I don't know who or what incident(s) you're referring to, but you will find rude people on every forum sadly. People who are very brave and nasty when hiding behind their laptop.

I've actually found MFP to be a lot friendlier than some.....

No specifics... just reading through and I see people getting jumped on and needing to defend their posts... Just think it deters people from ever posting on the message boards because of a select few that have nothing better to do but chop other people down.

Very true! Nobody was rude to me, yet. We shall see.. OR I just won't bother with these boards... I'm an adult, don't need negativity from strangers!!

Exactly. We're figments of your imagination. And you are a figment of my imagination.

Generally it's not rudeness. It's sarcasm, which doesn't translate well online. :flowerforyou:

See this is a problem. When the imaginary people I chat with here start telling me they aren't real my eyes go cross for a minute and my nose starts bleeding.

Don't you run into people you consider rude in real life too? Why would you expect someplace where people can intereact without knowing each other at all to be less rude than what you see when you go to the store, or out to eat?

I don't know if you guys noticed this, but I have noticed that men with pictures of themselves in front of the mirror with their gigantic bulging biceps are the meanest -- maybe we are dealing with 'roid rage here :) Yeah, I have noticed some rudeness from others as well: EMO types, probably those bitter of people's progress, those who can't share their negativity in anyone else's forums..... It's sad but true! We shall be positive and continue our MFP!

A lot of people in forums are rude and often. Maybe it's the only way they get attention,, I'm not sure. I just make sure I pick good friends on here and so far they are AWESOME! I love them all. Thank you my friends and family!

Almost true. Everyone on this site except for OP is one of my alts. It really leaves time for little else.

I have seen it too. Some people just seem to be determined to make anyone who ever posts a question feel stupid. I don't get it. I think groups are better. People are more motivated to be nice and support the group than a huge forum of people :)

This. Rude people are a part of life. I deal with them on the road, at work, at the store and online.

Not to be rude ( ) but complaining about it on a forum does not change a fact of life.

I'm sorry, but that sounded like a generalization, which could be "skewed" as a type of rude, because not all muscled guys are on steroids....
