    I'm so sorry, kittens of the world, but I have a LOT of literature homework to finish and the instructor is always asking me, "What is the tone of the title? Where does the tone shift? What sort of tone is conveyed in the 3rd stanza?"

    To be fair, a lot of us that join MFP have very little knowledge or experience with fitness until we start doing various DVD workouts, and for many of us that is the extent of what we know about to discuss on the topic of fitness. When Jillian and Chalene and various other DVD exercise instructors who clearly know a LOT MORE about exercise than we do are constantly using that word, we kind of figure it must be an okay word to use b/c what do we know? Nothing. And ese people making a career in fitness are using it. Even if you more seasoned peeps don't like these DVD people or their programs for various reasons (and I now know there are lots of those reasons! LOL), you still have to concede that yes they do know more than most newbies and it's very easy for us to get caught up in the terminology that they are using to motivate us. Please just cut the newbies a little slack, we are honestly trying our best. :-)
