Make up before the gym?

before I felt comfortable, yep I did that. Now, I don't comb my hair and I know I look scary!0

Well, it depends on your skin type and your comfort level. For me, I always wear mascara when I leave the house. That being said, I never ever wear anything on my face to the gym because I break out easily.0
-
LOL just eyebrow pencil and lip gloss. Only b/c I look like a young boy w/o filling in my eyebrows lol
Oh and I can never go w/o some type of stud earrings hehe0 -
I never wore makeup to the gym. Maybe it's because I'm married, but I just think it's silly. I went to the gym to exercise, not to be seen.0

I'm usually in a hurry when I head to the gym, but if I have time/remember I like to put on a little lipstick and eyeliner/mascara - & I almost always workout on the women's only side of the gym, so it's not for the cute guys... I just feel better/cuter when I do! lol. I never do foundation though (unless I already have it on from earlier in the day and don't think about washing it off) because with all that sweating, it will clog your pores.0

I have to admit I've thought about it! There are some really good looking guys at my gym, too. But I have always opted against it.
I will admit, though, that I've gone in looking like a hot mess and left looking just hot haha. I was going out after the gym the other day and when I left had on skinny jeans, high heels, a nice top, freshly done hair, and my make up done. It was nice to notice a few guys eyes trailing after me as my heels clacked their way out of the locker room and out the door.
But I'm not at the gym to catch a man. I'm there to get my workout on.
And I'd rather a guy not come up and flirt with me while I'm sweaty and gross haha.0 -
I go to the gym with my boyfriend generally and I'm definitely not there to pick up a man. But I generally wear make-up on a daily basis and I don't take it off when I go to the gym. However, if I don't wear any make-up that day then I'm completely comfortable going without it.0
-
I usually put on foundation and a little powder so I don't look totally weird.0
-
Heck no, you're just going to sweat it all off.0
-
I've never gone to the gym with make-up on unless I go straight from work, plus I'm married, so not looking for any extra attention. When I work out at the gym I will hit the sauna afterwards. It never has made sense to me, kinda like wearing make-up to go swimming. I'm going to get drenched so why bother? Nothing wrong with it, just not my thing.0
-
LOL! I take all my make up off except my mascara, only because mascara is a pain to remove. There is this woman at my gym who wears full makeup, red lipstick and all to work out. I just roll my eyes and giggle at her, how ridiculous.0
-
I don't put any make up on when I go to the gym. Granted I don't put any on daily.0
-
Nope....I'm a 5AM gym girl though..so somedays there's still some lingering mascara from the day before (I'm not the most diligent about removing makeup every night).
I do put on diamond earrings though, but only because I get dressed for work and they're small enough to lose somewhere along the way.
If it makes you feel better about yourself though...do what you've gotta do!0 -
Lol! I keep on my waterproof mascara and sometimes a lipgloss or something. I always take off my foundation because I sweat like a mofo and it gets all on the towel.0
-
I sweat it all off and turn horribly red anyway, so it doesn't matter for me. I don't bother anymore.
"If you look pretty when you're done, then you didn't do it right."0 -
I usually go to the gym after class so I am already wearing it but yeah I put on foundation before I go to the gym because it helps hide how red my face gets!0
-
I never wear make up to the gym. If I go later in the day, I actually make a point to wash the make up OFF before going. You sweat it all off anyway, not to mention it can clog up pores and give you acne. No thanks! I'm not trying to impress anyone there anyway.0
-
I went all through high school and into college with adult acne and it wasn't until I finished my undergrad that I found a makeup I wasn't allergic too. Now I refuse to leave the house without it, even when I was training for half marathons. Oddly, I would rationalize it with, well it has SPF in it, so I'm protecting my face while running.0
-
I don't intentionally put makeup on, but if I have it on and I am going to the gym between or after classes then I am going to have it on and I won't bother taking it off.0
-
I always went to the gym on my lunch break so already had makeup on from work. I don't sweat much anyway. Even in a sauna.0

I am about to go the gym for spin, in a dark spin studio, and was putting on make up and thinking about how absurd it was. Not full make up but foundation/powder and blush...I look better but I sweat a ton so it's kind of ridiculous. But I also think there's a lot of cute guys at the gym and I don't want to walk in looking like I just woke up....
Who does this? Admit it if you dare, or feel free to poke fun, I know it's ridiculous
LOL, I love it. If it makes you feel better, than do it!
I don't think I've ever put make up on JUST for the gym, but I def wear it in.0 -
I always do! When I look better, I feel better0
-
HAHA! I think this is great!! I don't put on makeup just to go to the gym but, I have found that when I go in the evenings when I already have make up on I feel much sexier and that I work a little harder!?!?0
-
I go to the gym at 6am then shower so makeup is pointless. But, even if I went at a normal hour I wouldn't put makeup for just that purpose. I am a beast in the gym and work/sweat my *kitten* off, so I'd end up looking foolish anyway. Besides I dont go there to meet men, I've already got one.0

Sadly, some of us have hoooorrible skin and can't go out without makeup I have rosacea and a bit of acne so I avoid the fresh faced look at all costs!0
-
I do not put on make-up before the gym. I sweat too much and find it a little ridiculous to do so. I have, though, gone to the gym with make-up on that was worn for something else and I just didn't get the chance to wash it off before hand.0

Okay so I am cursed with kind of horrible oily and bad skin. Oh well. I am a pro at making it seem flawless when not working out....That being said, I just discovered something called "Blemish Balm" that heals old acne blemishes and scars but covers existing zits. It's natural, non-acneogenic, and makes my skin feel and look great. I feel more confident and it gets my butt in the gym everyday. So, maybe it seems vain, but at least I found something to keep me from using my usual excuse of self esteem issues about my face.0
-
I actually DO do makeup... wear waterproof mascara on heavy workout days to avoid that good ol' racoon look! LOL! But for me, I find it just makes ME feel better. Nothing to do with anyone else seeing me at all..I just feel more confident and put together... I still have a fairly large chunk of flubber to go, so makeup and hair are the one thing I can trully control at this point... especially when all the tiny girls are zumba-ing away around me like gazelles! .... (I do zumba pretty well I've been told, but still feel like a nerd @ times...) Especially if I catch sight of myself in those horrid mirrors. LMAO! I actually find my skin breaks out WAY more when there is no makeup on my face... fairly oily skin... so my *Welcome Matte* powder by Hard Candy ( BEST light mattyfying powder i've EVER found... no one can usually tell you are wearing makeup trully helps my skin stay clearer...0
-
The whole point of all this is to feel good about yourself, so if wearing make up to the gym, as silly as it may seem to some, works for you, then do it. I can't say I've ever done it, but if you enjoy it, do it, as long as you're still working hard and you're happy, who cares?0
-
I always do my eyes, no matter where I go, I use waterproof smudge proof eyeliner and mascara, no eyeshadow or anything, that would be pointless, I sweat terribly! lol0
