Then there are two possible ways to approach this:
- either you go cold turkey
- or you take little steps. For instance, if you used to eat a whole chocolate, limit yourself to a few squares a day. If you have a piece of cake each day after lunch, make it each other day. If you drink sodas, replace them slowly by water and unsweetened tea. Every few grams less count.
When you find it hard, think that people with diabetes are not even allowed to eat fruit! Why not giving up sweets when you can still choose to eat them next day instead of having to give up everything with sugar in it for good?
