Welcome everyone to the 3500+ calories burned challenge.
Can you believe this weekly challenge has been going on for over a year now?
This is a weekly challenge to meet 3500+ calories burned, it is open to everyone. You set your own calorie goal for the week. Each day post the calories you burned, current total and how many you have to go. That's it, not too hard, other then push push pushing yourself to hit your goal. Everyone is such an inspiration on this challenge. Keep up the good work for the people returning and welcome to the newbies.
Here is the daily update format.

Also please do not promote other similar challenges in this one. I didn't put this challenge in the groups so it is easy to find for new people as this is not a closed challenge and open to everyone. It would be hard to find in the groups and a lot of newbies would miss it.

I'm in! First week and i have no idea how many calories to set as a goal..10 mins on my elliptical is only about 60 cal...so i'm going to shoot for 600. just getting started and i'm very out of shape. I joined this site months ago but didn't stick with it, I meed friends if anyone is interested. Everyone have a great Monday!

I'm in if I can keep finding this post lol. Today is my 13th day on the site and last week I burned 4,158 Calorie's from actual exercise (I don't count any calorie's possibly burned from cleaning or cooking etc, only actual exercise that I do because I still done the other things in daily life whilst putting weight on)
My goal for this week is 5,000

I believe this is week 6 for me. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this challenge as it motivated me to go the gym yesterday to reach my goal when I really wanted to sit and do nothing!!

Personally, I don't eat back ANY exercise calories..I don't see the point in it. Some people do and appear to get some benefit from it, which, if it works, more power to them. But for me and my way of thinking, if i'm working my butt off trying to lose weight, I'm not then going to eat back what I've just spent so long working off. I have enough trouble eating 1200 cals a day, if I'm eating healthy stuff, let alone the 1590 MFP suggests I should eat.

**MFP says I should burn 4850, so I guess I will bring my previous goal of 6000 down to 5000 to be more consistent with the goal that is already set for me.
