What was the best thing that happened to you this year?

I moved from Minnesota to London!! My life has just fallen into place perfectly since then. Great job. New friends. Lost weight. Finally got my dream man, literally .0

I lost so far 180 lbs, rode a roller coaster for the first time in forever, I got a new job where I make more money and am appreciated, shop at a regular store instead of a fat man store, but I would say the best thing is the way I changed how I view food.0

1. Getting a job that is a perfect fit for my career right now.

I wore a bikini in public and was more muscular than I've ever been in my entire 32 years of life.0

I met the love of my life, David. He's an absolute blessing! There's not a day that goes by that I don't thank God for him.0

I got a horse. My boyfriend and I celebrated our 1 year anniversary. :]0

Stopped smoking the 6th of september.
Got in shape, eat well, lost 13 lbs so far

Got a bangin job with a lot more money, lost 16 pounds and only 2 more to go, I am ending the year very, very happy and that is the best thing of all.0

I maintain that the highlight of this year was getting a question right at trivia night.. the questing being "this is the start of what song" with the beginning sound of a guitar, nothing else. and I answered correctly Fight For Your Right To Party - Beastie Boys.

losing 83lbs in the last 9 months. other than that its been pretty crappy; unemployed for the last 4 months with no unemployment benefits, moved back in with my mom in a pretty much condemned house that i hate, and several other things.0

Mine are small in comparison:
Finally went to Yellowstone...got to see the mountains and it woke me up. I realized I wanted to get in shape and be healthy again so I can have many more vaction hiking and exploringthe amazing world around me!
I feel so alive and happy now that I have made a commitment to taking care of myself!0 -
My husband returned from a 10 1/2 month deployment, we got a second puppy, we got to visit each of our families, and we bought our first house. Great year!0

Finally conceived and gave birth to my second child after 9 months of trying to conceive and moved 5-6 hours drive away from the toxic in-laws.0

-Finding MFP and all my MFP pals
-Getting diagnosed as hypothyroid--finally a confirmation that I wasn't crazy, that I really have a medical condition that killed my metabolism --feeling soooo much better on meds
-Letting my BF more and more into my heart and seeing how wonderful love can be (even if it is a lot of work)
-Making some new gf's in my new city
-The confidence I've found via MFP0 -
Met the love of my life here on MFP. Lost 82 pounds of my 161 pounds total. 7 pounds away from losing half my original body weight from my heaviest of 336 lbs.0

The birth of my daughter. Moving to Illinois.0

Got married (awww).
Quit the 9 to 5 and started freelancing full time.
Reconnected with a former friend.
Renewed my library card.
Developed a healthy relationship with food.
Wore out my first pair of running shoes.
2011 was pretty awesome.0 -
My son was born and survived having a congenital lung mass, ECMO and being in the NICU for 3 months. The other best thing is that now he sleeps through the night. It really sucked getting up so often and tube feeding him at 4am.
I'm ready for 2012 to be really awesome!0 -
