Why al the hubbub? Pancakes, regular, don't have that much calories. The cals all come from the butter and syrup. I just make regular pancakes, and use very little syrup.

Cause protein pancakes taste awesome!

This is a recipe I got from cutthefatpodcast.com, I love it and very tasty even though the contents sound like it would be gross

    In a blender add:

    1 whole egg
    ½ c. cottage cheese
½ c. dry oatmeal (Quaker-style old fashioned rolled oats work best)
    Dash of water
*this recipe yields 1 serving (2 pancakes)

Blend all ingredients into smooth batter. If your batter seems thick, add a dash of water. If your batter gets too thin, you may refrigerate for 15-30 minutes and it will thicken. Pour onto pan or griddle just like pancakes.

I would just have regular pancakes and ease up on the butter and syrup and finish it out with some fruit.

I used whole wheat pancake mix, swapped water for milk, added an egg and a scoop of protein powder. Made silver dollar pancakes and a tad of SF syrup. They were low in calories and high in protein, plus it gave me my pancake fix without the guilt. I've tried other recipes, but just couldn't get the right consistency of real pancakes. I made 25 little pancakes, ate 4 and froze the rest for later.

I found this recipe a few weeks ago but have not tried it yet. I think I found it here on MFP, but can't remember for sure.

2 oz low fat cream cheese
    2 eggs
    1 packet truvia
    1/2 tsp cinnamon

blend all together until smooth and cook as you would a regular pancake.

    77 calories for 4 pancakes

Just made these and added bananas and strawberries. BEST EVER!
