All expense paid trip to Seattle/Portland (flight, hotels, rental car) for 5 nights. She's always wanted to go there.

You are the best son ever (well besides my sons LOL)

This won't help at all, haha but I quit my job so I can't spend much anyway, so I'm getting her flowers and making her a chocolate chip cookie cake. (her favorite.)

I think this is great! She will appreciate this more.

I'm broke so I usually do a nice family dinner of what ever she wants along with Pecan Pie for dessert (It's her favorite!).

My mother-in-law has recently lost a fair bit of weight and mentioned none of her trousers fit... I would have NO idea what to select for her, so we are thinking of a gift voucher. As for my own mum, will probably organise to have some native Australian flowers delivered... and a phone call.

    Cemetary flowers.....

I'm sorry for your loss. That is what I'll be getting my daddy this year, for Father's Day. =(

I was born just before midnight May 11, 1957, Mother's Day was a few minutes after I arrived. My mom has always told me that I'm the best Mother's Day present she ever got. I live thousands of miles from her and the rest of my family now. I wish I could just be there to hug her. That would make both our Mother's Day!

I got mine a humorous card that my 7 year old somehow already stained with her blueberries. Hopefully I will remember to mail it. I am amazed I've gone to the trouble to do this much to be honest.

My sympathies to those who have lost their Mom. My Mom passed 8 years ago and Mother's Day is still really hard on me. Folks, never underestimate the value of just simply time spent with your Mom, if you are able. My Mom never really wanted gifts, so Dad and I always just took her out to eat. Dad is gone, too, and those memories of all those dinners with them are still with me. Happy Mother's Day, everyone! Hope you are able to enjoy some good quality time with your Mom or someone who is able to fulfill that role in your life.

My husband is on a business trip that weekend so my mom is coming over and we're having a girly sleepover weekend. I am baking her favorite cake (a very small one so I can't overindluge) and we'll do mani/pedis and watch Ab Fab.

My family is more about quality time than material gifts, but I may get her a little something. She just got a new iPhone so maybe a cute cover for it.

I will be writing a poem and putting one on her Head Stone and one on my Mother- in- Laws Head Stone along with some flowers. Love them like there is no tomorrow while they are here. I miss them both with all my heart.

Doh! I almost typed out what I was getting my mother and then remembered - she uses MFP. So I'll have to get back to this AFTER Mother's Day.

I normally go with flowers, but she also loves perfume - literally any kind. I may send her a nice Estee Lauder gift set - she goes crazy for that stuff!

Probably going to send her a card from the kids and I. My mother lives in Central Oregon and I have a very distant relationship with her.

About my mom, she wants a CD and I'll probably take her out to dinner.

I bought my mom a Coach handbag for mother's day. I got her a wallet for her birthday so she now has a set.

I am not in contact with my birth mother. I actually did send her a mother's day card, birthday card and Christmas card last year, however, she did not acknowledge one of them. I did try. I will be doing nothing for her this year.

For my MIL, I will be making a nice dinner for her with her favorite dessert, getting her flowers and a new bible.

My full attention thruout the day. My mom is 89, and just left the hospital last week. I know what a blessing it is that she's still above ground. I intend to wait on her hand and foot, so she only has to move when she wants to.

Actually, she's now living with me. I continue to treat each day like Mom's day. She's a gift, and you better believe, I'm well aware of that *fact.* And, I act accordingly!

Coach is always a good idea. I got my mom and mother in law this one:

    in black

I also got my grandma this:

Grandma has a handbag from Coach that I got her last year that has that same teal interior. It's gorgeous.

My mom passed 5 years ago, but we always used to pick an activity with mom for mother's day. These are the best memories - going to a museum or a play, or a special restaurant she wanted to try. We are always so busy, that time spent together was so much more valuable than any gift.

I'm hoping my boys surprise me with yardwork. Fingers crossed...

Unfortunately, I am very low income here, but today I did go out and buy her a packs of gift cards for amazon so she can download books to her kindle, my mom is a very simple woman, never asks for anything, I wish I could afford to buy her something wonderful, but for right now, I will go with something I know she will definitely use :)
Also for my sister I bought her a Nook giftcard :)

I'll mail her a card and pay for her and my brother to go for dinner since I can't be there.
