    Quick Trip! He came up to me and offered to pump my gas. Just when I thought he was an incredible gentleman and was in the midst of telling him, "thank you for pumping," he made lewd gestures as he said, "thanks for letting me pump." It wasn't the ideal beginning but 5 years later it makes a great story.

    He was riding a ten speed in circles, on the ramp at work, getting closer and closer to the window I sit by and he was singing "Welcome To The Jungle" by GNR!
    I was hooked at once to his sense of humor!

    13 years later..... we are still together!

    we lived in the same apartment complex (27 years ago, he watched me walk to the laundry room and decided to come over and try to meet me... we were married 6 months later)

    My MOTHER *fooled* me into introducing me to him- I was NOT the *least* bit interested in her matchmaking skills either ( she did a LOUSY job @ finding anyone for herself so I certainly didn't want her picking out a mate for ME-haha)

    in fact, he was her *favorite* bartender- yeah, THAT *really* IMPRESSED me ya know.....

    She *conned* me into going out to dinner with her on Mother's Day- which, that year coincided with my 19th birthday.
    I met him that night- he was drunk- with his fiancee- and was flirting with me.
    None of these things endeared me to him AT ALL...in fact, I was thoroughly convinced he was a total jerk.

    However, it *just so happened* that I ended up getting a job there a month later- working in the kitchen during college-
    and we spent a LOT of time together, started dating, and fell in love and ran off and got married.
    That was 31 yrs ago.........and it's STILL amusing to me how it all began.

    Moral of the story: Ignore FIRST IMPRESSIONS. We're all jerks on any given day. It might have been an *off day* for them.

    High School. Had some ups and downs, even broke up for 4 years, but here we are almost 6 years married and 7 years back together. Weird how life works out sometimes! :heart: I love him more and more each day!

    ~ It was a dark stormy night ... as I approached the corner of 5th Street there was this object moving slowly towards me ... I could barely make out what it was in all the rain ... as it got closer I was able to make out what appears to be a man with an umbrella ... How could I not run towards a man with an umbrella in a dark alley ????

    Ok ok ... That wasn't how I met my Valentine ... but it sounded pretty damn intriguing, eh ? :wink:
