BLACK TEAM CHALLENGE WEEK 9

Hey gang! Hope you are all having a terrific Tuesday!
Not looking forward to weighing in...not only have I come up on the p-word, but TOM is approaching. It's going to be U-G-L-Y. Sorry, kids. Still plan on kicking my own rear at step class tonight. Maybe switching things up will help. Who knows?
Sam, Sara, and Andrew- We don't have any kids of our own yet, but I can definitely remember my little sister always wanting to run around naked when she was that age. Shoot, she would rather be naked now and she is 20!
TOM sucks! I was planning on making the same appologies tonight after Bobbi posted the new thread. Stupid stupid TOM. :grumble:
If you are at a p-word, though, I honest to goodness suggest the food shock method. It has worked twice for me! The feeling the next day is horrible, but it gets the scale a movin'! *hugs* We love you no matter what the scale says, Shuntae!
Oh, and I feel for your sister. If I could just stay home by myself all day long, well, let's just say the curtains would be closed.
I may have to try the food shock method and see what it does. I'm kind of wondering if it has more to do with being so close to my goal and my body being happy where it is. I know my last 4 are nothing short of vanity pounds (I picked my goal because it would be 100 pounds), so I'm going to switch some things up in the next few weeks and see where I end up at the beginning of April. If it's in the same spot, I think I can be pretty happy with 96 gone. No one will know it but me, anyway.
I can't believe I forgot to share this...but I bought a size 8 shirt for the first time ever last week (I was always pudgy, so this really made me happy.)!0 -
Oh, I hope the scale moves the right way for you, Marla! That would be so nice to see in the am! Love the new av! Is that Caleb? So cute!
I think we could do a chaity fundraiser & get at least three tummy tucks. I call the second! My second pregnancy gave me what I like to call, a raisin belly. I just wish one of those potions on the market got rid of stretch marks!
Nope-- this is Joshy in this picture-- it was fuzzy, but he wouldn't sit still at the basketball game, and this was the best picture my stupid phone would take. Caleb is the one in the silly hat in my profile.
My stretch marks look a menorah. Too bad I'm not Jewish.:ohwell:0 -
I didn't realize you only have 4 to go...to get to 100!!!! That's all I have, too! Good for you! The "vanity pounds" I'm refusing to accept b/c I think me wanting 5# after THAT would be vanity pounds. I really want THESE 4 gone...I know where they are & they need to leave!
How exciting about the shirt!!! Isn't that such a good feeling?! I bough 2 pairs of size 8 pants this weekend. I seriously haven't bought size 8 since my sophmore year of highshcool. I was much lighter then, but my body was shaped a LOT different than it is now. YAY for smaller sizes!!
Bravo, Shuntae!

Size 8? You skinny, little snot-- congratulations!!!!!!!! Oh my gosh, that must be sooooo awesome!!!!!
I got such a kick out of buying a large instead of extra large-- maybe, maybe, maybe if I can ever get off my last 19 pounds I can buy a medium-- fingers crossed!!!!!!0 -
Just enough time for a quick shout out..
Lynnie - sweet set up in your hotel room - sounds like you are all set - WAY TO GO!!
Sam - 4 miles running - I'd have to be chased by something very scary - and would likely get caught before 4 miles. Nice work..
Nicky - I'm worried about you.. have you seen a doc about your stomach? Take care of yourself my friend. Glad to hear you are still seeing "that boy" - must be good if he survived all the yuck earlier..YOU GO..
Andrew - I agree with Sara - sharp glass and snarling wolves would make me workout much harder (see above to Sam), but probably not on a treadmill..
Sara - did you ever see the skit on feeding a young child? I can't remember who did it, but it was a skills testing for people considering having children. It said something like, if you think you have the skills to feed a small child, suspend a ball with a small hole from the ceiling - start the ball swinging back and forth while you attempt to deposit teaspoons full of mushy food into the small hole. When you get good at that, you are ready to feed a small child.. Cracks me up everytime.. Sort of sounds like something Bill Cosby would say. I thought of this when you described trying to get pants on M.
Shuntae - I hope the scale turns in your favor. I bet it is because you are so close to goal. Me, I have no such excuse, but am feeling bloating and yucky - TOM coming I'm afraid..
LAST CHANCE WORKOUT = 1 hour workout in the pool tonight!! WOOT WOOT - can't wait.. have a nice 45-60 minute 1400 yard workout to do.. kicks my butt, but I love it..
Take care all - happy weigh ins tomorrow if I dont' make it back - busy work day today..

You could sell yourself on eBay! People buy anything if it looks like the right thing. Get a stretchmark pattern that looks like Jesus, Mary or Elvis & you're as good as gold! :bigsmile:0 -
Hey, Janie! I'll have to see if I can find that on youtube. Sounds like trying to feed T, dress M & bathe Z. It is pure insanity. I dont' know how we leave the house. I really don't. Good luck with your swim tonight! I'm jealous of your water time!0

I'm through...that was too funny!
I'll try that once I've added to the stretch marks I already have!0 -

I was thinking exactly the same thing when I read Marla's post - "should sell that on ebay" - the picture, not the Marla..

LOL-- hey, wonder how much money I could make?? Hmmmm0 -
She could stand in a museum somewhere & make thousands a day! Oooh, Marla! I think we have a new job for you!0
-
A stretch mark museum ? :noway: Somehow I'm not envisioning a long line to get in the joint-- especially considering my-- ummm-- boobal region is beginning to encroach on the stretch mark region. Scary stuff.
Put your thinking cap back on, my dear Mrs. Beans.0 -
Nicky – Hopefully it’s nothing bad. Feel better. And I guess we’ll give you a pass to skip your last chance workout today.
Sara – So you did 3 new things and the no mayo is like a bonus new thing? As picky as I am, I actually like asparagus. I don’t like starfruit. We tried tha a couple months ago and it tasted to me like dish soap. I’ve tried mango and it’s okay. What’s a leek? Is it like an onion? If so, bleh.
Shuntae – Darn that p-word! Good keeping positive though and still planning on working out. Yea! on the size 8. Feels great doesn’t it?
Marla – Wait! I still need to have 2 more babies before my tummy tuck! Getting one now would be a waste.0 -
Lori - Does Dave know that you're having 2 more babies or is this one of those "with our without him" plans?
Tada! A leek.
Radishes? Pak Choi? What about this thing?
Wonder what it tastes like.
I just did Yoga Burn. I burned 152 calories in 52 minutes. I usually burn about 550 cals during my 50 min. TJ workout so I was less than thrilled with the calorie count. HOWEVER, I did like it. I fell flat on my face one time...literally flat on my face, but that was a good thing. I hate when I do a workout for the first time & have it mastered. I like to practice b/c it makes it entertaining for me. I think I'll try to do this one on the weekends when I don't feel like TJing.
There's a yoga position called "the crow"
Ummm...OW!
Marla - it wouldn't be an entire museum devoted to it, just an exhibit. Have you ever been to a Ripley's Believe it or Not Museum? you'd fit right in there!0 -

Dave knows about the 2nd one. Well, he actually knows about the 3rd one too. He just hasn't said yes yet. But he has a few more years so we're good.
Hmm, maybe not a leek. I was thinking of maybe trying an ugly fruit if I can find one.
Yoga/pilates are relaxing and I like the way it feels to stretch all out. But I have bad balance so I fall over a lot. :laugh:0 -

You have noooooo idea.:laugh:0 -
OH EM GEE! Mark me down for #5! I was taking a pre-cardio/post-yoga break & decided to bust open one of my Stonyfield Farm Greek Yogurts I bought at the store today. I've heard people rave about Greek Yogurt so I had to try it b/c I love me some yogurt & Yoplait Light has splenda or asperatame...don't get me started. Anways. LOVE IT! 6 oz., honey on the bottom, SO creamy...130 cals., ZERO fat, 14g of protein! YUMMMMMY!

My new things so far have been running 4 miles on the treadmill, buying running shorts that are oh so comfy and trying out this new trick so I don't get an awful rash from running in said shorts! :blushing: :blushing: Deodorant so works!!!
It's not me with the next challenge.
GET TO THOSE LAST CHANCE WORKOUTS!!!!:noway:
No way-- deodorant, huh? All these years I could have avoided the discomfort!!!
My dream some day is to have thighs that actually DON'T rub together.
So works!!! And this IS my dream!!0 -
Oh, and I feel for your sister. If I could just stay home by myself all day long, well, let's just say the curtains would be closed.
The way I am feeling these last 2 days I might do this with the curtains OPEN!!!:blushing:
Weighed myself this morning said 179 lets pray tomorrow says the same thing.
Those running shorts I bought were a size large and I ordered some clothes from old navy and I fit into a size 12 mini skirt!! I went from a tight 18 and now some 12's fit YAY ME!!!:bigsmile:0 -
  :indifferent:    -> my day in smilies0

YAY 12's!! WOOT WOOT on the mini ! I LOVE IT!!! It's like that blue princess dress! I don't want to take it off!   :bigsmile:0 -
Nicky, hope you fell better soon.
Sam, YAY for the size 12's and I hope the scale says the same tomorrow.
Janie, so jealous of the swim. Enjoy!
For all I didn't mention, hope you are having a good day.0 -
  :indifferent:    -> my day in smilies
this is great..
so, at least you had a brief spot there where you felt well enough to be laughing.. maybe now you just need to power down so you can feel better..
You all are such an inspiration to me.. I would love to see 12's again.. Right now I am hovering around 16/14 - depending on water fluctuations (and whether or not I want them tight or loose).
Not sure I will ever get back to a miniskirt - my knees are too knobby.. :blushing: :blushing:0 -

Did "that boy" get you sick?
That boy frustrated me. He had me all alone to himself and didn't try to make a move. BOO. HMPH.
I can't wait to move. The stupid apartment is getting worse (because we have moving boxes in there, which I'm allergic to) and I find myself with headaches/migraines every day. :grumble: I wish I could open a window but they're all frozen shut. So instead I've been staying out of the place as much as i can and only going home long enough to sleep but that's really tiring!
Haha. I think I should just describe my day in smilies from now on. It's quicker and easier0 -

Some boys. You just never know with them. Some can't stop even when you don't want it and some don't when you do want it. :noway: :grumble:
My hubs didn't even talk to me for 2 weeks and we worked right next to each other. He said I intimidated him! :laugh:0 -

Hee. Well this particular boy is very shy and quiet but he IS talking to me so I figure that's a good start.0 -
