Wear it! Then run the jets so you can hide in the bubbles if you start feeling too exposed.0

put it on and let your husband make you feel totally awesome about wearing it! But don't skip out on it because you're afraid of how you're going to feel! I'm sure all of your friends know your journey and are supportive of you, because that's what friends do for each other.0

Be the first one in and the last one out. Keep those jets going! Honestly, you can't ever see much when you are in a hot tub anyway. Keep a towel by the side and your slick moves in and out of the tub shouldn't require much notice. Enjoy your party...these are friends. If they care that much, you need new ones. They probably will love the new body!0

I think you should get a new suit. Or at least a new top (Walmart and Target always has mix-n-match, so you can find one that will match the bottoms).
If you're not completely comfortable, you'll be self-conscious the whole night.
I'm the same way, I like mine covered in a bathing suit or I feel like they're going to fall out.0 -
i think that you should ALWAYS try something out of your comfort zone! this brings change! you have a new body, and gosh darnit, if i didnt have a mommy tummy i would rock the HELL out of it. you WORKED for it! you EARNED it! i say WEAR THAT SUCKER, and stop worrying about what everyone else will think about it. EMBRACE change, i mean, you bought it for a reason. you met your goal. whats stopping you?!0

Does your husband's opinion count?
Yes! Of course it does but he will never give it. Claims to be "Switzerland" or pleads the 5th. That has saved his *kitten* in the past, but also leaves me wondering what he's thinking!0 -
Make everyone go naked. That way you will all be uncomfortable together.0

wear the new top, but wear a tank top over it- there is no reason to miss your own party fun- just cover the puppies up a bit- you will be more comfortable eventually!
Good for you for needing a smaller size!

How about using the slightly revealing bathing sute, with a wifebeater/tanktop over?0
-
Just wear whatever makes you comfortable. I don't think it will seem like you are asking for attention unless you are walking around in your bathing suit all day unnecessarily. There is nothing wrong with going into the pool and/or hot tub in your swimsuit and covering up with a towel or top when you get out, or even while you swim (if that makes you feel better about it). I'm sure you've worked hard to get where you are anyways and there is no shame in wearing something that shows off your hard work!0

For those who missed the question, check the OP: "so will wearing something that is in no way porn-starish but still more revealing than usual make me look like I'm out of my mind / grasping / attention seeking / etc. ??????"Does your husband's opinion count?
Yes! Of course it does but he will never give it. Claims to be "Switzerland" or pleads the 5th. That has saved his *kitten* in the past, but also leaves me wondering what he's thinking!
I was going to say have your hubby tell you what he thinks, mine always says More cleavage no matter what the case (which reminds me of a wet t-shirt contest he begged me to enter... totally regret! lol) But since yours prefers to plead the fifth you need to let him know that what he thinks matters to you, rather it is good or not and accept his answer, Otherwise take the advice of what is comfortable to you!! Good Luck and enjoy!!0
