YAY! We just moved into a new house. it has been a 2 month process of 'living in suitcases and road trips"- but we have MADE IT!
And I am starting a 10 week fitness program today!

AND we FINALLY get start SCHOOL! (I home school and it just hasn't been able to happen while we were 'in-between' houses)

I *love* it when the calendar month changes over....just give me this whole month stretched in front of me to set/meet goals!

So, I continue eating in a deficit, this month. Hoping for a 4 lb. weight loss once October comes to a close.

Today is my daughter's 10th birthday. We had her b-day party yesterday and I ate 2 cupcakes! Yummy! (I planned for them! Still ate at a deficit!)

Tonight my parents are driving up from OLDcity and staying one night. We are all headed out for a family dinner - so, again, I'm watching my calories closely and will make sure I have room for this restaurant food. I won't weigh over the next few days because I *know* the salt intake will inflate that scale number!

    Today, I lift. I start Phase 2 of NROL4Abs!

Well Beeps, did the NROL4W today - felt great. It was good. I love having a set routine when I get to the gym and not having to "wing it".

    Tomorrow is run day.

I know, sdereski, I *love* the pre-programmed work-outs. Just get to the gym and the rest, as they say, is EASY! Good for you - I know you're going to LOVE IT!

    Today I have a luncheon, so I won't get a work-out in. Fine - it's a rest day and my legs/glutes are pretty DOMS from yesterday's new-to-me routine!

Happie grandma-hood, Sandie - sounds exciting!

Welcome Sandie! Congrats on soon to be a grandma! I'm a grandma to a adorable 15 month old girl. It is the best feeling in the world!! You are definitely going to be one cool grandma.

Cardio day for me today. Ran with my girlfriend and then came home and did my insanity workout. The insanity was a bit tougher than it normally is. Was tuckered out....but it's done and i'm off to bed soon.

Hope you all had a great day.:flowerforyou:

Today I have to lift - compounded by the fact I'm still suffering DOMS from Monday's work-out....it's okay, I'll get it done!

    Hi all,

Did my NROL4W yesterday. Came home and after a bit tackeled Insanity Pure Cardio. That leaves me feeling like a wet noodle afterard, but always glad when its done.

Run day today. It's a beautiful fall day, so looking forward to it. Not sure I'll get my Insanity in. Hosting bridge at my house, so have to get things ready for that.

How are you cool kids doing?

Had a great run this morning. Ran 7 miles in just over an hour. I hope that I am able to get out there this weekend for a 10 plus mile run. I need to be ready for my half marathon on October 14th.

I also changed up my diet to see if it will help.

47 and chillin'. :glasses: I've lost almost 40 with another 40 or so to go. Loving life and trying hard to get fit in order to enjoy it more. 2 grown children (one bona fide lawyer living in D. C., and one bona fide Marine living at Camp Lejeune, having just returned from the Sandbox. No grandchildren, (thank goodness, I'm way to cool for that! ) but plenty of four legged canines and felines my kids adopted and left for me!!
Always looking to gain new friends, because along with new friends comes new ideas, recipes and support. Friend away!!!

I had lost this thread. Haven't been here in months. I'm still over 40  and turned 45 in August. Great to see all the active people here.

I've been training for the Wine & Dine Half Marathon at Disney World on Nov. 10. Slowly getting my miles up. Ran 9 miles for my long run last weekend. Aiming for 10 this weekend. Been mixing in some circuit training with that. I guess I've been in maintenance weight-wise.

OK, so I come to my cool kids club post, and here's big fat Mellow Mushroom advertisement on the side. :noway:

I'm hungry, I'm stressed, and that pizza is looking gooooood.

So, I'm drinking my water and eating my oatmeal and turning up the Streisand. :glasses:

I am officially here as of yesterday. :) I'm just starting this journey, but there is no way I am hitting my next birthday in the same shape I'm in now. Better to start late than never right?

I've learned the ads on the side are based on internet sites you have visited recently! So, start visiting "fitness" sites and pretty soon the side-bars will ALL be fitness related!! Much better than having "food" show up on your mfp!

Never, ever been to a Mellow Mushroom web site. Ever. But I sure am thinking about it now!!

maybe somebody has been to a "similar" site on your computer. In any event, I have shopped at "zenni optical" and their stuff regularly comes up on the ad-tabs. I have NOT shopped at "herbal magic", but I think I've reviewed articles of theirs....so, THEIR stuff comes up, too!

For awhile, it was ALWAYS this girl in a navy-blue cropped work-out top with these SUPER-RIPPED abs and I just wanted to punch her in the face (which was hidden in the ad....)

So, so proud of breaking my 40 pound mark. I had been at 39 pounds forevAH!! :noway:
My husband got sick, then my mom needed major knee surgery, then my husband got sick AGAIN.
I am a terrible stress eater, and boy, was I stressed. I totally went off the reservation for about 6 weeks. I didn't log in, I didn't care what I ate, I made half-hearted attempts at exercise. I was in a bad place, and gained back 5 pounds, putting me back at 33 pounds lost.
I can't really attribute my getting back on track to any one particular catalyst, but I'm sure glad I had the willpower to pull through!! Yay for 40 pounds lost!! :drinker:
   THAT'S EIGHT FIVE POUNDS BAGS OF SUGAR, PEOPLE!!!! :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou:

    Hi all,

hamandcheese - nice to see you back on the board. Good luck on your upcoming half marathon!

Beeps - your post made me laugh. Yeah, there are times when I want to smack someone as well.

Jules - congrats on making the 40lb weight loss goal! Watch it, or I may want to smack you too. J/k! I have been stuck for so long, it's really pissing me off. I know it's my fault, which just makes me that much more angry. Why do I keep sabotaging myself!?

So, feeling tired and like crap yesterday. Went to the gym, key was giving me a hard time trying to unlock the door to get in, so I said F@#k it and went shopping instead.

Am going to try and get my butt out the door today and get a run in, but when I looked outside a minute ago, snow was falling. :grumble: I can do it, I can do it, I can do it. Gonna make that my mantra today.

    have a great weekend everyone!:flowerforyou:

I'm down 23 with 30 or so to go! Walking is my exercise of choice. Use Runkeeper app to track and carry 2# hand weights. Heading out for my walk now! Need to make up for yesterday. 3 miles?
