they are mean because they are hungry
That's not100% true. Some are constipated!
Trail Addict - YOU have FABulous LEGS - WOW! I just had to pop in and say that... BUT... Now is someone gonna get MAD because that is NOT what this tread is about?
Nope, but i will get mad because of your spelling mistake :P RAGGGGEEEE!!!!!!

Because there are thousands and thousands of users. May as well ask "why are some of you funny?" or "why are some of you tall?"0
-
DId someone say TALL?0

Keep in mind also that sometimes the person typing a response intends it to be read in a very matter-of-fact tone, however with a lack of actual tone and facial expression to go with the words, sometimes the intent can be misinterpreted. Yes sometimes people are just plain mean/rude, but sometimes they really are trying to share information but it comes across badly to some readers.
Very true and I figured that there was a chance that a poster had a history of posting certain topics or "hot" items and I just wasn;t aware of it being a newb.
I try to keep an open mind but there has been a few times that I was really taken aback at the hostility some members have displayed. I guess my thought is that if reading posts from a particular person brings such a degree of venom out of you - just don't read it.0 -
Some people are happiest when they are being miserable. THey enjoy making someone else feel miserable and belittled. Ignore them.

The people who post about "oh god, i ate this cookie, im over my cals by 50 for the day, im so sad and im just going to give up"
if you want it bad enough, you either wouldnt have eaten that cookie, or exercise more, or just dont worry about it. people are putting to much pressure on themselves.
OR
"what an i do with chicken breast" "its been a week and ive only lost a pound" or my all time favourite "i dont want to lift weights cause ill get bulky"
seriously people THERE IS A SEARCH BUTTON! use it! there is so much good information on this site, but people are too lazy to search for it themselves, and barely look past page two when it comes to recent posts. for the people who have been here a while this starts getting repetative
ok Rant over.-

Fat people are always angry.0

Some people get annoyed by the promotion of unhealthy diets on a site made specifically for fitness and healthy weight loss. This is not fad-diets.com.0

Sometimes people feel like this:
and sometimes they feel like this:
But yeah, generally people here are really nice.
This is by far the nicest most politically correct forum I've ever seen. I pity people branching into other forums who get offended here.0 -
Wow. I was just thinking this yesterday. Some people actually are putting other people down, or mocking the person's concerns. If you have nothing productive, kind, helpful, and motivational to say, please.... **** or get off the pot.0

hahaha, love those.0 -
Because there are thousands and thousands of users. May as well ask "why are some of you funny?" or "why are some of you tall?"
I am just a freak of nature.
So I guess that means, OP, I don't know the answer to your question.
Genetics, maybe?0 -
They're hungry? I'm just kidding - and I agree. Some people need some happy.0
-
I agree that there are a good bit who are a bit overly hostile. However...there is so much bad advice given on this site that I understand how easy it is to get frustrated reading it all and watching people accept it so easily.

They're hungry.
No, no....they are HANGRY!
Haha...this is my new word!0 -

Also boob now = bewb. Congress passed the bill though it was almost defeated in the House.0 -
I'm angry because they cancelled The Event. Now the internet shall suffer my rage.0
-
I"M angry because I got nono letters for my boobie friday pics.0

I \know im gonna get yelled at for this.
The only reason I sometimes get a bit knarky, is the whole "I only eat 500 cal a day-need friends" posts
OR
The people who post about "oh god, i ate this cookie, im over my cals by 50 for the day, im so sad and im just going to give up"
if you want it bad enough, you either wouldnt have eaten that cookie, or exercise more, or just dont worry about it. people are putting to much pressure on themselves.
If someone on here has an eating disorder and they're using it to try and keep track of their eating, possibly to recover, they're going to make posts like that. And getting "knarky" and short with them about it isn't being supportive of their health and mental state at all. I mean, really people.0 -
You don't need to be angry to trash somebody over the internet. Its easy enough to do if you are a jerk, no rage is required.
And remember trolling is a art.0 -
No, no....they are HANGRY!
Hehe, I heard that word once from Tom Venuto. You must be one of BFFM Inner Circle members or a subscriber to Tom Venuto's newsletter.0 -
Hemorrhoids ....Clearly they need to change their diets.....and it might help with the anger0
-
You know, I could just as easily ask (sarcasm alert...fasten your seatbelts) why are some of you so stupid?*
Just because someone's answer isn't covered in glitter and unicorn crap, it doesn't mean they're trying to hurt someone's feelings.
**Please note that I'm not calling ANYONE stupid...it's an analogy, or something.0 -
I have only seen a handful of actually MEAN posts. I have seen a lot of misunderstandings that get a little bit too heated, though.0
-
Maybe they're pumped full of roids :laugh:0
