I have a few ideas for the future but I havent decided for sure where I want them.0
-
Left wrist, says L'amour Suffit (translates in English to Love is Enough)
Right side of neck under my ear, it's the roman numeral 2 (II) with decorations. Sibling tattoo.
Looks like this:0 -
Mine is a Franz Marc painting. He painted a lot of animals, especially horses. I love art, and horses are my life and career, so it made sense to get it. This one especially since I just moved across the country to work mostly with babies.
I might turn it into a quarter sleeve with some of his other horse paintings. I know I want others too, just not sure what yet.0 -
I've posted this before so I may be boring people...
But I want a tat of a black line vertically down the back of my legs, reminiscent of vintage stockings.
That will look so sexy with your ice skating outfit0 -
I currently have 8. (I say currently because I plan on many, many more.)
-Autumn tree on my left upper arm
-Artsy skull on my upper right arm
-Daughter's birth footprints (about an inch long- she was born 4 months early) and her name on my right forearm (inside)
-Grandpa's name and birth/death years on my left forearm (inside)
-Type O Negative band logo and song lyrics on the back of my neck
-Silouhettes of the Beatles in their HELP! poses on the backs of my legs (2 on each)
-A dumb, crappy straightedge tattoo on my lower back (mistake at the age of 18)
I plan on finishing both upper arms into half-sleeves that will extend back onto my shoulder blades, adding colours and song lyrics around the Beatles, a treble/bass clef heart behind an ear, ravens with Edgar Allan Poe quotes on my feet, and a sea turtle somewhere on my body.0 -
I have two and a half
The first and the first one I ever had was snake skin down my spine. It reaches from just at the start of my hair line on my neck to just above my butt crack.
The second ( and this is where two and a half come in) was a group of signatures from my (second ) favourite band. They signed my arm at a festival and I had it tattooed. I I knew I needed something else there but it's taken me a while.
The half is the fact I am currently in the process of getting roses and skulls around the signatures on the lower half of my arm. In fact today I've just gotten one of the skulls shaded and one of the roses.
I have plans for many others, including dragon wings on my back, cut out on my ribs showing android parts, a chest piece with an exploding heart and the words 'thank you for the venom'.
There is one piece I'm not getting until I've lost weight, I want two ray guns on my stomach as if tucked into my jeans. However not until it's nice and flat.0 -
I had the same idea on a side piece if I lose 45 more pounds! (Except I want flowers!) I have 4 so far and my boyfriend has 100's!0
-
I have a lotus flower, surrounded by ukiyo-e style water and under the sanskrit character Om, on my lower back.
On my right shoulder I have a pair of worn cowboy boots, with a sparrow sitting on top (this was for my parents - my dad has this beat-up pair of boots he ALWAYS wears, so I brought in a picture of that, and the sparrow is for my mom. She died when I was 16, and there is a myth about sparrows carrying the souls of the dead.)
Not sure what I'll get next - I have too many ideas, haha. And the poster who warned you that tattoos are addicting is exactly right - hardly anyone I know stopped at just one!0 -
The word "Faith" in the inside of my left wrist, and a broken heart with wings on my right ankle.0
-
I have four -
a custom ankh on my lower back (what is now affectionately known as a tramp stamp)
a Radiohead symbol that stands for "meeting people is easy"
my zodiac sign on my left foot
my husband's zodiac on my right foot.
I have my next two planned...
a double sail sailboat resembling my grandmother's favorite necklace
the words "Quo Vadimus" which translates (in latin) to "Where are we going?"0 -
3. An American Indian on my left shoulder, a Tahitian sun tribal tat on my right shoulder and a big sun/star like image that was custom drawn on my upper back.
I'm amazed at some of the idiotic tattoo's I see in my part of the world0 -
i have a lotus on the underside of my left wrist... purple and green and then i have a willow tree on my upper back.
i am hoping to get a few more as rewards over the course of the next year or so... still trying to decide what though.0 -
I have this on my arm
I think I will get a target on my lower back once i reach my goal weight0 -
on my lower back I have music notes & stars, my first tattoo, I hate it, I got it almost 6 years ago just after my 18th birthday. On my left collarbone/front of shoulder I have my daughter's name (she passed away at birth), and on my right shoulder/upper arm I have flowers that are a work in progress, will be just short of a half-sleeve when its finished0
-
Mainly scars.........does that count?0
-
I have 2; I have a daisy on my left hip in memory of my best friend, and a tribal butterfly on my left shoulder blade that I want to add to.0

it speaks to me..0 -

Curiosity is driving me to ask which band! My tattoo artist has a tattoo of a signature that I want but will never get. lol0 -
I got inked for the first time this year. I always knew that my since I was young that I wanted a turtle tattoo. It just took me until now to finally found the artist and courage to actually get one. I don't know why, but I love turtles! I love the symbol, the look, the vibe of turtles. You can see my tattoo on my ticker.
I am planning on getting more though. I'm looking at getting a half sleeve on my left arm of cherry blossoms and a fairy. People ask me why I would do this to my skin and to just imagine how it will look when I'm old. Well when I'm old and wrinkly I won't be wearing tank tops, tube tops, or strap dresses anymore so I don't really need to worry about that.0 -
I have one so far..
J4 on my right ankle, it a family thing, my mom, dad, brother and myself names start with the letter J, and there are 4 of us, so J4, my next one is going to be something about my baby boy, don't know what yet. Husband wants me to do something with his name, I loooove him, but that is NOT happening :-)0 -
I have one, 3 planned for the near future! My first and only tattoo is HELLO KITTY
I'm obsessed.

Husband wants me to do something with his name, I loooove him, but that is NOT happening :-)
I have the names of our 'in game' characters on one of the books on my arm (we used to play a lot of online role-playing games) - I figure after 17 years might as well, and if we do break up - well, his name was Manx - and I like cats.... so ;-)0 -
I have one on the inside of my left wrist that says "hope" my sister and I both got the word hope tattooed in honor of our mother who is a breast cancer survivor.
I have a musical note and a star on the top of my right foot- to symbolize my love of music and that one day I will make it my career
I am getting a third one- it will be the phrase "raise a little hell" to represent a camp that I volunteer at (its a phrase taken from the founder, lovely, lovely man) and I also want to tie into that something to do with running and doing my first ever 5.6 mile road race. It will be on the inside of my left foot.0 -

I think vintage stockings are sexy as hell.0 -
I have three and was over 40 before I got the first one. My husband & I both got our first one together for our 22th wedding annivisary, I got a butterfly on my right ankle then. The second one I got as a memorial for my mother & sister they died within 13 days of eachother in 2001, its a beautiful cross with two red roses and thier names and death dates. I just got the third one this month with my baby sister who I just found 2 yrs ago after searching for her for yrs. we have the same dad but different mother's and the last time I saw her was at our father's funeral, I was 10 & she was 5. Our maiden name is Cardinal, so we got Cardinal birds on our left ankle so we would always be together even when we are apart, we live 2400 miles from eachother. for me tats are very meaningful so I am going to think long and hard on the one that I will get when this weight loss journey is over to celebrate it. Remember that when you pick yours and that you will have it forever. Good Luck I hope you find just the right one.0

left foot - (pink) breast cancer awareness ribbon w/heart - lost my nana to bc a few years ago. I got it last year.
right foot - (blue) cancer awareness ribbon w/yellow yeart - my dad has been battling colorectal cancer the last year. I got that tat a couple weeks ago.
I have plans to get at least one more but more than likely 2.0 -
My first is a teenie tiny turtle on my butt (I was 16 and had to hide it). On my left shoulder blade I started with a sun and moon then added vines and flowers around it, then added a hummingbird (my mom got the same one), then I added my daughters name and stars above the sun. I have a hideous frog and lily on my ankle that I would like to scrape off.
My next will be with my dad. We are getting a bicycle with a parrot on it. I just need a good artist to draw it out. No cartoonish crap.0 -
I have two. One on my stomach that I got as a hard-bodied 17 year old that never thought of having kids or getting fat. Looks a bit different at nearly 100 pounds heavier. Ugh. Want that one gone.
The other is a a celtic knotwork band around my ankle.0
