Im in the same boat. It seems like a lot, but I decided that 5lb increments are best at this time. I get terribly anxious or impatient so.. Hopefully it will finally sink in and stick. I am looking for like minded buddies if anyone wants a partner in crime0

I dropped close to 90 lbs in a year so it's very possible. Unfortunately in the last year I've gained some of it back but I'm fully committed to getting rid of these last 40 lbs or so for good..I am hoping to do this by July when we are going to L.A. and Vegas.0

I'm on the wagon train to lose for the summer. I've been taking protein shakes , speical K cereal for breakfast, lean cusine meals adding greek yogurt for snacks and lots of water.0

I've lost 91lb (6.5 stone) Since last Feb. Anything is possible if you work hard - this included one day a week of eating anything and everything I want. I found it kick started my body again. With the exception of 3 weeks (weigh myself once a week) I lost every time.
I joined Slimming World (not sure if they have it where you live), but it's the easiest diet I've ever been on, doesn't even feel like you're dieting0 -
I haven't lost 70 quite yet, but close. My total goal is to lose 180 lbs. I've lost almost 60 (hope to reach that milestone tomorrow.) I've been dieting and exercising for almost 7 months.
You can send me a friend request if you want to but I'll be honest, I only want friends that log in daily. (I think this process only works if you are diligent in your logging.) And I also only want positive friends. I can't afford to be surrounded in negativity with such a big goal ahead of me. The whiners and people who wanna quit only bring me down.

So odd I should see this topic today as I just logged 70lbs lost this morning. I've lost 70lbs in 6.5 months, since June 18th 2012 when I joined MFP. Everyone loses at a different rate, but you can achieve anything if you set your mind to it and stay determined and focused.
I have another 30lbs to lose before I'm in the healthy range for my height, but I already feel like a different person. I no longer shop in plus size stores and have gone from a (UK) size 22-24 to a size 14-16. I try to eat as clean as possible and workout 5-6 days a week, always mixing it up. I still have chinese takeaways and treats, this is a lifestyle not a diet. Here are a few pics to show my progress:

Hi, I was 145.1 kg and am now 107.3 kg with my goal being 71 kg.
In English that's 320 lb now 236.5 lb goal 156.5 lb
I'm just over half way having lost 83.5 lb with 80lb to go.
As an ex yo-yo dieter, my most valuable piece of advice is to do this for the right reason. I really, really want this. I no longer think of what I used to look like, I am now planning my wardrobe for next summer knowing that I WILL be reasonably close to goal and my present clothes just won't cut it. I'm pretty sure I can get away with wearing baggy clothes during the Winter (June/July/August), but not this time next year with so much skin showing LOL
NEVER use IF when talking about ur goals. ALWAYS BE POSITIVE. And you know, this reduction has been so much easier than ever before. DO THIS FOR YOU!!!! GOOD LUCK!!!0 -
