3/5 = 12,638 * Made myself take a walk at 5:30pm tonight. Had I not, I would have been reporting a very low step count today!
3/6 = 2,262 * I had to stay home this morning to make phone calls before work. I worked an extra hour and after making dinner and eating I just didn't get out and walk. *sigh.*
3/7 = 5,190 * Egads! I worked an 8 hour shift, went to my son's school to withdraw him before 10am.... and totally fell flat after skipping lunch (didn't get a 'lunch' break until 5:30 pm - worked 10am- 6pm) so didn't walk for exercise at all.
3/8 = 5,130 * Another morning shift and no time to walk after work again. Tomorrow I don't go in until 1pm and the same for Sunday, so I hope to make up my steps lost the last three days then!

Hello: I'm in a little late too. I do lots of exercise: 45 min swim X1, strength training X3, cardio X6 days a week. Would be interested to know the total steps I take in addition to the above. Will try for 10,000. Someone on the previous days said that a pedometer at Walmart was $4.00...but haven't tried it. Will buy one tomorrow and jump in Tuesday with a report. Congratulations to all for such a motivating start.0

So I seemed to have set a lofty goal of breaking 10,000 10x this month....11 days in and I only managed ONCE. Life keeps rolling and I'm sure going to keep trying but realistically...I'm going to drop my goal to 6x this month! April, I'll go for 8x!0 -
I checked as I was heading to bed and discovered I needed about 270 more steps to make 10k. A trip around the house and marching while brushing my teeth put me over!

I have seen a few posts that Omron step counters are good. Some of those are $10 to $15. I have a New Balance Via Slim that was $30 - it is small and works well. There are some New Balance ones for about $10.0 -

03/03= 3134 forgot my fitbit at home for the moring. it would have been about 3k more steps
03/04= 3584 did climb 8 flights though... I was cleaning all day. So was moving just not taking that many steps. oh well. .
03/05= 8255 forgot the fitbit at home but downloaded it on my phone. Might be off a few steps.
03/06= 6855 close but no cigar..
03/07= 7233 a little better.
03/08= 6900 I should have walked a few more steps I could have reached that 7k.. Next time.

I'm going to try and remeber to wear my step counter daily. I would love to do this daily but I'm just so forgetful in the morning Thanks dancingj2 for reminding me to start tracking. I need a little push every once in a while0 -
Does everyone take off their counter when they exercise? If I took my counter off while exercising I would not make it anywhere close to the 10,000 mark? The desk job really kills my walking. I try to get up and move around every hour but sometimes it just isn't possible.0
