What do you think of Men that frequent strip clubs? Let's say, Guy in question has friends that work at the club, friend's wives/SOs that work at the club. So he goes frequently, stating it's no different than any other bar...

Discuss. This is an honest question. I need an outside perspective to figure out my own feelings about it *LOL*

    I wouldn't care for that situation myself. Occasionaly going is one thing, but o could not handle it as a regular hangout.

    I don't think this is the case necessarily, but now we know who has probably frequented strip clubs and paid for hookers....overshared, oops? :drinker:

    It's funny. I'm a creeptastic perv of at least level 8 status. But I've never much cared for strip clubs. Just too lacking in any kind of subtlety for my tastes..or something..

    Interesting. I've been to many strip clubs, and yet, not once have I paid for sex. I guess I possess the strongest willpower on the planet.

    To be clear... She asked my opinions. My thought was "If it doesn't bother you, then it doesn't matter what I think."

    But in my head, I'm wondering if it were my SO, would it bother me?? I'm really not sure...

    If he has friends that work there it's probably no different in his eyes than going to the local pub where his buddies hang out. I've known guys that are friends with strippers and dudes that work at the clubs, and really, they're so not in to stripper *kitten*. They're truly just there to chill with their bros.


    If a dude is going to be shady/unfaithful/sneaky ... he's going to do it whether he's kickin' it at the strip joint or not.

    Well then I would keep my nose out of it, personally... lol!!

    as for me, my husband does not go to them, has never been, and has no desire to go to one... Our church has a ministry specifically for women who have been on the street and involved in the sex industry, which is not the same thing as stripping, but there is a complex relationship between the two... so because of mt knowledge of the women in this ministry, we've learned a lot about what these situations (strip clubs) can sometimes lead to for the women who work in them.

    ...not to mention the ways in which pornography, prostitution, and human trafficking (including of underage boys/girls) are related...

    So, we consciously avoid supporting any of those industries!! (strip clubs, pornography, etc.)

    Once in a while, especially if I can go too, is ok, but when it becomes a routine thing, not cool.

    I wouldn't be accepting of that. It's ok for other people - in other words, I don't think they're up to something or have the wrong intentions, I'm just not ok with some facets of strip clubs in general (socially speaking, so I won't put that here). If he's still into that as a large part of his lifestyle, I wouldn't be interested in being his girlfriend.

    If we go together, it doesn't bother me, I use to work at one when I fist met my husband and he hated it, so I stopped. I didn't like the lifestyle after a while. I go occasionally, haven't been in over 3 years though.

    I guess it would bother me if he was going with his guy friends because I know what truely happens in some areas, lol
