I invited my mother to accompany my family to the movie theater tonight. In turn, she invited us to eat at Taco Bell.

She knows I'm on weight loss journey! Why does she want to derail me by eating at Taco Bell tonight?!

I fear that she may be jealous of my weight loss journey. :cry:

    Maybe she was trying to treat you and doesn't understand how important it is to you to stay consistant with healthy eating. Did you offer an alternative? It really would be a challenge to find something good on the Taco Bell menu. Good luck.

    I believe people really don't think about the fact we are trying to loose weight. They just do what they always have done, or want to do. I don't think they are jealous, or trying to sabotage us in anyway.

    probably not intentional. everybody just eats that way. imagine how hard it was for those who quit smoking in 1965.

    eventually, you'll just jump on the website of wherever you're invited and discover they have fresca tacos that you can get two of without derailing yourself.

    although i admit that i do occasionally turn down food-based invitations.

    Eat before you go. Or bring in your own salad - I do this all the time with my family when they want to go somewhere dirty. They just know that's how I am now.
