I don't know if you have kids or not, but the attitide your friend has is very common among mothers. Haven't you ever noticed how many fat women there are out there, carting around a few kiddies, with an average weight husband? Women tend to use having kids as an excuse to get or stay fat, so they don't have to work hard to be in shape. I am 28, the mother of two, and I am now a size 2. I was a 0 in high school, and about 10lbs lighter, but I also think I was too thin back then. I ended my last pregnancy at 175lbs, and the weight did not come off easily by any means. But I worked hard and got to where I wanted to be. You can do it too.0

It's great that you're working on it now, while you're young, and a reunion is a great motivator.0
