I would say that being a man, good husband requires you to be healthy. Not only for your own needs to those of your family.
If he wants to lose weight along with you and get healthy then suck it up, be a man and learn to like them.

If he knows he needs to eat more veg but says he doesn't like them that seems more like how kids and teenagers behave concerning vegetables.

Do you think this would be good with ground turkey? I got carried away when it went on sale and our freezer has more turkey than we know what to do with?!

My husband is a Meat and potato man, too but he LOVES these!!

    MEATLOAF MUFFINS

1 package 99% fat free ground turkey
    1 medium onion
    1 medium red bell pepper
    1 large zucchini
    2 egg whites
    ½ tsp Onion powder
    Black pepper
    6 tbsp Ketchup
    ½ cup oatmeal
    ¼ cup Italian breadcrumbs
    2 tsp Worcestershire Sauce
    Preheat oven to 400
Cut up and sauté veggies in butter flavor cooking spray until they are soft, mix veggies, turkey, egg whites, 4 tbsp. ketchup, black pepper, onion powder, oatmeal, and breadcrumbs in a large bowl. Divide between 12 muffin cups (make sure to spray pan with cooking spray like PAM).
Mix 2tbsp ketchup and Worcestershire Sauce in a small bowl and brush over the top of muffins for a glaze. Bake for about 25 mins and enjoy!

88 calories per "muffin" add 6 calories per muffin if usng 93% lean ground turkey.

This is my SO favorite 322 calories according to recipe. I used ground turkey. And low sodium cheese. And no rice instead I put tomato sauce in blender and add a can of peas and carrots.... I don't particularly like veggies.

I replace everything that calls for ground beef with ground turkey

How about some low-fat beef chili? Here's what I make (serves about 4):

    1 lb ground beef
    1 onion, diced
    1 Tbsp. olive oil
    15 oz. can diced tomato
    small can of tomato paste
    15 oz. can kidney beans
    1 cup orange pepper, diced
    15 oz. can kernel corn
garlic, cumin, chili powder, oregano, salt, pepper, tobasco to taste

Put the olive oil, ground beef and onions in a pot and cook at med ium to high until beef is browned. Add remaining ingredients and mix, lower heat to simmer. You can eat it very soon, but the longer it simmers the better it will taste (reccomend about 2 hours).

A serving should be around 420 calories, 40g carbs, 15g fat, 28g protein, 9g fiber.

The best part about chili - you can mix and match all of this until you find the mix that both of you like. Hope this helps!

This is a good sounding stew...not chili!!!

I LOVE to buy the mini fingerling potatos. Just boil a bunch in water with cilantro, spice (coriander seed, marjoram, thyme, paprika, etc). Once they are done, put them in a serving dish/bowl and spritz with 0 cal spray butter.

I buy bulk chicken tenderloins, grill them all at once and keep them in the fridge/freezer.

Serve the anti-salt seasoned yard bird with the boiled potatos. Throw in a fresh spinach salad. Find the Salad Spritzers by Wishbone in the dressing aisle.

YUM!!! Great simple CLASSIC meat/potatoes recipe!!
