I didn't eat the chocolate that'd been staring me in the face all day!0

I was going to pig out on sweets because it's Fat Tuesday, but I changed my mind. Going to stay on track today.
I JUST heard some customer at the bank say "Fat Tuesday" as I read it on your post. LOL I've never heard that term before and just now I heard it AND read it at the same time. Weird. : )
Fat Tuesday. Mardi Gras, Shrove Tuesday, Pancake Day - the day you get rid of all the rich food in your house before starting Lent.
Like many festivals, for many people it has lost it's religious meanings and is now just use it as an excuse to pig out. I had pancakes - Yum0 -

all the great life changing things of today
* first i didn't write "all the great dieting things of today" but i wrote "all the great life changing things of today" - it is so important to realize that what we are doing now, this particular phase is not for a week, nor for a month or two. it is our change for ever, to have better, nicer, healthier, great looking life. we need to understand that. i need to understand that.
i am making small changes every week. started with whole grain bread. skipped white bread. than started to drink more and more and more (now i drink min 10 glasses a day). currently i am working on sweets and eating after 7pm. just step by step. don't want to scare my body. don't want to scare myself.
god bless those who were able to change everything with one cut.
god bless those who are working on their changes day by day
today's victory:
a lot of water
no sweets
30 min of c25k
walked for 75min
made a wise decision to start dinner with salad and only then eat the rest
ate only half of pizza
i had very positive thinking today
it was lovely day
thank you!

We've forgot about this for a while :-(
My victory of today is as simple as possible.
I am reading your success stories and reminding myself
how important it is to stay in touch with you all.
I am looking for the grace to be wise and to be able to do it!0 -
i don't think i did something wise today

Oooohh, can I get in on this?
Today, for the 4th day in a row, I did not have any candy from the dishes on all the assistants' desks.
I do believe in treating myself occasionally, but once I start eating candy at work, I can't stop.
Thanks for this thread, it's a great idea!0 -
I think this is a great thread too!
today my success is that I got through a "bad" day yesterday (made some poor choices) without berating myself, feeling guilty, feeling like a failure, or using the bad day as an excuse to give up and keep on eating. Kinda backwards but whatever.
My second success is that I am chugging through the day feeling great and on track like yesterday never even happened!0 -
I've eaten my sandwiches on whole wheat the last 2 days and it didn't kill me lol. I've always been a wonder bread baby so this is a big deal for me!0
-
Let's keep this going!! I wanna join!
so far today (since the day isn't over for me yet)
-only had 1 cup of coffee instead of 3-4
-had a cup of green tea instead of one of those usual coffees
-I got full before I finished my lunch and didn't keep on eating! this is huge for me!
I'll have more after I go to the gym later0 -
today I ate only half of my dinner :-)0
-
Great things of today?
Hm, I sucked at work so badly! Made such a mistake that might cost me quite a lot of money :-(
Life style?
I ate boiled egg instead of two fried ones.
I took fruit for desert after dinner.
I wish you all to be more successful!! :-)))))0 -
one extra, instead of checking all your success stories, i am going to jog!
bye :-)0 -
This weekend I didn't eat a whole container of Ben and jerrys ice cream in one sitting and I'm still sticking with p90x on week 3!!!0
-
hello,
today i had very light and healthy dinner.
no sweets.
need to work on water consumption0 -
Great Thread!
Today I worked out for 1.5 hrs.
had a lettuce wrap instead of a sandwich
and drank only water!
These little successes are so much fun to read! keep em' coming!0 -
I have logged EVERYTHING I eat... no matter what. And my diary is set to public. No cheating on this. I refuse to be a closet eater anymore. SO proud of myself for this.
Very very impressive. Most people do not do this, and I think it is awesome!0 -
That's always huge for me, too. I have to learn to forgive myself and know that every day will not be perfect. I will slip up and enjoy a piece of cake occasionally and, as long as I'm making good choices the majority of the time, I need to be ok with that. If I don't, I'll start feeling guilty and backsliding... Keep up the good work!0

Bump! I really love this positive thinking. Thank you so much for starting it!
Today was a struggle-it was a very hot day with no air condition in the apt or the car. So, I stopped and got a Sonic ice cream.
However, instead of getting the biggest one, I got the smallest they offer (10 oz and it was 530 calories! Yikes!)
My success: I logged it. I decided a couple of weeks ago to log EVERYTHING I eat. Good or bad. So that's what I did.
I'm proud of myself for not hiding it. And I'm proud of myself for getting the smaller serving.
Also today: I measured myself. Weight was the same tonight as it was this morning. Thats a good sign. (Usually its higher by a few pounds due to food consumption and water weight.) AND, I lost 3 inches in the last week and a half (ish).
So excited for tomorrow.0 -
Today I:
walked a mile an a half
spent an hour in my yard pulling weeds in my garden and mowing the grass
had a light dinner
drank a lot of water
I did have a few tootsie pops (2), but I'm trying to quit smoking so I refuse to feel guilty about them.
Yesterday my friend came over to visit and commented that she's noticed I've lost a lot of weight! This was a big deal for me because I still don't see it when I look in the mirror or the progress pictures I've taken, but apparently it is noticeable to others.0 -
Hey everyone!
Today I am so happy! I managed my day so nicely.
I had light lunch with my personal trainer where we have arranged all about my journey with will be upgraded as of July 20.
I had lean hamburger.
I had light dinner.
There are things to improve, but tomorrow is also a day and for now I am happy and thankful!
Be strong and keep going!
Love,

Today I went to the gym alone! (my finace usually gets me to come along with him) It was nice to feel like it was 100% my success!0
-
We went out for dinner. I had salad. No bread.
No biting from kids' pizza.
I had no cookies today. Actually, when i was too hungry,
I took a half of tuna sandwich instead of eating
HUNDREDS of small not healthy things.
I decided to stop with any kind of coffee and milk combination.
My day was a small succsess on my journey.
Thank you Lord!0 -
Today, I ate more frequently (to keep the metabolism going) but still stayed in my calories!
Also, I ran stadium stairs with the hubby-for 45 minutes. Then did push-ups even though my arms are still burning from yesterday's weight training.
I feel full and so accomplished.
Thank you for giving me a place to share my positive thinking! I'm still loving this wonderful idea!0 -
 bump0
