Unnatural hair colors

Technically, my hair was never DYED, but I had falsies in that were both black and sorta flamingo pink. Dye doesn't take very well to my naturally dark hair and I've been a bit skeptical about bleaching it in order to have a proper fluorescent color hold.

Buuut once I am out of the watchful eye of my '***** about everything' parents and my hair locks into dreads, I want to bleach and dye maybe a few of them pink.. or maybe blue.. depending on how I feel in the future.

Love my purple I get some "looks" at times, especially while out with my two year old and four year old daughters, but they love mommy's hair. And it's fun to go out at as a family, my husband is rocking a corporate mohawk these days.

I had fire engine red (think Kat from Victorious) about 5 years ago. I loved it, but it washed out quickly and I was way too lazy to maintain it. I've never done any really far out colors.

I had mine a bright pink for about 5 years, but I went to blonde.

I currently have purple (that will fade to hot pink) and dark brown hair.

I've been every single natural color and so far with the unnatural I've had hot pink, cherry red, purple, light pink (that glowed under black light) and blue. So far the purple that fades into hot pink is my fave. The color will last forever.

I have also had a blue peekaboo but since I didn't bleach my hair before that it wasn't really visible.

i had blue highlights in high school, but that was the last time i cared about putting the time in to maintain. my hair's naturally very dark (i'm asian) so i had to bleach the streaks, and yeah... too low-maintenance to have kept up the bleach/touch-up process. but i loved how it looked. i might try a burgundy/purplish color but that'd fall on the natural-ish side i reckon, since it won't be very visible against the natural hair color.

I wish I had better pictures but these are the only ones I could fine being they were all about 4 years ago.. I have also had all of my hair orange, green, yellow, and pink high lights as well.

never died my hair a crazy color, but I have a couple of long thick wigs. One is bright blue and the other is bright pink, I love them both!!

I dyed my hair dark blonde last 2009 although it only made a slight difference to my look since my natural hair color is medium brown.

I've been green, blue, red, orange, yellow, pink. Pink and red. Orange and red. Blue and pink. Blue, pink and purple. Also rainbow.

Pretty much anything you can think of I've done it.

My hair's a very dark, very vivid red. It's not GLARING like neon or pastel anything, but it's very obviously unnatural and I love it. I don't think I'd do much of anything else. I'm not the complexion for neon and I take way too much pride and joy in my hair (it's past my hips!) to risk much.

Excuse the derp face, this was taken at the very end of a concert (EMILIE AUTUMN ) after I'd been blasted in the face by mile-long confetti so I'm a little o_@!!



And another unflattering pic, but the only good one of my hair that I'm not in some really weird part-steampunk, part-industrial, with a touch of goth costuming. XD

I work in a very conservative industry, so I'm pushing it with both my hair color and my tats (but they're hidden). For a long time, I had very bleached blond hair:




This is the color I am now, and keep returning to:



Last month, I dyed it blue-black and omg...just the roots turned blue. Was the funniest thing every! Boy did I get some looks. Oh well. I went back to my burgundy (purplish-red).

I've had my hair many un natural colors. I love it! But I have to occasionally take a break from it cause continued bleaching can be a real pain on my hair

I wish I had pictures. I never bleached my hair to get the super bright colors but blue, purple, and green all showed up pretty nicely in my dark hair. Purple looked best on me, but blue was my favorite.

All I have to say is the worst part is when it fades. I recommend lumin dye (it's very permanent, this was about a year after it was colored)

I love to highlight mine with purple even thought I am probably too old to be doing that... I have trouble though with the time it lasts .. so i have resorted to the Debbie Harry shadow ... I am naturally blonde but it is an ugly blonde so i have colored for about 30 years ...

Oh .. how could i forget to share my first crazy color ... I didn't know blonde mirrors ... OMG... i used a cap and only pulled a third of my hair through cause i wanted quit a few ... I might as well have just colored the whole thing .. It was fall and if i went up on a hillside of flaming maples .. you couldn't see me ...LOL

i spent the summer bleached blond with purple dipped ends. my husband hated it, lol. Usually I go with bright cherry red all over. Right now though, I'm letting it get back to natural (brown) because it's been breaking and falling out!
