I was a creative writing major. So naturally I ended up in film. I just got out of a long-standing office intern for a film production company and now am working as a freelance casting assistant.

I used to work in film production, which is what I went to college for. I've worked on some really high profile movies and was paid decently, but it was too stressful for me and I had no life. I also managed to gain 30 pounds in 3 years.

Oh... haha... I know how that is... *eyeroll at the insanity that is film*

I'm a full-time nanny to two awesome kids, a 5 year old girl and a 21 month old boy. It's a blast. It has its stresses (the little one is hitting his terrible twos hardcore), but honestly it's the best job I've ever had. I get paid to play, seriously. During the summer, I take them to the zoo, splash pad, science museum, etc. Their parents pay my admission as well as the kids, so I get in essentially for free.

No degree, but 8 years of experience working with kids in various capacities - babysitter, preschool teacher, nanny, and so on.

I have my degree in sign language interpreting. i did that for a few years, and loved it. Then i had babies, and the schedule didn't work with daycare, so i quit. I worked for an architecture and engineering firm as an asst. to the VP for 5 years. That was the best job ever. i worked part time, and was able to pretty much set my schedule. Now, i stay home with my kids, and i make dolls and sell them through a non-profit, with part of the proceeds going to the np, and I also work as an editor, mostly editing novels. It's nice that i can do both of the jobs i currently have from home while raising my kids. I love it!!

I'm a cardiovascular care nurse. When your heart quits, I bring you back from the brink of death. It's a very awesome feeling :glasses:

But I also work at a nursing home/rehabilitation facility. I love my little grannies and papaws

I'm an ex-journalist now working in corporate communications for an IT/software development company. I've just completed my Bachelor of Arts, majoring in creative writing and am writing my late brother-in-law's biography. I also want to write lots of novels but that will take as much commitment and energy as getting my weight under control has so it's a secondary priority for me at the moment.

I want to be a writer too, but figure I have my hands pretty full with my art career.

I hope you find time to write for yourself! That is an amazing feeling, to do something you love and to do it for you! Live the dream, girl! heheh :)

i went to school and got an AS in graphic design and animation...

now i live in a super small town that the only thing related to my degree is card/sign shops... all of which are moms & pop shops that dont hire out. bc i am helping my mom right now and she wont move. the only thing in my area is the navy, fast food, and the cops/fire department. so i now work at mcdonalds on the navy base and will be starting a 2nd job at taco bell just to pay my student loans and rent...

    total waist of time.
