I got my one and only tattoo when I was 51, so I don't think 54 is too old. My son is a tattoo artist, he did it for me when he just was starting out at age 17. Here a pic:

Does anyone have a tat on their bikini area? I am thinking of having one placed there Sunday. It is being drawn up but I haven't decided 100% yet. It will never show unless I'm naked. I have one on my ankle I could do without but whatever. lol

Right now I have 3, but I'm lucky because my husband is a tattoo artisit and he does all mine for free. I have a sugar skull on my foot which still needs to be finished and i have a pelvic tattoo which i need to have colored when I am at my goal weight.

1 on my back.
Mine has meaning. It's a burning flower which signifies the end of pain. One of the petals is the S for Shinedown, my favorite band. Underneath it says Dark Devotion which is a testament to how I feel about being stuck with a life of Prednisone.

got 3....... most of my lower leg,,,,,,back of neck and one shoulder... putting big butterfly on other shoulder at end of summer and when i hit my goal weight I'm going for mother of all tramp stamps.........

For now i have only one. Stargazer lily on my right hip! I am waiting till my tummy is flat to get 3 different sized butterflies up my side in my childrens birth month colors. I also want a mermaid right up the center of my back. ouch!

I have 3.....a rose with thorns in the shape of a heart on my left breast, a little tiny brontosaurus on the inside of my right arm near the wrist, and a celtic cross with knotwork on my left arm above my elbow with the word "hope" spelled in runic.

The rose was an airbrush tat I got that I got so many compliments on I decided to make it real, the dinosaur was something relative to my childhood and the cross was in reflection of the hard times I had passed.

If I ever reach my goal weight, I'm getting a small flaming d20 as a tramp stamp......since I'm too geeky for my own good :P

I am working on my full back piece...4th session tomorrow. Itll probably be about 30 hours total when Its finished. It has a dagger, flowers, evil eye, leopard print, etc.

I have a wrist cuff that is a henna design in brown--based on a design that I put on my wedding invites.

I have words on my collar bone that are reversed so I can see in the mirror.

I have a word in Arabic on my shoulder.

Oh I love tattoos! I have 2 myself. One large one across my chest and another on my ankle. Once I lose the 100 lbs I want to lose, I plan on another tattoo as a reward to ME! :-)
