How the heck is this possible?!?! I gained 3.5 lbs but I've dropped a pants size?!?!?
 :explode:0 -
If you're working out maybe you're losing inches and gaining muscle which weighs more than fat.0
-
your body composition is changing. You have gained muscle and lost fat. Muscle does weigh more than fat. A good way to track this is to take your measurements too. If you notice a difference in your measurements you are losing inches, which is a GOOD thing! You will have a lean toned body! Go girl.0

Hey girls I lost 2 pounds this week. I'm at 195 today. I was so happy. I did cheat and look at the scale earlier this week and I was discouraged, but I was extremely happy today.0

Welcome to the newcomers! :drinker:0

I am hoping that Saturday's restaurant food just contained a lot of sodium and that I am retaining water, so I have been chugging water today and plan to recheck my weight tomorrow. I really don't know what the deal is, but something has got to give.
I'm betting that's it, and in the next few days you'll see yourself drop that weight and then some. Let us know how it goes, don't get discouraged and keep at it! Your work will pay off :flowerforyou:
This morning I was at 271...so it's coming down but not anywhere near where it needs to be...I don't tend to be a chronic scale jumper, but this week I am checking every morning...might help me to understand my body's fluctuations and help me to understand how certain foods affect my body as far as water retention, etc.0 -
yikes! i know im about a week too late but i would really love to join this. ive put on 20lbs since i graduated in december.. 4months!!!.. so this summer would be a great time to lose it again.. its not that im unhappy with my current weight but that was ALOT to put on in such a short time.. plus july 13th is my birthday so if thats really the day that this would be over then that would be one hell of a birthday gift to myself!!!!!
cw: 132
gw: not really an issue but want to be healthy again... and toned!!!!0 -

Hi Ladies
I'm a little confuse if anyone can help me that wold be great. When the trainer check my weight at the gym a few weeks ago I was 236. When I went to the doctor yesterday I was 240. I'm not sure what scale is accurate. My doctor said the one at the gym could be. So I'm not sure which one to go by. Of course I want to go by the gym scale, but I want to be sure. Advice anyone?

I would go with the scale that you will be using weekly to weigh-in.. If it's the gym then stick with that one. Welcome aboard! :flowerforyou:0 -
Way to go everyone on the weight loss!!
Kishia--I agree with Brandiann--go with whatever scale you would more commonly use--that way you can accurately track. All scales are different in my opinion, so I always use my home scale to just the most accurate change. Forget about the actual numbers and look more at the amount lost.0 -
Yeah I use my home scale everyday. Even if the actual weight is a little off it doesn't really matter because if it decreases from the starting number you're still losing!0

Thanks everyone0

Hi everyone,

Hi Brandiann,
I'm doing great!!! Sticking with my slim fast plan. Walking every day. I need to pick up on drinking my water. That's something I'm not totally faithful to doing yet. I'm hanging in there though0 -
It's going! I made brownies last night and was all excited about being able to have a serving for only 71 calories. Then I look at the number of servings for a 9x13 pan and it was 48. LOL Talk about small squares! Oh well, at least my kids can enjoy them.
I've been doing pretty well exercise wise and food wise. I'm pretty sure my weight loss is going to start slowing down in the next couple of weeks, if not sooner, but that's okay. I can see a difference in the mirror and that's really exciting.0 -

Have you tried "No Pudge Brownie Mix" they usually sell it at Trader Joe's. You can check out their website also... http://www.nopudge.com.... How many calories in an actual no fat brownie, or how big of a brownie is 120 calories? One 2-inch square brownie=120 calories AND NO FAT!!! My son loves them and actually he's been asking me to make them so I will this weekend.
Glad to hear your doing well! :flowerforyou: Why did you say your weight loss is probably going to start slowing down for??0 -
Cool, I'll check those out!
I haven't had a week so far in the past 7 weeks that I haven't lost over a pound so I guess I figure it's got to slow down sooner or later. Maybe mentally preparing myself so when it does happen I won't get too frustrated? I started slowing down my last time when I hit 18 pounds lost and I'm almost there now. I'm not going to stop, definitely, I just want to be realistic. Working towards 30 pounds lost by mid-July is giving me a big push and motivation to stick to my plan.0 -

Look into interval training... it is what I do and it's a great workout... You can Google it and read about the benefits, etc. It's great for fat burning which is what we are trying to do..... I'm happy to see you are not losing motivation, keep positive! :drinker:0 -

Yes I am still on track! I didnt work out yesterday because I think I overdid it while doing the 30 day shred. My legs were so sore yesterday I couldnt move. But I made sure to stay within my calories. I feel and look better which is great! I am so excited this is the longest I have commited to loosing weight without giving up.
Its amazing how eager I am sometimes to work out...I never knew I had it in me!
I also do the intervals especially when I am on the treadmill it makes me sweat alot.0 -
