    Honesty is the best policy

Jamie isnt a weirdo, hes not going to kill me or steal me or anything, just take me on the cutest date ever :)

And i will look after him, like he will look after me,
We have gotten to know each other, and it hasnt been long, but it feels so right :)

He makes me feel, amazing :) and so happy, and right now, thats all that really matters :)

Why does everyone automatically assume the guy could be an axe murderer? It's less common, but SHE could be the psychopath! :noway:

12 years ago I first spoke to my wife-to-be on a bulletin board forum. She was 4000 miles away with the Atlantic ocean and Homeland Security (Then called the INS) standing between us.

We just celebrated our tenth wedding anniversary with a second honeymoon in Jamaica.

So yeah, you can meet your partner online.

Be careful. I dated a guy I met on myspace for 2 years. He ended up choking and physically abusing me. And I began talking to a guy on this website a month or so ago and he turned out to be a jerk too. (He was talking to quite a few ladies AND me at the same time. Internet pimp?? Haha)

These stories are too cute! Congrats to all of you who found your S.O's in such fun ways! And good luck with your meeting! If nothing else- it sounds like you two have a great friendship that will continue on! Hopefully things work out for you two and we will hear some updates!

I met my husband online, playing backgammon on msn zone. We've been married almost 8 years! So the story goes because everyone always asks...moved to a new state, didn't know anyone so I would come home from work and play backgammon. I kept running into this guy from England (I am in Arizona). After a month of chatting while playing games, he bought a webcam so we could video chat, a month after that he flew to the states to meet me, three weeks after that I asked him to marry me when he comes out again (in two months time). And we did! After only knowing each other for 4 months and spending 6 days face to face with each other, we got married in Vegas! This April will be 8 years. We now have three beautiful kids.
I would say to trust your gut, I know I did. If something doesn't feel right, don't do it. But when you take big chances you may get big rewards!

    Good Luck!!

Be careful! Meet in a public place, make sure your friends and family know where you are going. Just be safe!

You never know. I'm aware of a few people who've met on mutual interest websites and formed long-term relationships. On the other hand, I've met 2 guys myself after talking to them online for months only to find out they weren't what they'd claimed. One in particular makes me laugh. He'd claimed to bde 5'8" tall. Well, I'm 5'4", but had to lean over to hug him when I got out of my car. He'd also neglected to inform me that he had some serious health problems and that he really wanted me to move across the state and become his live-in nurse, cook, housecleaner and personal ATM. The other guy was nice enough but I got suspicious, ran a background check, and found he'd lied: HE WAS MARRIED AND STILL WITH HIS WIFE, lol.

I think it might not be a bad place to meet like minded people with similar backgrounds. Though safety is always the most important thing though lots of people meet on the internet these days.

I'm sure I could meet my partner here, I've met a few people online. :) Just be cautious and go slow. I know a lot of people who met online and are happily married.

Oh phew, thanks for not killing her - total internet weirdo guy!

    ;)

(that was sarcasm... you see because everyone assumes if you meet online you are dating a rapist or a murderer)
