    Congrats to all the losers this week and all those still trying there best to stick to it! Everyone is putting in such a wonderful effort.

    As for this weeks challenge, how about making sure we get our recommended daily intake of fruit and veggies. And how about picking up the water goal again too, get in those 8 cups.

    Hey guys,

    I'm sorry I haven't checked in for a while. We had some issues with our home internet (I could still log my food thanks to my smartphone, but I couldn't access the forums). But I should be back now, and will weigh in on Monday as usual.

    I've started a bit of weight training on top of cardio. It's fun, and it makes me feel empowered! I really need to work on my upper body. I've always had very strong legs, but I have no arm strength to speak of. But I'm working on that now, and it feels good.

    Tomorrow I'm going to try going to the gym before work. I find myself skipping out sometimes because I use that old excuse of being too tired from the work day, or too stressed, or just needing to get home because of a ****ty day or something. Hopefully, if I go in the morning, I'll avoid excuses like that.

    I was feeling really guilty for not being around for a week or so and then I read everyone's messages, I guess it's just that time of year! I'm finally on the mend from a really bad chest cold... I was off of school for 2 days which is crazy since it is state testing time and you pretty much have to be dead to be able to take time off! Haha! Anyway, I'm alive and well and will start logging again today. Hope I didn't gain any weight as I haven't been up to exercising. Looking forward to catching up more this evening, just wanted to post before I left for work. Hope you all are doing well!

    So the scale didn't budge at all this week but I don't care because this past Tuesday my family and I finally flew home from South Korea. :) My Tuesday was 36 hours long of traveling on buses, planes and waiting in airports. So my food choices and options weren't that great and I know I had some boredom eating going on during the longest portion of the flight (from Japan to D.C.). So to not have the scale move at all knowing how crappily I ate that day combined with my overall lack of exercise is pretty darn good I would say. But now that I'm home, I need to start working out again and not letting the move and everything involved with it be an excuse as to why I'm not doing anything.

    Tealighttrees - glad your loving the strength training. I've got to start doing more of that myself. Hope the mornings are working for you... it sounds like a good strategy!

    Myjourney2 & shadowkitty - yay for maintaining during a tough week! That's impressive and shows that you're hard work is paying off.

    Haven't been feeling great lately so figured I'd check in here to my fellow MFP's.
    To sum it up in a nutshell, 18 months ago I lost my dad very unexpectedly, it then followed with my mother and grandad being diagnosed with cancer, I then lost my gran in December unexpectedly, and my grandad passed away in March. It's been a *kitten* year but I've continually kept busy not to think about it. My boyfriend and I went on a break in April and we got back together after a few days but I've had trouble trusting him since (I assumed he cheated on me after finding texts from a girl on his phone, I didn't ask him about them but I asked if he had ever cheated on me or texted other girls he said no and only as friends. He was totally devoted since then and gave me no reason not to trust him but I couldn't). Since then my trust issues didn't go away like I hoped, instead I was constantly paranoid and always pushing him away. The last few weeks I've felt majorly down and I'd look forward to seeing him so much but then be quite mean when I was with him and constantly have a go at him. Two weeks ago I started to get breathing difficulties, I guess the only way to describe it is not being able to get a deep enough breath. I never seem excited about anything anymore, been having trouble sleeping, and sometimes no appetite. My boyfriend broke up with me last week and since then I have been a crying mess, I don't blame him for ending it because he had no clue about how I was feeling at all. I met up with him last night to talk and I asked him about those texts, he explained and now I feel worse for not trusting him and ruining our relationship. I want to try again but he won't he said he's being trying really hard, he doesn't think it would work and then he couldn't do this to me again. I'm feeling more down than ever and I don't know whether I'm depressed/anxious but I'm starting to worry about this breathing thing and was wondering if anyone else has experience with any of this? My mother has made me get a doctors appointment which is Monday so I guess I'll get answers then but right now I feel awful/like my world has ended. I know this is partly to do with the breakup, I did see a future for us and I'm trying to think that if it's meant to be then it will happen when we're both ready.
    Sorry for the rambling it just feels better to let it all out.

    Good job on maintaining shadowkitty. I know on the long travel days are really hard for eating. When my husband and I went flew halfway around the world (literally) for our honeymoon I felt like all I did was sleep and eat and eat and eat. I hope things settle down for you know that the move is over.

    Suferfreak – I hope you can get some answers from the doctor on Monday and get back to feeling better.

    For all of us that have a long weekend coming up, I just wanted to give a little encouragement. We can make better choices this weekend and come to weigh in on Monday feeling good. If it is nice enough where you are get outside and move a little. I’m going to take my daughter peach picking tomorrow. She is a little young but since it is supposed to drop 20 degrees and only be in the mid 80’s tomorrow it will be a great morning outside. And it will be a good workout for me since she isn’t walking yet.

    We are over halfway through the challenge and still have plenty of time to make progress towards our goals.

    That's exactly what we did as well. We flew from South Korea on Tuesday the 22nd and finally landed (after a stupid 4 hour delay) at 1 am Wednesday morning (it would've been 4 pm Wednesday afternoon in Korea).

    Down another 3 pounds AND it's my TOM!! I'm in shock! I also have only been to the gym 3 times this week to do my jog and that's it. I was wondering if it's possible to change my goal weight for this challenge? If so, I would like to change it to 169. If not, it's no big. Thanks and Happy Memorial Day!!
