Heart Attack Grill is like a microcosm of what's wrong with the United States' health.
Incorrect understanding of cause and effect is what's wrong with the United State's health.0 -
According to their website the double-bypass burger is a POUND of ground beef. How can anyone even eat that much?!?!
I have friends on MFP who routinely eat a pound of meat at once. It's not entirely absurd, especially for body builders.
I'm gonna be honest. I'd eat that. It's funny going to the restaurant website. They have a real-time Twitter tracker and it's full of news about the death.0 -

Why is it "What's wrong with the United States" and not "What's right when you have the choice to be a dumbazz" if you wish. Stop thinking of the negative, we are free (travel the world and see for yourself).
^^^^^^Full agreement^^^^^^^^^
It is lazy to blame the Heart Attack Grill; McDonalds or Nutella for options you have made. The better statement IMO is that people expect to be told what to do and have a feeling of entitlement.0 -
There is a disclaimer. They read and agree to it so they can't sue. Shouldn't be able to either. The only thing worse than the health system are the blood sucking attorneys trying to sue for every little thing.0

Stupid article and stupid headline. People have heart attacks in fast food restaurants, gyms, hospitals, juice bars, vegan restaurants and on the sidewalk. No one meal caused it. No one restaurant caused it.
Bunch of crybabies. "Oh boo hoo. Look what this nasty corporation did to this poor, poor woman." Get over yourselves.0 -
Whoa, 10, 000 calories?!?! :noway:
I wonder if they have vegetarian options, though. A triple bypass veggie burger would be nice
OMG. You're vegetarian. We get it.
Humans are omnivorous. Deal with it.
Wow, the anger
Edited because I made an error of fact0 -

I can give you evidence that suggests we aren't omnivorous, but I suspect you'll just get angry about that too.
We are omnivorous, we are not herbivores. We're not able to break down cellulose as herbivores are able too.0 -
We're pretty clearly omnivorous.
Also, I would be surprised if the tone you read in that response was anger as opposed to, say, annoyance
No one likes self-righteousness0 -

Out of interest, I am now doing some further research on the subject. I have, of course, done lots, but there is always more to learn!
We are not carnivores, however, and we can survive, or thrive, on a plant based diet. So I'm not sure what this poster was trying to get at by quoting me.0 -

I made a mistake. I retract that now. Evidence does suggest we developed as omnivores. I apologise.
Who was being self-righteous?0 -

I was quoting you because you had stated you have evidence that we are not omnivorous, it was before you corrected your statement.0 -
I'm sure she was the picture of health when she walked in there.0

I can only hope that I die doing what I love, like she clearly did.0

Put it in the form of a steak I can grill and I'll show ya!
:bigsmile:0 -
This place would probably only be okay to eat at if you only went there once a year and were in good health. Even than I don't think I could ever stomach that crap 'food'.0
-
So...they weigh you. If you're over 350LBS you can eat there for free...everyday...and some people do. Oh and instead of buttering buns, they put lard on them....like legitimate lard. It's disgusting...0
-
I'd eat the *kitten* out of one of their burgers. It's called free will. I if I want to eat cheese burgers until I collapse and die that's my choice.0
-
Her fault, no one made her eat there. Who doesn't know food from a place called Heart Attack Grill is bad for you.
Especially when the owner says outright, if you eat here everyday, you will die! Heart Attack Grill is on my to do list.0 -
ronald mcdonald wouldn't even eat there

Huff Post is a microcosm of what is wrong with United States journalism. Freedom to do as you choose. Who is to judge? Why are they?0 -
Ummm, it's called the Heart Attack Grill. What more warning do you need? Personally I think their theme is hilarious. The woman obviously didn't eat well and suffered the result. How many of us are here at this site because we have always eaten and exercised right?
I can't recall anyone ever trying to force me to eat something at a restaurant, or even forcing me to go in that restaurant. I wonder if this would even be "news" if she had dropped dead in a health food store?0 -

One thing to read about it, another thing to see it. As much as I want to say I love big burgers, I don't think I could ever eat here
Wow! You are right, it is one thing to see it. ..Wow!0 -

I was wrong. I know that. But why are you quoting me? I never pretended I wasn't wrong.
The reason why I said I have evidence, is because I had some articles. But I just read some other articles, and they all point more to omni over herbi. No biggie.
I meant I didn't why the other poster was quoting me, not you.0 -
Am I the only one now craving giant cheeseburgers?
I'm right there with you. I rarely indulge, but when I do I want to do it right. It will be my reward for all my efforts.0 -

There was (is?) a place in Milwaukee where you grill the meat yourself. You paid one price and got your pick of 1 lb. hunks of meat (and unlimited Texas toast, baked potato, salad bar, dessert). For a higher price you got a 2 lb hunk, essentially a roast. If you finished off the 2 lb they hung your picture wearing a chef hat and plastic bib on the wall. Your next 1 lb trip was free. Utterly disgusting.
Thankfully I escaped that family!0 -

I started watching this and had to stop so gross...don't get me wrong, I can get down a nasty cheese burger but that place just is gross.0
