I need some opinions on implants or not...

I'm 5 foot 4 and wear a 38C bra. Currently I'm about 155 and plan on losing more weight as well. I am debating if I should get implants to make me feel better about myself. I have been exercising, eating right, and making lots of positive life changes in the last 2 years. I was just wondering how others felt about implants. Ladies and gentlemen, please share your thoughts with me. What do you think about real boobs vs. implants?
I don't want giant kick balls either...lol...I just have always wanted larger boobs and I thought this might be a good time to get them. It might also make me relax about my stomach and not have such a complex about it. I'm not trying to e a porn star or anything like that, I just think it would enhance my shape some.
I have a plastic surgeon that I have used before and am totally confident in his work. He knows what I am interested in and suggested a breast lift as well. He was totally and brutally honest with me, and I needed to hear that.

If you get them, get them done right. I personally prefer natural, but I have many female friends who have implants who look fabulous.

I think they are expensive. You are supposed to have them replaced every 7-10 years which costs a few thousand dollars. Then there are the risks of complications every time you have to have them replaced. Also, surgery gets more dangerous once you are over a certain age and it becomes more difficult for the body to heal. There is also the chance of scar tissue, especially if the surgery needs to be reperformed and the breast tissue is being stretched and cut open/sewed together repeatedly.
I don't have anything against people who get breast implants, but to me they are not worth it due to the above fact (and I would rather be flat chested than have to go through the above...but I pass out when I have blood drawn so lol...o_o)0 -
Do your research before you get them done and make sure the doctor is good. I have several friends who have implants and they were done so well you would never in a million years know. No scars and they don't look like balls on their chest when they lay down. Very natural.
I have seen a LOT of bad boob jobs and believe me you do not want to be butchered. It's just horrible!0 -
well, I don't have implants, but would consider them, but a lot of guys like the feel of natural and the look of fake...its up to you though, your body, do what YOU want, but research first and go for a good surgeon etc0
-
If you are already a C I don't see why you need implants personally.... I have them, but only so I could get to a C! I couldn't even fill an A before, even after a child0

I dont like fakies0

Well if your current breast are looking a little deflated after losing weight, I can see why you want to get implants. But 38C is a good size. If you boobs look good then don't do it. But hey. It is ultimately up to you and if it will be a good thing for you then go for it. Just as everyone already said, do your research, doctor, side effects, the whole ball of wax.0

Implants or surgery for reconstruction of damage maybe, or if your job depends on it, but for vanity? no, not in my opinion. Natural is always more beautiful and a person who is happier the way they are is likely to happier for the long run.0

I had a lot of the same issues/concerns and I got them. I shopped doctors and made an informed decision. I love mine and I have never regretted it. If you do choose to do it make sure you buy the insurance policy ( only $100 bucks for 10 years) and hire a qualified trainer to help you rebuild your upper body strength.
Go for it gurl! :happy:0 -
You want implants and you have C's? You should feel blessed! I don't even wanna talk about my size... hahaha. But you should feel good about your natural self! Confidence is sexier than big boobs in my opinion. I am not hating on people with implants, just not my thing.0

First off, You're a C cup...and real....why would you even consider getting anything? Maybe get a lift...but I wouldn't regardless....
I had no boobs, wasn't even an A cup. I got them done for me. I did not care about the risks. Easy for a person with boobs to say, I'd rather be flat chested........ until you are flat chested...
I love my boobs fake and all. BUT, If you already have them, you're already winning! LOL. I am sure they are beautiful.0 -
I'm not for or against implants, but personally I would never get them. I hate needles and blood and being in pain, so opting for surgery is just not for me. I have two friends with them and one looks awesome, the other one totally looks fake and ridiculous. If you do it, make sure you do some research and find a good doctor and pick a reasonable size.I am debating if I should get implants to make me feel better about myself.
This statement concerns me though...implants are not going to give you confidence. I would start by embracing the awesome changes you're making to your body by losing weight and getting healthy, feeling good about that, and then decide (when you think you're as awesome as you are!) whether or not you want them.
Best of luck on your continued journey!!0 -
ok, as a guy, I am repulsed at women that get implants. I think it makes women look cheap and vain. Leave the implants where they belong, strippers and pro wrestlers.0

I say no. Boobs are nice, but if you are getting smaller and smaller from losing weight and your boobs match your body why mess with it? I knew a girl who was a size 6, no butt and had DD implants. SHe looked ridiculous and they looked really fake and dumb. However, if you lose ALL your boobs and want to go like to a C and be perkier, then I would be all for that!0

Maybe finish losing weight before you decide? Weight loss does some very mean things to your boobies. A C cup is a nice size, in my opinion but I think you need to be happy with yourself. Whatever you do, make sure to research A LOT.0
-
I think if you are an A or even maybe a B then it is something to consider, but a C is a great size not too big not too small. No need to change anything. However, after losing all your weight if they need a lift that's a different story, but I see no reason to add anything.0

Implants will NOT make you feel better about yourself..that being said I have them (since I was 22 ..so 12 years..on my third set) and cant imagine life without them, however it is a decision that should not be taken lightly...and I CANNOT stress enough...WILL NOT MAKE YOU FEEL BETTER ABOUT YOURSELF.0

Get them.... if that is what you want for your self. I plan on getting some the end of this year once I hit my goal. However I'm not a C cup anymore... so that is my reasoning behind it.0

This. I am also unhappy with my rack but would consider a lift instead of going fake... but fixing my boobs isn't going to create confidence that isn't there ot begin with. It may improve your self esteem levels, but I was just concerned by the phrasing you used.0 -
hell, reward yourself... Find a kick *kitten* surgeon the will lift them as well! For the haters implants now feel like the real thing jus saying!!!!0

This is one area where you should do a lot of research, background checking of the doctors you are thinking of working with, and spend as much as you possibly can afford.
Just like tattoos, a set of tits is something you should spend as much as you can on. Cheap bad ones look horrid, while expensive and quality work can be wonderful.0 -
I wouldn't. You mention confidence but what happens if the job is botched or you end up not liking them? Then you'll feel worse :frown:
I have a few friends who have gotten them and were upset with nipple placement and some thought the size was embarrassing (as in they got too big of implants) Personally I think if you get a modest size (don't go size GGG or anything lol!) Then it would look really nice but keep in mind its a risk to go under and expensive one at that. Just be sure to do your research and don't do anything off of a whim!0 -
As a guy I don't think you would need them. If you want to be bigger up there, try working out your chest muscles. Be happy with the new who you are becoming.0
-
Do you mind me asking why you are on your third set already? 12 years and 3 sets seems like a lot. My plastic surgeon gave me the lists of reason why you would need them replaced, but I was wondering how you had 3 problems with them already.0
-
I wouldn't trade natural gifts unless I had an anomaly. Feeling better about yourself is something which comes from within, mental state. Implants might do a temporary illusion to a higher self esteem, but when you get back to reality you're still the same. I'd prefer rather stick to my hard work to improve the physique I already have.0

It's a personal choice, I have them and would do it all over again........0
