Howdy everyone!
This is my first Christmas with my husband and I'm trying to figure out what to buy him (I got him a book last year while we were dating and that was a definite flop!) For his birthday I'm getting him a churchwarden pipe, zippo, and tobacco because he has shown interest in all of these things.....how do I get an equally cool gift for him for Christmas?
The budget is 60 dollars for a gift and stocking stuffers. I was thinking a video game, but that just seems so boring and then I could probably only get him one thing.
Here are a few things definitely going into his stocking:
Christmas ornament
coupon book for "favors"
socks and underware
candy....you know all the basic stocking things.
OK, super cool ideas.....GO

Thats a tough one... I have a hard time with my husband... we just got a new house (ok, new to us... it is an old house!) so I am getting him things for the garrage this year for christmas... not overly fun, but he can use them, and will more than anything else I would get him!0

depending on what he does for a living...if he is in an office, a nice pen is always a winner in my opinion.0
-
Honestly, my wife gets me socks and underwear every year. A big winner in my book.0

You would make an awesome wife!!! Brownie points earned!!
I usually get undies...GF has a thing for sexy underwear0 -
maybe you could get him somerthing fun to do, like i don't know where you live (so I don't know if they will deliver near you - they definetly deliver in the uk) but I know this is a good website for presents --> http://www.iwantoneofthose.com/
my brother has always loved the stuff I've got from this website :happy:0 -
Hmmmm...well let's see...last year, my husband and I went on a big trip to Atlanta to meet his family (we were still just engaged at the time) so we made a pact that it had to fit in the suitcase with all of our stuff, leave room for souvenirs and be less than $75.
I searched high and low...and finally found him a robe that was Mossy Oak patterned. He's big into hunting. It only cost $35. He also had this keychain that he had had for years...he got it at an Air Force Air Show (one of those Remove Before Flight tags) and he is in the Air Force so it means a lot to him...and it was totally falling apart...so I searched for weeks online and finally found one. $10. He also loves those strawberry bon bon candies so I bought a bunch of those.
So what I think is that you should put a ton of thought into whatever it is you are going to give him. Socks and underwear are great, but you can give him those at any time. Video game, same thing...think of something that he needs or wants that has escaped his grasp because he forgets about it, or because he doesn't have time to deal with it.0 -
He likes video games, is an electrician, doesn't like to read, is into art (but more like FX/make up and masks than painting or drawing) collects knives (but is trying to minimize his collection since we hope to have kids soon)
Are clothes lame?
would a very stuffed socking with all sorts of stuff form BUDK be cool? (he's obcessed with that freakin magazine)
would lingire for me to wear but for him be "selfish" or lame?0 -

valet station for his electronics/change
valet station for his clothing (hang pants and suit jacket)
sports memorabilia
I went to shaperimage.com and improvementscatalog.com and got some great ideas
I also like Bombay & Cie for good organizational items and bar gear.0 -
Well personally my husband and I don't exchange gifts on Christmas. It's more for the children and we do plenty of stuff together throughout the year. I have one male friend who isn't easily satisfied so he prefers to get gift cards.
Without knowing his tastes or preferences, I would say tap into any quirky collections or things he really likes and try to buy something unique to him online.0 -
In the same boat - getting married in May and saving money forthe wedding, We have a $50 cap. I agree with the video game, He says thats something he can by for himself so I won't be getting him those, He does love Golf and football (Redskins) and last year I went on Overstock.com and ordered him a sack of golfballs and then some Redskins gear. Prob going to do something like that this year since it was a big hit last year! Good Luck and I'll be coming back to this tread to see other ideas!0

his may be a winner...he's def a geek0 -
Right, so... good "guy" gifts. Some guys like South Park... some guys like Thomas Pynchon. Hard to give suggestions with very little information about what he likes. But if he's into a churchwarden pipe, maybe you can get him a vintage looking pocketwatch or something in the same alt/retro style (whittlin' knife? leatherbound journal?)0

My husband of 15 years is a wonderful man, but I have yet to pick a gift for him that wasn't a flop. He does get into different historical periods and likes costumes. (Yes. I know he's crazy. He married me, didn't he?) Years ago it was a Pharoah costume. Then Roman soldier. Then Renaissance. Then Pirate. Now Colonial. Yes, it can get expensive. The last few years his "gift" for birthdays and Christmas has been to buy himself whatever costume or accessories his heart delights in without so much as a sideways glance from me.
My point? Sometimes it's okay to let them pick it out themselves. Our approval of it is enough of a gift to please them.0 -
This would be a christmas gift I would never forget.

Get him a Shaving Kit. Something with a badger hair brush, soap, a holder, and a cup for making hot lather. Google it, there are a lot of nice kits to buy online.0

My husband is always happy with tools.
He always gets a starbucks gift card along with a new travel mug and starbucks whole bean coffee.
I want to get him the new blue ray Star Wars movie.
Clothes are never lame.
I also always get him socks and underwear. I didn't last year and he was really disappointed. I couldn't beleive he was actually disappointed but he was. So this year, he is getting his socks and underwear.
A nice watch
Stocking stuffers for me this year will be hard since we are now living a healthy lifestyle. I usually get him specialty candies from places around here. I'll still get him one of 2 but that's all.
Oh. My husband loves beer (NOT a big drinker though) and this year I am going to get him a variety pack of specialy beers I saw at Sams. This will certainly be a hit with him0 -
I got mine a remote-controlled helicopter last year from Brookstone, and he was like a little kid...so excited! He still plays with it pretty often! (note...if you do this..buy the 'warranty' for like $5, because you can get a whole new one every time they crash & break it!).0

An electric smoker. I have one that I use year round. Great and healthy way to cook.0

If you have a Gamestop near you, a subscription to their magazine, which also comes with a card that gives you 10% off on used games. Totally worth it. It will pay for itself in no time.0

my suggestions would be with such a tiny budget, buy yourself a real sexy piece of lingerie and buy some new bedroom toys and plan a romantic christmas morning with chocolate covered strawberries and champgne mimosa's in pretty wine glasses set up on the coffee table, some marvin sease dvd playing in the background (recommends the song candylicker to give him a clue) then give him a striptease show by the glow of the twinkling lights. Or simply let him unwrap you if you put ribbons and bows all over yourself. He would like that alot I bet.
for the rest of the money not sure what he likes but if he likes movies
try the harry potter entire movie collection blue ray dvd gift set
sports team fan hsn.com sells these sherpa fleece football throws which are 60x80 queen size omg so soft warm and amazing
guys wont want clothing or socks or underwear, sorry your not mommy he can shop for himself.
blue ray dvd player are under $100 and am sure they will have sales
if he is into music maybe something to do with that, guitarist always need new pics and strings
car wash gift certificate
duncan donuts or other local place for a coffee gift card so he can get that on his way to work or home.
sampler gift packs of things he likees, like gourmet coffees, hot sauces, garlic items, whatever he is into
sports is always good, his fave team get him a new travel mug in that team logo, work badge lanyard in team logo
if you get him clothing stick to the sports teams, guys can never have too many sports team shirts, jerseys, sweatsheets, tshirts or hoodies.
buy him a gift of a basket of baked goods from several web sites that cater in adult pastries shaped in kinky things just google it.
do not buy him things his Mommy would of ever bought him, you dont want a newly wed husband to confuse the two fo you in the least... let his mom kept sending him those items for christmas lol.
good luck and have a wonderful holiday season!0 -
Honestly - I think you can skip the coupon book of "favors". Insteady buy 12 slutty lingerie outfits and tell him you've enrolled him in the Shag of the Month Club.
Also saves on marriage counseling.
