Up quite a bit this week, bah and to think after Christmas i was below 150!! Not sure how I gained either because i've been kind of sick lately. I don't know if I have a touch of the flu or what, but let's just say food has been going through me pretty fast? sorry gross. Haven't quite figured out what it is, have had terrible stomach cramps with it too and would blame it on TOM if I hadn't been just last week. Been trying to stay hydrated and see if that helps but just feel so tired too so that doesn't help, especially when I have so much homework to do!! Boy, you think Stress might be a part of it?? :huh:
Anyway, enough complaining, i need to get to campus. Sorry i haven't done personals lately. This afternoon I promise!!!!0 -

Yay! I'm still not convinced that I'll meet my goal for the challenge but I don't mind that idea. Tiff like you said the other day, I have some other health and fitness goals that do not revolve directly around the scale so I really do feel less pressure about it.
Cathy, it can be so frusrating seeing a gain and not knowing why but we all know what we need to do

Kristin, are you bloated? Swelling? Your uterus may have more fluid it in now for baby growth reasons too. As long as you are still eating well, don't stress the weight gain. You will still fluctuate. I'm super proud of you for charting your weight gain during pregnancy and pacing yourself as much as possible. I know my biggest downfall was not knowing to watch my weight. I think you are doing super great! :flowerforyou:

Lauryn...thanks!:flowerforyou: I figured I need to hold myself accountable for what I gain...yes, some of it I have no control over, but the choices I do make will impact the rest. I must say, I do give into my ice cream cravings, but otherwise, I make sure to get in lots of fruits, veggies, and dairy. Plus the needed protein and carbs. I'm not too worried! It's just amazing to see how quick I can gain it some weeks as opposed to others!0 -

B. No worries, the weekend / monday's I can't really get online anyways! BUT I am here today and we need to get our butts in gear... chin up girl. Tonight I am doing cardio kick boxing for an hour... then eating a veggie filled dinner... I will be a bit under on the calories today... but monday was a BADDDD day... so I figure it will all even out in the end...!!!

Gosh, not many of us weighing in thus far today. I'm posting the list so I can find it again later.... I am debating working out after work today (in a half hour from now). My dad is in the hospital with heart issues (will be in most of this week, at least) so my schedule is a little off, couldn't work out during lunch. I have no energy to work out (thanks to stress and horrid amounts of pollen) but I need to do something, I think. We'll see. Might not.0 -

Slow times around here! The group seems to be dwindling.
Well, despite my stiff muscles I did a 3.7km run today which felt AMAZING. I'm so glad I did it!! It felt amazing to run and really helped move the lactic acid out of my muscles. I've been SO HUNGRY the last two days though. It's quite something. My HRM reported my race as a 1000 calorie burn (in 58 minutes) but it seems wild to me that I'm still so hungry today. It's also TOM now though so maybe it's hormones. I chose to go with my hunger today which did put me WAY over calories but it wasn't binging on junk, just eating much more than I usually would. But I've had these moments before and it seems that when my body is REALLY asking for more food and I listen to it and remain attentive to the signals. I've had great balance lately but I still feel a little jittery about going over in cals, hence the explanation :laugh:

whoooo.... down a half pound. Might be more, I've been eating stir fry the last few days. I made it here, but it still has a couple tablespoons of soy sauce per serving, so there's a whole day's worth of sodium. I did make the last batch with lower sodium soy sauce, but I don't like the taste as much. Have managed to get DH out for a walk twice in the past week. If only I could keep him out of my chocolate chips! He's got the major carb addiction going on, and does good, but then slips up in the evening. I found out he's even been eating my secret (or not so secret as the case may be) stash of valentines candy! I still had half a bag a week ago, and now it's almost empty. He knows better than to empty it completely, because if I go to get a piece and it's all gone, I'm going to be a crabby crabby woman!0 -

I just wanted to say... Expect goooood things in your life. God (or whomever you believe in) never gives you more than you can handle... Life is truly a blessing. Though we are in a battle with our weight, we must remember that each day is a GIFT and we better unwrap that present and enjoy it RIGHT NOW. As we are. No matter how many flaws we have... cause we have ONE chance at this and we don't get a do-over. Live life to the fullest and find Joy in your struggles!

that is what i needed to keep my head straight. it is something i needed to hear that God doesn't give us more than we can handle. i i think sometimes it helps to just tell him when i can't handle it anymore. love the new pic. you are jumping so high. good luck on your test.
everyone else you are all doing a great job on keeping the gains rather low....just think they could have been higher if you weren't on here and knew you had to report. great job to the losers. keep up the great work. sorry for no personals i have been in just a funk and with the job loss. speaking of...lauryn hows your job hunting going? ours is going. he's out now dropping more resumes. he has dropped at least 10, I have dropped 5. will be going to temp services next week. and had told him if nothing happens by the middle of next month i will start applying at fast food. anything to bring in some money. weight loss dept is going also. the cookies are gone. yes, i saw to that last night after popcorn. but, they are gone. DH saw to it that the bread from dinner was given to the dog. must be telling me something.
well, need to shower and get some things done around here. strange being without a car, like the old days.

I guess I will weigh in today. Didn't make it yesterday.
My dad's in the hospital with heart arrythmia. The heart cath resulted in no blocked arteries, which is a good thing. Now they are performing a cardiac MRI and an EP study to see why his heart keeps slowing and stopping and then racing. He's only 49 but has a laundry list of health problems.
The job market sucks. Looking at available jobs, or the lack thereof, is depressing. At least I am resume-ready. :ohwell:
Estranged Husband is getting on my last nerve, if I even have one left for him. He vacilates between sending me cards and caring actions trying to win me back, to being super angry and a jerk because I left. I'm sick of the emotional rollercoaster.
My mother likes to eat dinner around my own bedtime.... so I had a terrible dinner out at a restaurant from 9p-9:45p last night. I bit my tongue when Mom asked why the cafeteria would dare close so early (at 7pm)! I will get back to normal eating habits as soon as I can. Living with unhealthy eaters who refuse to acknowledge my (trying to be) healthy eating habits is terrible. :indifferent: I will probably be eating out dinner the rest of this week while Dad is in the hospital.
Not looking to see a loss today. Hoping not to have gained.0 -

Lauryn, that's brutal. I have such a hard time understanding how people could NOT be supportive of such efforts... Sorry to hear about the ex issues. That sounds like a very rough road.

Hello ladies! Hope everyone is hanging in there... I know some of you are facing scary personal things, and my heart goes out to you. But, you are all stronger than you realize, and you will all find your ways through these things. Keep the faith, girls.
Today, I tried a video workout... Jillian Michaels: Cardio Kickbox... I downloaded it from Netflix instant queue. I was a bit disappointed, because it said it was 29 minutes, but only 20 minutes of it was actual workout. Bunch of time at the beginning where she was talking about how she was going to push you, and blah blah blah. It did shoot my heart rate up, my high was 188, average was 169. I like the idea of the instant queue thing and will be looking to see what other workouts I can find on there. Its funny though, I don't mind going to the gym and working out, but I feel weird doing it at home, and don't want to do it when anybody is here and might see me lol.
By the way, I think I was right about the sodium yesterday. I stepped on the scale today, and was down a bit more than yesterday. I'll keep what I posted on there though, and just have an amazing loss next Tuesday... I'll be happy if I'm back to my starting weight at the end of this challenge.0 -

I don't think I will ever in my life lose any more weight. All I have done for MONTHS is sit on the fence of 158-162. Part of the problem is my complacency. I look so much better than I have in a decade, and I like it. I shouldn't. I should strive for more. The other part of my problem is my current life, stress out the wazoo. I've gotta learn to adapt there.
I either need to work out more or stop the night time binge eating. Maybe if I literally put duct tape over my mouth it would help? :noway: :laugh: :laugh: :laugh:
I went for a run in the pollen clouds today. My contacts are kaput -- glasses back on. The pollen does a doozie on my poor eyes. However, the run was FANTASTIC and really helped my mood!!!! I am so glad I went. A little good music and a hard workout on an already tired body actually made me feel better.
Maybe I can focus and get work done now.

If you are able, work on just maintaining. Don't backslide and gain any weight back. Just hold steady. Keep working out. I PROMISE that is the ONLY WAY to keep your mood from becoming horrible. Take out your frustrations during a workout.0 -

Hey ladies Sorry haven't checked in. Been on the computer, but I got myself addicted to a stupid Farm game on Facebook. Also, have been running back and forth to the hospital to try and test my daughters urine. They lost the first test, then tested the wrong thing for the second test, and finally got it right the 3rd time around, but still don't know what the heck is wrong. She has been complaining of a tummy ache for over a week now. She has her ups and downs with it. Don't know what to do.
Well, as you see, I gained this week, but I tell you what, I'm pretty good at this maintaining thing.:laugh: :laugh: :laugh: , better than gaining I guess.
Hey Lauryn, when you coming to Charleston? We will definately have to get together. If you bring your daughter, let me know and I'll bring mine.

Kristen, great job on the GAIN!!!! I can't wait to see my girlfriend at her baby shower next month. She is due June with a boy. I feel bad for her because she just lost her dad and FIL during this pregnancy and it was her dad's first grand baby. Plus, she was laid off her job during her pregnancy. Poor thing.

yes, shanell still running. i did a sprinting today, tore me up. burned very close to 500 in just 30 mins. did enjoy it. i might do it again tomorrow. i did pull a back muscle the other day at the gym doing 80#s of weight on an ab machine. a little sore, but not bad. so might do gym in the morning.

I MUST take tomorrow as a rest day lest I tempt over-training this week. I just can't stop... SO MUCH ENERGY! And I decided it was time for me to put my ticker back to acknowledge where I started from. I don't feel like it will be a hindrance anymore and I'm proud of how far I've come and of being back on track!0
