Challenge is to do 10,000 steps in a day. You can do this for any one day or try for the entire month. You can set a lower or higher goal if you wish. Our main goal is to keep activate every day!

It's easy to join - Just post here to begin!

You will need a step counter to keep track of your steps and then post your results daily here.

I do 10,000 step at work 3x week. How many calories does that burn? Does it count if I don't keep up my heart rate?

I count all of my steps from when I get up in the mronmg to when I go to bed at night. For me its about staying active. It motivates me to park a bit further away, return a carriage all the way back to the door or march in place while I am waiting for something in the microwave.

I think LamIam has posted how she converts steps to calories

Thanks.... I've had to force myself to take it easy since the surgery, because I'm itching to exercise... get back to Turbo Fire
4 days after my surgery, I had a meet up & walk (80 mnutes) in a park with some MFP pals which kind of tired me out.

Since then I've done Walk Away The Pounds 2 mile walk a couple of times...

I count all of my steps from when I get up in the mronmg to when I go to bed at night. For me its about staying active. It motivates me to park a bit further away, return a carriage all the way back to the door .

This is what I do also, my aim is for 10 k steps a day or a bit more to make 4 miles a day.

I'd like to join for February.

I found my old step counter was like that - smaller step were never counted :( When it broke, I bought an electronice one that does seem to capture those steps so my counts are higher in the past month.
