UNDER-WHERE? Girls only topic ;)

Thongs are the only way to go! First off I don't want any boyshort underwear lines or anything like that, and it ends up riding up anyways so why not just keep it minimal! When you're working out you don't even notice! I like the string thongs. The sides and "butt" part are like no wider than a normal width of a pinky and they're stretchy, and the other part is cotton. verryy comfy and sexy if i do say myself haha! I also love the lacies by Victorias just because they're light weight and pretty much all cotton besides the wide lace top.0

Calvin Klein men's tightie whities. I'm a size thirty.
I like that they have a hole in the front. Not only do I feel super conspicuous, but I just like to think that if I ever randomly mutate and sprout a penis, I'll be prepared.
Hahaha, is nothing sacred, keep your hands off my shorts, lol0 -

 You just made my day!0 -
bikini panties always stay put. with thongs you run the risk of a UTI. No good!
UTI from a thong?
I've always worn thongs and never heard of this.0 -
Commando :-) I like the running shorts with the built in undies type things lol so your goods arent out when you are stretching hahaha!!!!0
-
thongs...go to lululemon and you can get the kind that wick away sweat. that works for me0
-
Im sorry I know it says Girls only topic but for some reason I just laughed for a good 5 mins because of how simple the joke was.0
-
Only go commando - running shorts with the built in liner, or yoga pants/shorts. I prefer Lulu lemon because they cut the "gusset" so that you don't get camel toe.0
-
thongs or granny panties. or nothing.... but really, there's no way to avoid the ride when you got *kitten* LIKE THAT. lol. sorry, but hey, i gotta worry about such things.0
-
I'm not wearing any...0

I suggest a hipster type undie - they have the side coverage like the boy shorts but the ahem crotch area is more like a regular bikini. I wear these all the time! Target and Victoria Secret both have great options. Also make sure you are buying the correct size too big or too small can cause the bunching and wedgies!0

Target sells these seamless boy shorts (and other styles) that I LOVE! They are so comfortable sometimes I forget I am wearing them. I HAVE to wear underwear to work out, or it feels too weird. They aren't exactly cheap and they run large so I would recommend sizing down.

Found these this summer-LOVE them! The picture makes them look like they go high on your belly. They don't hit me that high, I wear them with my low waist Silver Jeans and they don't show. I work out in them, and they don't ride. I was just thinking the other day that I should buy some more in case they discontinue them. Good luck!
Sidenote: not that I look, oh yes, I guess I do-but I think it is gross when you can see the thong line and the cellulite on someone's butt. Just wish in my head that they wouldn't wear pants that are too tight. Would rather see underwear lines0 -
I could never go commando lol! At my age if I sneeze I pee!
OMG I almost laughed out loud but I too was afraid I would pee !!!!!0 -

This killed me! And secretly made me want to go out and buy myself some mens tightie whities! hahah.
I either wear my old too large underwear because I'm sure it will cover my whole butt and stay there or nothing. But I exercise at home. All of my new VS undies slide up my butt if I wear them while exercising.0 -
I get what you mean about the boy shorts being all bunchy and big.
Have you tried wearing standard briefs but spraying hairspray on your skin (not too close!) where they sit around your bum?
The hairspray sticks the underwear down, but not uncomfortably. I did this in dancing when I had leotards and found it worked for undies at the gym too.

I'm going to be perfectly honest and say that I don't wear any when I work out. They always ride up or fall down, so I just found it's easier to go without.0
-
I have to laugh at the comments ..WEAR A THong THEY DONT RIDE UP...IM sorry its becasue they cant go UP any further..HAHAHAHA TOO FUNNY !0
-
Thank you for this post! it was informative, because i am having the same dang problem, and it was a great laugh too0
-
i usually just do the cotton bikini underwear. i workout in my basement, so i'm not worried about panty lines or looks! i cannot do thong or commando while working out - just cant! thongs every day all day, but NOT while i'm working out!~0
-
have any of y'all ever done squats or lunges in bikini, boy shorts, grandma panties, anything other than a thong? Every time I wear anything other than a thong, I'm ALWAYS doing the pantie-up-the-*kitten*-grab dance. It's frustrating and really annoying.
Keep it simple and keep it light. And no you don't run the risk of getting a UTI from wearing a thong if you shower and change after you workout. Silly.0 -
Bahaha! Okay I totally feel inspired to go out and buy a bunch of sexy sport underwear now and try them all! :bigsmile:0
-
Thanks for the info and the laughs
So cannot go commando - I have this weird fear that as you rub the fabric, a fabric ball will end up where I don't want it.....0 -
I wear yoga pants a lot to work out and I've always had the hardest time with underwear! I've found the best to be Victoria's Secret lace "cheekies." Who wears lace underwear when they work out? I know...but seriously, it's comfortable and doesn't show underwear lines in tighter pants! Also, VS has cotton panties that has lace around the top and legs so no underwear lines...I like those too!0
-
i've been dying laughing reading this...
i have some that fall down, some that ride up, and thongs feel like they're gonna split me in half starting in my butt crack when i workout (yes, even my cotton ones). definitely gonna check out all these suggestions!!
i have a pair i bought to surprise my bf (now hubby) several years ago that are SO COMFY and i discovered were great for workouts-american apparel, I think the design is called "classic girl", it's a tighty-whitey design but the weenie hole doesn't go all the way through:grumble: :laugh:0 -
When I played volleyball I never wore any, most bun huggers are made so that they don't have to be worn with anything because they have an extra liner in them. Once I get back in better shape, I'll probably go back to wearing commando bun huggers for working out. Right now I work out in just cotton bikinis under my leggings.0

There is no way I could wear a thong when I work out. Don't get me wrong, love them to death, but not when I'm that active - especially since I'm primarily a runner.
I don't wear any. All my running bottoms are form fitting (non-compression), moisture-wicking technical fabrics. No need to wear anything extra. Just makes more laundry.0 -
I like string bikini cut or thongs.
Up until 3 years ago This is what I wore most days. Yes, they were uncomfortable, but necessary in situations. Now that I am older and much fatter I wear briefs. I am alone, no one sees them so I don't care.0 -
My sister convinced me to buy these hybrid looking underwear on sale at VS and they sound like what you're looking for. The front is full like a bikini but they have a wide (maybe 2-3 inch) lace (i.e. very lightweight) band and the butt is like a thong. Maybe it's just a fancy thong but it wears really nicely under yoga pants
Tangas, I think that's what they call them
Yes! I have thongs with a wide lace top --and I love them...but I heard thongs were bad. THEN, I went running on the treadmill with them and thought I'd have to have them surgically removed! Seriously! LOL
I wear these same thongs with the wide lace top exclusively..I really have never had a problem with wedgies during exercise...generally they stay where they start out Maybe it's a brand thing...I got all mine at Old Navy but now suddenly they don't carry them anymore0 -
Thong or nothing. I don't really like wearing them, they get all sweaty too its gross. I only wear black workout pants so no thong sweat lines show.0
