    My goal is more than last month (which was just under 120, I think). I think I'm gonna make it!

    On the bike trainer:
    12/1 - 60 minutes - 13.42 miles
    12/2 - 30 minutes - 7.61 miles
    12/3 - 60 minutes - 14.58 miles
    12/5 - 30 minutes - 6.42 miles (much higher resistance because had to use a different trainer)
    12/7 - 30 minutes - 7.33 miles (so glad my trainer is repaired!)
    12/8 - 30 minutes - 8.12 miles (pushed myself)
    12/9 - 35 minutes - 9.80 miles (pushed myself a bit more)
    12/10 - 40 minutes - 11.16 miles (pushed myself a little bit more)
    12/11 - 45 minutes - 11.29 miles (less intensity today)
    12/12 - 50 minutes - 12.57 miles (like yesterday, moderate intensity, good cadence, not too high HRT)
    12/13 - 30 minutes - 7.40 miles (legs a bit toasted so tried to keep 80 rpm, and not too high HRT)
    Total so far: 109.71 miles

    Working my way out of my 30 minute rut...

    December 1: 22 km-cold, but not raining
    December 4: 20 km-cold, not raining and the sun did finally come out in the afternoon.
    December 6: 46 km- rode to and from work today, tired tonight
    December 7: 20 km- decided to take the shorter route with 5 km along highway and tried to ignore the big scary trucks.
    December 8: 20 km- cold, but sunny. I forgot my darn keys at school again and could not lock my bike up at my drop off spot and had to put it on the trolley to get it up the mountain and then walk the final 1.5km up the mountain. I hope by next spring I will be able to ride most of the way up this dang mountain, but I am not there yetl grumble
    December 11: only 8 km. My husband forgot his keys and i had to stop my ride, so we went for a walk instead.

    December 12: 45-rode to work and back today, it was sooooooo cold in the morning

    My headlight flashlight called it quits on me over the last few days, getting dimmer and dimmer. I guess my eyes were getting used to it until it just got so bad that I could barely see. Today I ran over to costco (across the street from my office) and bought a three pack of flashlights for $20. I hooked one up to my handle bars and was able to average 16.5 mph on my ride home in the dark. It was so nice to see again. :drinker:

    As I have mentioned before I got a slow start to this month, but after my commute today I am back on target for my monthly goal as well as my yearly goal. 110 Miles MTD, 175 to go which is 8 more commutes. I'll make my yearly goal if I am out riding around on Christmas Day!!!

    I finally got my *kitten* on a bike, and my 17y/o son tells me that he wants to start working out. He wants to be in better shape!!! That means I have to modify my work out to incorporate him into it. That also means no regular cycling... I am going to be short of my goal!!! On the bright side, I get to decide..... P90x or Insanity.... He's gonna hurt.

    Dec total: 90 miles.

    It's been a cold and rainy week in AZ! Finally have clear skies, dry roads and sunshine again. Woot!

    12-02 - 85 Minutes - 17 Miles - 1781 Calories - Sunny, cold and moderate winds.
    12-03 - 75 Minutes - 18 Miles - 2023 Calories - Sunny, 52 degrees, strong cross and tail winds.
    12-04 - 70 Minutes - 17 Miles - 1820 Calories - Trainer ride. Cold, rainy and windy outside.
    12-05 - 70 Minutes - 17 Miles - 1267 Calories - Trainer again.
    12-06 - 70 MInutes - 17 Miles - 1553 Calories - Trainer ride again. Getting the tension dialed in now.
    12-07 - 70 Minutes - 15 Miles - 1589 Calories - Sunny, cold and windy. 35 when I started; 30 degrees when I finished.
    12-09 - 77 Minutes - 17 Miles - 3033 Calories - Trainer ride. Someone messed with the tension on the trainer.
    12-11 - 85 Minutes - 16 Miles - 1700 Calories - Sunny, cold and windy. 42 degrees.
    12-12 - 80 MInutes - 16 Miles - 1816 Calories - Cloudy, cold, 42 degrees. Less wind.
    12-13 - 73 Minutes - 17 Miles - 3198 Calories - Trainer Ride. To rainy and cold out to ride.
    12-14 - 74 Minutes - 17 Miles - 3003 Calories - Trainer Ride. Still raining hard.
    12-15 - 122 Minutes - 23 Miles - 2431 Calories - 42 degrees. Cold, strong head winds and cross winds.

    I finally got my *kitten* on a bike, and my 17y/o son tells me that he wants to start working out. He wants to be in better shape!!! That means I have to modify my work out to incorporate him into it. That also means no regular cycling... I am going to be short of my goal!!! On the bright side, I get to decide..... P90x or Insanity.... He's gonna hurt.

    That's an opportunity of a life time, work out together for as long as you can. :-)
