Don't give up what you want most, for what you want right now.

*I'm not there yet, but I'm closer than I was yesterday.
*It's better to count calories than to count chins!
*You are worth what it takes to achieve your goal.
*Don't trade what you want at the moment for what you want the most.

"Somewhere someone busier than you is running."

"I run not for the exercise or the weight management, but for the spirit of it. I run because I can't NOT run."

Do Not Trade What You Want MOST for What You Want in the MOMENT.

I second that.... "Nothing tastes as good as being skinny feels"
I think of that when I'm about to indulge in something totally yummy and naughty. If I truly want it at that moment more than I want to fit in my jeans, then fine. But most of the time, the jeans win out.

Your mind will quit long before you body will... A quote one of my drill sergeants would say at Basic Training.

so true. i've worked with the elderly in an alzheimers and dementia unit, needless to say the thought of getting old bothered me a bit when i worked there.

    Mind over Matter!
    You're worth it!
Whatever the mind can conceive and believe... it will achieve!

Here's one from MFP I read a while ago...

"Whether you think you can or you can't, you're right" - Henry Ford

Not really a fitness-only related quote, but this one has always stuck with me.

I've always liked that Henry Ford quote too. Here's another from him that I like:

Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, this time more intelligently.

Ironically, he also said this (which I absolutely don't agree with!)

Exercise is bunk. If you are healthy, you don't need it: if you are sick you should not take it.

"Somewhere someone busier than you is running."

I saw this on pinterest and it really hit home. I have four young kids and I always put off exercise for something else until I read this.

People that say they try or say they will try are people that know better but expect to fail (already defeated)! People that do know better and made up their mind on achieving say they will get it done!

Today is as good as any day to do the right thing!

Your body is not a trash can.

Simple, true, and keeps me from eating everything in sight just because it's there (at least in theory it does).
