Timbits. They are my one and only vice. I only buy them every once in a while as a treat. I know they are full of sugar and bad stuff and they come frozen to Tim Horton's but uuuuuggghh they are just so GOOD. It's a problem. But I'm okay with it.

My weakness is food. My solution, eat everything in moderation.

THIS. I LOVE food. So this is torture for me. But Im really trying to to this. So i eat a little of everything. I have a love/hate relationship with all food

I don't have much of a sweet tooth but anything with a crispy fried outer layer makes me weak at the knees! ..especially chicken and anything in puff pastry (home made sausage rolls, pasties)..

I couldn't resist a chicken kiev the other day and had to go for a jog to bring my calorie intake back down!

I have just had to ban myself from buying anything of the kind and take extra care not to venture down the street with KFC and the pasty shop when I'm feeling peckish!
Good god!! There is a road near where I work that has KFC, Mc. Donalds and a Gregg's...it's a disaster, I never go down there!! :D

Toast with honey, cake, biscuits/cookies, ice cream...but I think I am intolerant of wheat as those things really bloat me badly (apart from the ice cream), so I have cut out the problem by cutting out the wheat as far as I can. I might have small amounts when I visit my mother and get taken out for meals, but other than that, I am fighting the intense, indescribable urges to binge on cookies when I get back from hours cycling.

Fast food. I just cut it out completely, cold turkey.

I think the point of this is that you can enjoy your "weaknesses". You must count them in your calorie intake, of course, but you don't have to deny yourself. I think the trick is restoring "treats" foods back to being "treats"; not to be consumed in mass quantities every day.

I love Atkins Peanut Butter cups. I am not on a lo carb diet but they were on sale once so I got them and now the other diet bars and candies won't do. It's high in fat compared to others, since Atkins is a higher fat diet, but I love them so I work them into my intake.

The only non-clean/unhealthy things I have occasionally are alcohol and coffee, but they're not "weaknesses" because I don't try and avoid them. I love them both. I don't think I have any food weaknesses.

Everything in moderation here and when I get within a couple hundred of my calories for the day I close my diary and that's it for the day, kind of comforting like saying, well the kitchen is closed. It was hard at first and would have to come slinking back and add a late night snack or two. Now after 4 months it's second nature, once the diary is done, I'm done.

Ahhhh..... we have a grocery store here called Publix and they have a bakery that tops any I have ever been in. My weakness is their yellow birthday cake with buttercream frosting. I cannot resist it. It is my Kriptonite :)

Great...... now I want cake O.o
  • What's my weakness? Anything that tastes delicious! Im Greek and love lots of flavor in all food. If its bland, its boring to me, so I dont eat it. The way I prevent myself from eating fattening foods...I dont buy the things I love when Im at the market. Before I buy it or eat it, I stop and ask myself..."do you really WANT to do this?!" If I ask the question, I will be victorious, but if I dont...then its back to the zombie/robot eating.

Yesterday I had my first Greek Cooking Class for a few friends who wanted to make authentic Greek Baklava. It is NOT low cal in any way. I also had a small spread of Greek food/fruit to nibble, since it was around lunchtime. They made 3 trays of delicious, mouth watering Baklava...pure Heaven!! I instructed, told stories, but they made the Baklava. The good thing...when Im on my feet for so many hours, I dont want to eat. And, Im a closet eater and prefer eating alone. So...all those people in my house, I wasnt tempted to eat. I did taste each tray for flavor and consistency (usually Id eat at least 1/2 doz just testing!). When everyone was leaving, my daughter asked how much Baklava I wanted. I said "none", but she left me 2 pcs. Drat!! When I saw them last night, I ate them without even thinking. Today? No Baklava in my house! YAY!!! If its in my house, and I love it...I WILL EAT IT!!

A new habit Im trying to excel in...if its in my house, and its not healthy for me...throw it away!!! Im starting to do that, and its becoming easier. What helps me the most is this site...knowing Im accountable and need to log everything is working for me. Im telling my friends, too...it works!!! Blessings....:flowerforyou:

Candy and chocolate-anything. THe only chocolate I can eat without constantly craving it afterwords for DAYS is dark chocolate. I have control over not buying it in the first place. BUT If I do eat a piece of candy or sweet chocolate, that day is blown. I will eat all of whatever I have until its gone and if its someone elses I will go by myself some or go home and eat chocolate chips. (I have to keep them on hand for baking for my husband) So I pretty much just CAN NOT eat those things anymore because I can't control myself. I can accept that though.

Oh my, the things I love to eat. I'm not into sweet but salty and crunchy I love!! Here's my list:

    Crunchy pressed cuban sandwiches
Scoop fritos with Hellava Bacon Horseradish dip (could easily eat a whole bag with the whole container of dip)
Bacon in anyway form or manner
    Fried chicken
Cracklin' cornbread with lots of butter (baked in a cast iron pan so it has crispy edges)

Gosh we love our unhealthy food down in the South. You fry it, we'll eat it!!!!
