I really want to like this stuff but I have tried it plain several times and just don't! I was wondering if you all have some creative ideas to mix it or some recipes that maybe could make me like it

Try Chobani Pineapple, it is AMAZING!0
-
put it in a friuty milk shake, protien shake.0
-
I like adding a few dried blueberries to plain greek yogurt.0
-
1 tsp honey and some walnuts - deeeeeeeeeeelicious! Or 1 tsp of your favourite jam or fruit compote - takes the sour edge off. Or mix it into some granola instead of milk.0

Frozen strawberries, in nooker to slightly thaw. Then puree in mini mixer, add to yogurt. I add one packet of Stevia to sweeten. I've used other frozen fruits, too
Mini mixer a whole banana add to yogurt along with 2T creamy PB (I use soy for allergy reasons) SO GOOD! Perfect pre workout fuel!
I also use greek yogurt instead of sour cream. Add to soups like broccoli and cheese, dollop on chili or taco salads, etc. Add to smoothies. Heck I've even baked with it and found no difference in taste lol0 -
I put in defrosted frozen fruit and 1/2 pack of Equal! Yummy!0

Thanks guys I will try these suggestions for sure...they would have to help! Also I just saw where someone on here mixed it with Hidden Valley Ranch dip mix and that sounded good too.0

I use it in fruit smoothies with Torani sugar free orange syrup. I also don't care for it by itself (even the flavored kinds with sugar). I find it too sour.0

When I first tried greek yogurt, I hated it. It was the yoplait brand and it was disgusting. Since then, I've tried chobani and I usually have one a day at least. My favorite flavors are black cherry, blueberry, strawberry banana, and pineapple. Yum!!!0

I too don't care for it plain. I add a small amount of agava nectar, fresh fruit, and either granola, almonds, or pecans to the top..It's almost sinful
I've also just added a packet of splenda and fruit..0 -
I hava also mixed it with ranch dip mix and made a dip for veggies.. Also, I've used it to make a chicken salad..0

HONEY! That's the ticket. Mix in liberally. I've got Foge 0% Greek Yogurt in the house right now and use it as a substitute for mayo with tuna fish.0

I agree on the Chobani flavored yogurt. It took me a little bit to get used to the consistency compared to regular yogurt. I like the Chobani brand because it has the fruit in it as well.0
-
I like it with a few chopped walnuts, pineapple, blueberries. I get the plain non fat because it has less sugar.
In hot weather I put the blueberries in frozen!~0 -
210 calorie heaven:
Take 1 cup plain greek nonfat yogurt, dice up one apple and mix in along with 2 packets of Splenda, and a bit of cinnamon and vanilla extract. Stick in freezer for half an hour. Yum.0 -
I never liked it when I first tried it either. I have found Chobani to be the best tasting. I buy the vanilla and add my own fresh berries to it and sometimes granola. I just found Chobani at my local walmart this weekend. Some leave a funny after taste, Chobani is less strong.0

Try using plain in place of sour cream in Mexican flavored dishes like tacos.0

I use it like sour cream to boost some of my vegetarian recipe protein stats. I've added it on top of a baked potato with salsa, I've put it into cheese sauces or quiches, I've even stirred a cup into spaghetti sauce before to make it creamier. I do like it plain too, and I like it mixed in fruit and in shakes. But don't feel like you have to treat it like normal yogurt. It's a bit more sour so get creative.0 -
Oikos by StonyField carries a pretty good line of Greek Yogurt flavours. They even have chocolate flavoured. My personal fave is the honey. Also, if you go to the website at the bottom right hand corner you'll see "Cooking with Oikos" and there's a bunch of great Greek Yogurt ideas.
Check it out here:http://www.stonyfield.com/products/oikos/4-packs/4oz-4-pack-fruit-bottom/honey0 -
I never buy the flavored kind to much sugar for me, I only buy the plain Fage or Yoplait Greek yogurt, I use splenda to sweeten it to my taste then I add microwave frozen blueberries or frozen rasperries for close to 1 minute then stir them around to make sort of a puree and let it cool a bit and add to the yogurt, for an extra treat I will add in a couple of tablespoons of the powder /in a box kind of cheesecake sugar free pudding to the yogurt before I add in the fruit, it sets up JUST like cheesecake..YUMM.
I also use plain greek yogurt and add some of the powdered Hidden Valley ranch dip and use that for my raw veggie dip....very good that way as well.0 -
the Black Swan Greek natural yogurt is creamier than the other brands of Greek Yogurt. Could try that!0
-
I tried the Chobani Vanilla mixed into my oatmeal this morning instead of milk and it was yummy. I normally mix peanut butter into my oatmeal to bump up the protein, but the Chobani gives me the same protein without all the calories. I'll be using it more often!0
-
Try the vanilla. I add 1 scoop of chocolate whey and 2 TBS of almond butter and stir well. SOOOOOOOO good!0
-
Try adding honey to it, it takes the sour taste away and you can sweeten it to taste. I usually add 1tsp of honey, 1/2 a banana, and some granola to plain Astro greek yogurt and it's delicious0
-
yeah, just don't eat it plain, it's gross like that. buy the flavored kind. I only like lemon chobani and vanilla dannon0

Best breakfast.....1 serving (about 3/4 cup) plain, FF Greek yogurt (make sure the check the label for the protein per serving, mine has 18 grams but some that say "Greek" in their name do not), 1 serving All Bran cereal (for lots of fibre), 2 TBSP's of ground flax seed and your choice of friut (I used to have thawed frozen berries but became allergic to them, now I'm stuck with raisins in the winter) I don't add anything to sweeten it because I find the fruit is enough. Now I can't eat any other yogurt, they all seem way too sweet to me!0

Dannon Greek Fat Free Fruit on the bottom..love the peach, blueberry, strawberry0
