Hi guys! I had a good lunch today, and I'm sooo happy that I don't have to workout tonight! That's what I love about early morning workouts. You're doing when no one else is up and nothing's going on, so you don't feel like you're missing out on anything. I have class tonight though and a lot of macroeconomics homework to do. Oh well!

I think I'm gonna make turkey burgers for dinner. Yum!

BL tonight. Who left last week? Can't even remember what happenend in the show!

They left us in suspense!!!! The teams weighed in as a group and if they lost 70 (??? I think ???) total pounds, no one had to go home! If they lost less... one person had to go home from each time. They got down to the LAST PERSON (Mike, I think) and then said... "To be continued..."

    Can't wait for tonight!! :drinker:
Thanks for reminding me that BL is on tonight. I would have forgotten.

I didn't get a chance to work out or walk on the tredmill. today. But my goal is to work out six days a week, so this'll be the day I don't, I guess. I ate almost all of my calories today.

 I did the eliptical for 40 minutes. THEN I got brave and went to a spin class. It was my first time ever! I made it all 60 minutes!! I'm sure I won't be able to walk tomorrow.

Well this has been my 1st and only week that I have not cheated food wise and did all my exercises. The scale better smile up at me tomorrow:bigsmile: with good numbers, or I will be crushed. It is TOM though.:grumble:

    Hi Everyone..

You probably don't remember me any more.. i know i have been MIA.. not voluntary.. I have not " given up" or walked out.. but that influenza A, with the lung infection and early meningitis, was no fun..
i never thought it would take me t hat l ong to recover from all of that, i still have some lung problems.. but i'm slowly going back to the old schedules..
Yesterday i have tried to at least workout on the bik.. i did it for 48 minutes, slowly, still it wasn't easy, I have to use an inhaler few times a day.. my lungs still hurt, i get easily out of breath etc. I even got dizzy on the bike.. but i did it today again.. for 99 minutes.. and i feel so much better allready..
I can't do much of a " hard core work out " but i do what i can, if it is " bike " bike shall it be..

I am unemployed as of last week.. trying to stay positive and not ged all to " worked up in to that depression " .. i put my trust in God, that everything will workout somehow.. i pray for the best ..
I will try to use this " extra " time.. for some more workouts..

I hope i can contribute a little to the Weigh in tomorrow.. sorry if i can't.. i tried my best at least not to gain while staying in bed for.. 5-6 weeks now..

I'm back.. and i will do my best to get back on track.. Hope everyone else is doing good..

Ok checking in. Here's what I just emailed to Rach

"I'm 165. I think that makes me down a pound. Even though I did hit 164 last Friday. I get so frustrated with myself. I stayed at 164 all weekend but on Tuesday for no reason I can think of I was back up to 167 yesterday. At least I am at 165 today. I probably shouldn't check the scale everyday but I have been doing that as long as I can remember."

So its a loss. Not as much as I would like but I'll take it.
Good luck everyone. Have a great day!:flowerforyou:

Rach, I just sent you my weight.
This morning I had oatmeal with grape jelly. It came to 125 cals, which is better than what I usually eat of a morning, buiscuit & gravy which is 185 cals. Does that seem like a good choice?

Just a suggestion, why not fresh or frozen fruit instead of jelly ? You can get more for less calories.. or same calories. I think a banana with the oatmeal would be more satisfing than the jelly..

    it's just'n idea

Welcome back!!! Sorry about your sickness, but we are all glad to hear that you're on the mend!! Good for you on trying to get yourself better. Be sure to take it slow. I'm sure that your body needs time to heal itself, especially if you're feeling any lightheadedness.
Sorry to hear about your unemployment. What a terrible economy we're having right now. Sounds like you have a good plan & support system (prayer). Good for you on keeping yourself positive! :flowerforyou:

Welcome back all you guys who haven't been here in a while!! We missed ya. Glad to have you back. :flowerforyou:

borac - I'm glad to see you're getting better! Take it easy! We're here for you!

I've been not so great the past couple weeks! Last week, I lost four pounds. Almost immediately after that... my bad weekend seemed to catch up with me and I went UP... five whole pounds. Since then, the scale has fluctuated. I stepped on the scale this morning (with my clothes on... I was in a hurry) and it says I'm still up five pounds... which is one pound down from yesterday. :indifferent: I felt sick all day yesterday so today I have no cravings for any of the bad weekend (and some weekdays :grumble:) foods I've been having. This weekend, I am determined to keep everything healthy.

I did the 30 Day Shred last night for the first time in a long time. I'm sore, but I feel SO good!! Tonight, I'm planning on doing all 4 miles of my Leslie Sansone video. I'm waiting on a new pilates video... hoping it'll come in today.

I'm going to weigh in after lunch again today... and if it goes down.. that's the weight I'll report for the day.

Well I'm mostly grumbles this morning, but I'm trying to let go of them. I discovered last night that my brand new alarm clock doesn't have a volume button for the alarm :noway: and it's soooo quiet! So after work I need to pack it up and take it back to walmart. So obviously I didn't get up at 5am this morning, which wasn't necessarily bad because I was up til after 11 doing homework. I needed what sleep I could get.

Other than that the scales back up. I just seem to keep going back and forth with this 3 pounds. One week I'm down, the next I'm back up. I think I'm holding water though, cuz overall my body just feels heavy. The sore muscles don't help either. I'm hoping to see a drop back down next week since I'm exercising now.

Plan for after work today is to exchange my alarm clock, workout, shower, dinner, maybe read for a bit and get to bed around 9. I need to start getting in proper sleep. It's just as key to weight loss as drinking water, ya know!

I got a new book....well 2 actually...that deal with self esteem. One's called The Self-Esteem Workbook, I think, and it has you kind of analyze where your confidence level is at and is then supposed to slowly teach you different things to improve it. It's a master each technique before moving to the next, kinda book. The other one is simply called Loving Yourself, which I'll read next. They both seem to be very interesting, and lord knows I could use the insight! If I find interesting quotes and things I'll share them, as well.

Anyway...that was a long one. Weights are starting to roll in and it looks you guys are doing well!

You can do it!!!! :drinker: Everything in moderation! If you go a little over, so what? Maybe make your goal to stay under your maintenance calories, instead of at your normal calorie goal. :drinker:

I have made it to the gym now 3 days in a row  It is about time I got back to it. I wanted to go running last night but hubby worked late so I didnt get a chance to and tonight Chase has baseball practice. And now the weather is going to turn cold again. It was so beautiful since Saturday. I am bloating right now because of TOM. I went through my calendar because it seemed like I just got off of it and my last one started on the 16th of last month so I am starting early. I will have to watch it I guess. I am hoping I start losing real soon. Nothing this week, its actually a little gain but Im not putting that up LOL. I am retaining water LOL.

I just thought of something... :embarassed:

I am on the depo provera shot. I'm due for another in the next couple days. Maybe that's making me retain some water or gain some weight?? Because... even though I've been bad... I haven't reverted to my old eating habits... and the five pound gain has really got me irritated.

    anybody else on depo????

I am going back on it tomorrow. I was off it for a while. My doctor told me outright , you will gain weight with this, or it makes it pretty hard to lose on it. Now I have twice the work to do. I am giving it the three months and then I am looking into other options. Of course insurance doesn't pay for any form of birth control. (which I feel is unfair)

I've found conflicting info about gaining weight while on it. I asked once here and had different replies, I researched and got different answers and I asked my doctor and he said he didn't believe it caused weight gain or made it hard to lose. I don't know what to believe. :ohwell: I've been on it about 6 years and love it and I've been losing weight at a pretty steady rate until now. I am thinking that maybe my hormones are doing something weird since it's time for me to get another shot. I have no idea.

Goodluck with the shot, though. Just keep eating healthy and exercising while you're on it. My guess is it has a different effect on different people... hopefully it'll be good to you because it's great not to have to worry each month!

Thanks for the info. I feel better about it. It is so discouraging when you are trying to lose weight and anything slows down the process. It's hard enough.

If you are done having kids there is another option. I had essure done and it was so easy. I cant have any more kids though. Which is fine because I have 3 and I am done now. I couldnt go on birth control because I have a FNH on my liver which is not that bad but they say the hormones could do further damage to it. I was going to have an IUD put in but my insurance wouldnt pay for it. So I got pregnant LOL. My doctor and I talked about Essure and it is a procedure done at the doctors office. About 6 weeks after having my daughter I went in and the only thing they gave me was a valium to relax me. They go through your vagina and put in spring like things that within 3 months tissue grows around and block the falopian tubes. 3 mths later I had an xray done and I was completely blocked. They say it just as effective as having your tubes tied and you have no surgery what so ever. There is just a little bit of uncomfortableness the first day from teh procedure but then fine. Sorry so long but just a thought. Also no hormones means no weight gain.
