I garden so I can freeze and can food to last until the next growing season. Also raise my own chickens for eggs and chicken to fill the deep freeze. That's about all I have. LOL
This is my dream, I am always talking about moving to the country and growing my own produce, fruit trees and a few chickens-maybe a cow or some pigs (organic). It was the way I was brought up and there is nothing tastier than going outside and picking you own dinner out of the garden.
We also have planted fruit trees, grapes, blackberries, blueberries, gooseberries, etc. None of that is big enough to be bearing yet (well, we will get some blackberries this year but not enough to do anything but snack on) but in a few years, we will have enough fresh fruit to can, freeze, supply our family and friends and sell. I am really looking forward to it!0 -
I shop at places like Plato's Closet and Clothes Mentor first when I need clothes- Brand name only second-hand. I love Walmart, Aldi and Dollar Tree, too. My find of the week were two pairs of the huge old school sunglasses for $1 each to go with my $2.50 wide brimmed sunhat from Target0
