Does anyone else hate being called vuluptuous?

I feel like it's just the nice way to say you're overweight.

I've always liked it actually. I think it implies you have good curves. It does depend on who it comes from and how you feel about it though. I can see how it could be interpreted in different ways!

Yeah I hate it too. I feel like people think it's a polite way of saying "wow your fat!".

Yes. I don't find it to be a compliment at all and I feel like it's a way of saying I have a fat *kitten*.

    Wow ...sensitive ...

Voluptuous is what many men seek in a woman...

My wife lost a lot of weight but she kept some really nice curves. You can be Voluptuous and not fat... Relax.

I had a guy once try to ask me out by saying he liked "zaftig" women. What a jerk! I hate being called voluptous also. People need to focus on our personalities, not our body shape.

voluptuous actually REALLY means pleasing to the senses/delightful, so, no, I don't hate it. I'd rather have "pleasing curves" than none at all, thank you.

    Rubenesque, on the other hand...

I don't mind it. I have curves, call them what you want, they're still curves

Rubinesque is worse to me! Have you ever seen any of Rubens' nudes?

I'd rather be voluptuous - brings to mind 40's pinup and Marilyn Monroe to me

It depends on who says it and why. I have large breasts and a large *kitten* naturally, so when I gained 25 pounds some extra weight went to my *kitten* and breasts and some to my legs, and tummy. I didn't liked the way I looked in a bikini, but when I was wearing a dress in the summer time my curves looked nice. My compliments have come from a variety of people, who I know meant no harm. I don't see it as a bad comment, but I know I would rather be called "fit" with a big bust and *kitten* still

I'd MUCH rather be called voluptuous than Big and Beautiful - that bothers me.

No, voluptuous just implies some killer curves.
