But i too must admit I hate cabbage  Although I have never had a cabbage roll so I shouldnt knock it until i try it

Lucky- some of us are posting everyday to hold ourselves more accountable. It seems that if we are advertising what we eat it makes us think twice about it :drinker:

Speaking of- I have not been getting enough veggies :grumble: I really really need to work on that. Resa yell at me this week if I dont get at least 3 veggies a day!

  • Resa I would love to hear your mom voice, he he he, I bet it makes everyone run for the hills

Ari- I sent some warm weather east, your direction, today it was beautiful here as well.

I scolded myself and baked some eggplant to add in some veggies to my dinner. Oh and I had two spoonfulls of light mint chocolate chip ice cream. Bad I kno I kno, But I was studying with a friend and she brought over chocolate cake! :noway: So instead of eating the cake I limited myself to the 2 spoonfulls, and surprisingly felt satisfied. Just goes to show that you can have a treat as long as you have it in the right portions :drinker:

    Good night everyone

Ari-I am so glad that you had such a good walk!!! And enjoy that tea! I do the same thing to get all my water in... I use Truvia sweetener and make lots of different kinds, like green tea, chai tea, etc...

Meg-Wow, I don't think that I could have had the same amount of control as you!!! I'm glad you were able to treat yourself to something, and not eat the whole thing like I probably would have!!!

So dinner tonight ended up being a big salad with garlic caesar dressing, some feta cheese, and some olives... I also had 2 cabbage rolls, which came out to 195 calories... I need to figure out how many calories were in the salad, and also enter in calories after I work out tonight. If it's not too late, I'll post afterwards, otherwise I'll see you all tomorrow!!!
  • So I have a question for the mommies.....
My munchkin has been trying to cut 2 more teeth this past week and she's got these horrible sores around her mouth. They kinda look like cold sores. They popped out a week ago Thursday and at first I thought they might be fever blisters, due to the fever she had and drooling so much etc. I didn't think much about it, cuz everything I'd read said that sometimes kids will get a rash on their face from drool etc. So I asked around family to see if it was ok and no one seemed to worry, and neither did I. Till Thursday when she popped out another one, and I noticed that she has a sore inside her mouth too. So the old ones aren't going away, and now she has a new one. I was going to take her in on Friday but we got a snow storm. Since she wasn't running a fever and no new symptoms, I thought it best to wait until roads were better and we wouldn't die on the way in. So I'm thinking of taking her in today. Any thoughts on what this could be?

Thanks for all the welcome-backs!! It feels good to be checking this site out every day again and reading what you all are up to!

Yesterday I tried on a garbage bag full of clothes my boss gave me at work the other day that no longer fit her or she doesn't wear anymore. A few of them fit perfectly which is great for spring. Most of them fit but look tight. Disappointing for the moment but I just see it as my challenge and motivator - to have them fit properly and look great... maybe even one day for them to be too big on me! I'll keep you posted!

Happy Sunday to all! I did a bunch of housework yesterday - vigorous spring cleaning! That was pretty much my exercise yesterday. Today I will jump on the eliptical and/or take the dog for a good walk. Although it's supposed to pour here I think so we'll see about that one!

    ciao bellas!:glasses:

Food so far today, coffee with no sugar creamer, left over eggplant slices, left over chicken breast.

Not sure about the rest of the day as the bf is coming over tonight and Im almost sure he will want pizze :grumble:

Hello girls! Okay, so today's meals have been:

    Breakfast-
bagel w/ 1 tbs light cream cheese
    banana

    Snack-
    string cheese

    lunch-
    eating right turkey meal
    apple
    string cheese

I still have over 700 calories, and I also haven't exercised yet today... So plenty of calories left over for a very yummy dinner! Maybe some more cabbage rolls before my husband gets home, so I don' t have to eat it in the garage!

I actually got a recipe on this website for cabbage rolls... Two rolls count as one serving, and only has 195 calories!!! I'll see if I can find it again on here(I copied it), and I'll post the thread if I do!

I found it!!! I use brown rice when I make mine, though... Hope you like it!

makes 12 rolls, serving is based on two rolls

    1/2 cup uncooked white rice
    12 leaves cabbage
    1 egg, beaten
    1/4 cup milk
    1/4 cup minced onion
    1 pound extra-lean ground beef
    1 1/4 teaspoons salt
1 1/4 teaspoons ground black pepper
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
    1 tablespoon brown sugar
    1 tablespoon lemon juice
    1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

1 In a saucepan bring salted water to a boil. Add rice, reduce heat, cover and simmer for 20 minutes.

2 Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Boil cabbage leaves 2 minutes; drain.

3 In large bowl, combine 1 cup cooked rice, egg, milk, onion, ground beef, salt and pepper; stir well to combine. Place about 1/4 cup of meat mixture in center of each cabbage leaf, and roll up, tucking in ends. Place rolls in slow cooker.

4 In small bowl, combine tomato sauce, brown sugar, lemon juice and Worcestershire. Pour over cabbage rolls. Cover and cook on low 8 to 9 hours.

I added a can of diced tomatoes to the sauce. Plus garlic for the ground beef stuffing! It really was great!

195 calories and 4 grams of fat.

It sounds to me like from her teething. If it doesn't get any better or if any more come though I would take her to the doctor. My lo is teething also. She was waking up last week just screaming. She has 4 and the other have not popped through yet. I hope they do soon I am tired of a cranky baby. How old is your lo again? Elizabeth is 10 1/2 months.

Good morning ladies! I hope everyone had a great weekend. Sorry I was in MIA for the past few days but several projects around the house (and farm) kept me away from the computer. I managed to get in 1 run this weekend but my eating was horrible - Mexican for supper on Saturday, and a buffett lunch on Sunday. But I am back on track this morning, drinking my water, and tracking my food.
  • Good Monday Morning!!!
So I ended up taking the munchkin in yesterday, and it's some sort of infection type thing. They didn't know for sure, so I have some antibiotic crap to try to keep on her:noway: . Yeah right.
Christine, my lo is 11 months. She'll be a year the beginning of May. Time does fly as they say. She hasn't been too bad through the teething thing. She's got 2 bottom, just popped the next 2 bottoms, and now it looks like she's going for the top 2. yeah:noway: My next kid will probably be Hell on earth since she's been real easy.
I'm glad it's the week again, the weekend is my worst time, cuz there's not as much going on. Then I just end up chillin with the hubby, and not nearly active enough and usually end up eating worse.

Today is a new day.....right? I'm so frustrated cuz I've lost my motivation. Got outta the routine due to calving, and now that it's starting to get back to normal, I've lost my mojo man.:grumble: I just keep waiting for tomorrow to get here, so I can feel like it's a new start to a new week. ahhhh

Good morning, all! Well, good morning for me-it's 8:40 here... Sooooo, if I don't lose any weight for tomorrow's weigh in, I have absolutely no clue what I'd be doing wrong, because my day is mapped out like this...

    1. Raquetteball with my husband-someone is going to get hurt, hopefully it's not ME!
    2. Volleyball for 2 hours later on tonight
    3. Day 1 of P90X with my husband as my partner, starting after volleyball!

I just hope my shoulder can handle it! I'm still fighting this dumb head cold/allergies right now, and it has moved from my head to my chest-I feel like I'm starting to finally cough everything out. Hopefully I won't lose a lung in the process, but it feels good to be getting rid of it!

Breakfast was a bagel and a banana... Post more later.:drinker:

    Hello!

I was super busy this weekend with wedding related duties (3 friends in 2 months are getting married!) so I didn't have a moment to log on.

Diet wise, I did pretty terrible (lots of snacks and alcohol). I only found time for the gym on Saturday. Today, I'm being incredibly dilligent. So far, I've only had fruits, water and tea. It's already 12:35pm and I've barely consumed 300 calories of all fruits. My body is feeling better from all the torture I put it through this weekend.

For lunch, I have a veggie wrap with hummus, baby spinach, tomato, cuke and a few slices of avocado. I'm psyched for lunch!

How's everyone doing with their goals?

    Snack - Light string cheese
Lunch - 5. cup of low-fat cottage cheese and a bananna
Snack - Another box of rasins

I am thinking of making a roasted veggie panini for supper- tomatoes, spinach, a little low fat mozzarella --- yummy!

Okay, one hour of raquetteball done, and I didn't die!!! I did manage to hit my husband once, or twice, well-who's counting?! Anyway, so for lunch I'm having an Eating Right meal and an apple.

Calories burned from raquetteball? 864!!!! Whooo-hooo!!! I've already burned waaaay more than I've eaten, and I still have volleyball tonight and P90X. I'm going to have something yummy for dinner, that's for sure!
  • OK so holy crap I fit into these pants but I have some sad news...these pants are no longer in style. I wore them anyway but I felt silly. I just wanted to join the club and be able to say I can't believe I fit into them but I may have to buy new ones! (in a smaller size)
  • Hello all, Just wanted to stop by and say I will be MIA til thursday  . I have to study my heart out for this exam i have on wednesday, it is going to be brutal.

Okay, so I went to play volleyball tonight, and guess what happened? There were only 3 other people there!!! Today was the very first "nice" day here in Alaska... So no one showed up, because they wanted to spend some time in the sunshine! I was so bummed out. We waited for 30 minutes to see if anyone else would come... Oh well.

For dinner tonight we had grilled chicken and salad. I also had a banana and a piece of string cheese for a snack logged in. I'll post how many calories I have left over after doing P90X with my husband tonight.

Hope everyone else had a great day!

I ended up freezing left overs for the next time my husband is out of town! It's the only way I can have them-when he's out of the house! Great job with the 11 pounds-you must be floating on air!:drinker:
