    I made the same goal LAST year, but I wasn't *fixated* on the scale number OR the time frame- just literally taking it one day at a time...focusing on changing my LIFESTYLE

    so that I won't put it BACK on later.....


    I am @ maintenance now, and I won't say that I'm any kind of role model for the picture perfect MFP friend
    but I'm cheering for you.

    This is a wonderful site, with wonderful tools to utilize ( like the extensive food diary, database and forums!!! )
    as well as gathering a great bunch of friends to help you along the way-
    and whom YOU can do the same.

    And one piece of advice I'd offer to you:

    LOG everything- even if you OVERindulge. Often you can UNdo *some* of the damage by getting in some exercise

    YOU decide If it makes it easier to be 100% honest
    by keeping your food diary PRIVATE
    or PUBLIC- everyone/just your MFP friends

    - and remember, there is a DELETE button if you find a person is dragging you down and DIScouraging you.
    Don't be afraid to use it too- sounds harsh, but I'm serious.
    Some people mean well, but they're as lethal as the excess body fat that was killing me too.
