How often do you weigh yourself?

I weigh myself everyday, but only count my weight loss once a week on Friday's.0

Every morning, and then every evening after dinner. For some reason, my evening weight helps me predict whether I'll see a loss the next morning. It's an addiction, LOL, but it does keep me accountable!0

Once every two weeks. It stresses me out too much to do it everyday because of the fluctuations and I never remember to do it every week, so every two weeks. Plus, doing it less often, I see bigger results which motivates me more0

Every morning au natural before breakfast. I have an official weigh-in day which is Saturdays. So nothing counts before Saturday they are just little teasers and previews.0

I have found I am most successful when I weigh everyday in the morning. It keeps me accountable. I always tell myself if I have a day I haven't done as well as I like, that just as long as the scale doesn't go up, it is okay. If I don't weight myself everyday, I find if I have a day I have done well, it might end being two or three and then very quickly I am up 3 pounds on the scale.
I could not agree more! This is exactly why I weigh daily as well....unless I pigged out the night before. Then I hide from my scale until I feel the food has been digested0 -
I weigh on Tuesday's, but I've been sneaking peaks and my BF is threatening to hide it... : O0

Yesterday I banned my scale for a month. I actually hid it so I won't be tempt to jump on it. I was weigh 4 or 5 times a day. Which wasn't why I decided to ban it. I have a mental block about getting past the half way point on my journey. Everytime I saw the scale get to 54 pounds lost I would fall off and eat bad and gain a bunch of weight. So I am hoping by not seeing the number I can push past the mid way point and have my very own biggest loser moments.0

My 'official' weigh-ins are a week apart, but I get on the scale at least once a day. I find it interesting how much my weight can vary from day to day, before and after meals, and especially overnight-often I can lose a couple pounds from when I go to bed to when I wake up.0

I do a weekly check-in on Friday morning. Sometimes followed up with a Saturday double-check if I think Friday's was off.
Went a long time without weighing at all until I realized I had lost so much weight there was no telling what my calorie goal really should be. Didn't want to make it about an arbitrary number. Put the scale away for a month, make sure you hit your calorie goal most of the time, and enjoy when all your clothes fit different. Worth it.0 -
TO hmardis -- Tp add your ticker to your post...
You have to go to the Tools Tab, click on Tickers, on the bottom left it'll have the code for you to copy into message boards (on the right side is for web sites and blogs) copy the code in the box and paste it at the bottom of your post. (If you use it alot it makes sense to copy it into a text file (notepad) or word document, and save it on your desktop for easy access). Oh, if you are using an i-pad to do this, I found it will not copy the ticker code, so you'll have to use a PC. Hope this helps.

FAAAAAR too often- three times a day at least! I only log it once a week though, but feel I need to stay in controle by checking the scales three times- in morning, when daughter goes to bed and then when I go to bed- to prepare me for the morning ahead.
Get really nervous in the days before weighing day... am a bit opsessed at moment. Hope it will pass when I reach my target weight!0 -
DITTO
Once a day. I like to see the trends and how what I eat affects my body weight -- I find it interesting.
Me too - it's really interesting to see how much weight can fluctuate from day to day. I don't get upset it it's a few pounds higher one day and I don't celebrate if it's a few pounds lower. I only record once a week.0 -
I like to weigh myself every morning, buck naked (except for my glasses, without which I would not be able to read the weight...hmmm maybe somedays I'll begin to take them off, first), after I pee first. It's like Christmas! Always a surprise, some good, some bad, but I've become a pretty good judge of which direction I'm headed before I take that step. I like the instant feedback of the previous day's activities. But that's just me.

About once or twice a week. When I blow it off for awhile, it seems like the weight starts coming back. But if I do it daily, the fluctuations can drive me nuts!0

Everyday as soon as I wake up! I do this so I know how what food I consume does to my body!0

Actually, you can just click on "Settings" at the top of the forums and tick the box to show your ticker automatically.
Staying on topic, I weigh myself in the morning and at night before bed. I'd like to think if I weigh myself daily, it keeps my weight loss journey fresh in my mind. Also, if I weigh weekly, I am more likely to cheat, convincing myself I can "make up for it" when it gets close to weigh-in time.0 -
I got Wii Fit for valentines day so I weigh in daily with it. I absolutely love my Wii Fit and would recommend it to anyone!0
-
not often actually, I like to determine my goals more on how I look and feel rather then the actual weight. Maybe I'm just weird like that. I mean if I lost weight but I can't "see" it then I'm still like0
-
I was doing it every morning but I am trying to go to once a week, I have gone two days! I almost got on today but I stopped myself!0

I my weigh myself everyday sometimes more than once. During the week I weigh myself when I wake up and before I go to bed. I don't freak out over my weight much. I know I will weigh more at night and that my weight can change from day to day. But I like to weigh myself often, it helps me stay focused and if I notice my weight seems to be going up I can look at what I have been doing and change it asap
Also I only truly weigh in once a week, on friday. That's the only weight that 'counts' for me.0 -
I read a study recently that stated people who weigh themselves daily are more likely to loose weight and keep it off. The thinking behind the findings is : the accountability of seeing your weight daily has a greater effect on how you choose to behave the rest of the day.
I think the important thing is to do what is best for you! I've seen people post that weighing in everyday drives them crazy; to see the numbers go up and down has a negative impact on thoughts and then behavior...this is clearly an example of a person who should NOT weigh in every day!
weight loss and health is an individual journey. It's a race you run at your own pace. It's all about finding out what rules work and dont work for you! the basics are the same; eat less, move more.
Here is to healthy living!0 -
Everyday! Hit the bathroom and then off to the scale.0
-
Every day....Sometimes a couple times a day.....
I broke that habit today though.....I am only weighing once a day and in the morning before breakfast like your suppose too :drinker:
i'm the same way! i, like a lot of americans, want instant gratification, and enjoy seeing the scale move down0
