    I would think examples of embarrassing hobbies would be...collecting little jackets for toy poodles, when you don't even own a dog. Or maybe signing up for every "ville" game on Facebook just because you think they might be popular again some day. Need i say more?

    I spend a ridiculous amount of time reading about music, listening to music, trying to talk to others about music, making playlists....... Most people don't get my obsession. And I don't get why everyone isn't this way.

    Same. My iTunes library is a constant work in progress...I am constantly adding details about songs/albums/artists/ratings/etc.

    I read fluffy historical romance novels - literally HUNDREDS of them every year.

    I really only like the funny ones (Lynsay Sands is HILARIOUS, but Julia Quinn is my favorite), but they are total fluff and are absolutely ridiculous. Regency romances are the best.

    The funny thing is that I am actually not even remotely romantic in real life, but I just can't get enough of the fluffy romances. I have an awesome used book store near me and I literally have shelves and shelves of books in my closet (not on the bookshelves in the main part of the house because I don't want to embarrass my husband) full of fluffy historical romance novels - and those are just the ones that I loved enough to want to own.

    I'm sure it's not limited to those things. I've seen a couple people say music is their embarrassing hobby, and I don't understand that either! How can music, something so natural seem embarrassing? And video games!? Alright....I admit it! I'm a total geek! I try and hide it but I can't! I love mmorpgs (like Ultima Online, though I no longer play), regular RPGs (like Final Fantasy and Zelda), comic books, action figures, and geeky t-shirts. I can't live without Bones or The Big Bang Theory. I'm sorry I tried to hide it. :sad:

    I used to be obsessed with The Sims but now I can only access the internet through my phone and it lost its flare. I never miss an episode of Hoarders and live blog with the Possum Posse on Facebook every Monday night. I also make hairbows.

    I don't consider them embarrassing but I know some people probably find them a little unique or off beat.

    I'm really into true crime / criminology and read about and study crimes, murders and murderers a lot. I watch a lot of crime documentaries and can usually identify crimes by same details after having heard about them or studied them once no matter how long ago it was. It usually creeps people out.

    I'm also extremely into English history and especially medieval history. I actually read (for pleasure) and collect educational historical texts. Not to mention enjoying hours of thought and contemplation about the past. I can sit and think about anything historical or whatever I'm currently reading about / into and have a blast and hours can go by...so to say I'm a history nerd is a severe understatement.

    I also collect old books, some very very old and probably antique and some just old to me. Children's books too. I have a massive collection of Choose Your Own Adventure books for example. I have about 6 different collections going currently, I also collect vintage written erotica because it's so weird and becoming rare.
