How to calculate if you don't have a BMF
Men: BMR = 66 + (13.7 X weight in kg) + (5 X height in cm) - (6.8 X age in years)
Women: BMR = 655 + (9.6 X weight in kg) + (1.8 X height in cm) - (4.7 X age in years)
1 inch = 2.54cm and 1kg = 2.2 lbs.0 -

TDEE ranges from 1650-2200 (depending on the calories I burn throughout the day with moderate exercise).0 -
I am starting with body weight exercises in circuit training form. How do I calculate that into my TDEE? I would be 2-3 days a week at about 15 minutes per shot.

Interesting!
I don't feel like I am that active, just up early and dance around i suppose xD Should be around 2900 today according to BMF and all I did was lift, walk around campus, and walk to the bank and back. Hmm
But lifting heavy raises your calorie needs. That's why people are told over and over again to lift heavy to lose weight because you can eat the same amount as the cardio bunnies and lose weight faster because your calorie needs are higher. :flowerforyou:0 -

Sometimes I think I forget this xD I always see that "average" women have a TDEE of 1800. SO to think mine is almost 1000 calories more blows my mind! Heh
Seems like many people are in the same spot I am. Good job guys0 -

what's a BMF?
BMR - The basal metabolic rate (BMR) is the base rate at which your body consumes calories for basic metabolic functions like maintaining internal temperature, repairing cells, pumping blood, powering muscles at rest, etc. In other words, it is the rate at which your body consumes calories when at rest.
You would burn these calories if you were in a coma. You need to eat your BMR calories for your body to function properly and then more if you workout. There's a ton of threads on here about eating your BMR.0
