When did/will you stop considering yourself "fat?"

When I could fit back into single digit clothing.

Honest to God I just came to terms with it in the last half hour.... it`s what made me log in today,
I`m 44 years old and for at least 25 of those years I was ashamed of my appearance, I covered up and held back from so much of life because of that shame and that`s the real weight I finally feel like I shed....
This morning I am wearing a size 30 jeans, which are comfy cuz they are a little loose, and a medium t shirt. It`s a good feeling0 -
When my thighs are not jiggling and my *kitten* is not sagging.0
-
When I feel comfortable enough to wear a bikini out in a resort or beach. This would mean my muffin top and jiggly thighs are under control, lol.0
-
When I reach 140lbs. My goal is to lose more than that, but when I'm at 140lbs I won't consider myself "fat" anymore.0

When I can wear a skirt without worrying about thigh fire, when I fit lossely into size 12s (I realize that's probably big for some people, but for me and my build that would be perfect!), when my BMI is 24. When clothing doesn't cause me pain because it's too tight and I'm to cheap to buy fat pants again.0

When my stomach doesn't roll over my bathing suit when I am sitting on the beach.0

You know I never really was like "Ugh I'm FAT!" until I started dieting... I've actually toned it down quite a bit from the start though. I'm starting to call my self "skinny" or even just "smaller" My husband never called me fat to start with but ever since I lost the first 10lbs he's called me "Skinny Wife!" So in all honesty, with about 60lbs to go, I consider myself no longer fat... I'm smaller now, I'm in no way a size zero, I never will be at 5'11", but I'm not a size 22 anymore and that's good enough for me!0

That "fay guy" will always be with me--hopefully properly caged by the healthier guy I'm trying to maintain.0

I'm hoping when I hit my goal weight, but I think I'll always be a fatty at heart.0
-
I guess I'll have to wait and see when I eventually get to my goal weight of 205. Once I am there and I STILL have a belly roll, I'll decide...0
-
Probably NEVER. I'm 5 ft 4 and now weigh 157 pounds. I see myself as fat and don't think I'll ever be happy with my reflection in the mirror.0
-
I don't consider myself "fat." Just larger than my absolute ideal. I guess I'd go with "thick" over fat. I'll consider myself ideal at 25% or lower BF.0

When I stop comparing myself to others.
Oh, wait, I don't. I love myself, I love my body, and I love my life. I worked damn hard to get here and relish every second.0 -
I will stop thinking im fat when I get into the 130s. 125 is my goal, but I did lose weight when I was younger and the 130s are a good zone to be in. Im 5'5".0
-
when im 130, even though my ugw is 1200

When my stomach is semi flat and my cholesterol level is decent. I'm not overweight nor ever was, but I was and tend to the skinny fat.0

Yeah, I know I started considering myself fat when the ladygarden shaving became a matter of moving the fat out of the way. Also, when I went to flex my biceps and couldn't see any definition despite the fact that they're pretty large underneath.
So, as soon as that fat gets out of the way of my "lawnwork" and I'm having some nice muscle definition going, I shall be unfat again!0 -
When the only jiggles are in my favorite jello snack0

When I am no longer fat.
Meaning when my body fat percentage reaches a normal, healthy level.0 -
Never has happened yet... so just bumping to read the other's responses0

I'll let you know when I get there. If I had to guess... when my love handles are COMPLETELY gone.0
-
when i can zip up my pre baby paints and not bust a seam:bigsmile:0

I don't think of myself as fat ~ under 150. It isn't my dream weight, but I don't feel fat. Over 160 on me is FAT.0

When my thighs don't rub and I don't jiggle when I walk0
-
probably never
i feel the same, i have been overweight my entire life, after losing 77lbs and not being this weight since i was around 12 years old, i still feel like the fat girl and probably always will (0 -
When I'm comfortable wearing a two piece bathing suit.
Agree, same here.0 -
I was wondering this same question. At what point do you cross the line from fat to not fat, or unfit to fit. I'm not quite as firm as I want to be, but I don't consider myself fat anymore, and if someone tried to call me fat, I'd challenge them to arm wrestling. Would that count as a modern day duel? lol0

When I can wear a bikini with pride!
When I have a 36-C bra again, instead of a nasty 38-D.
When I can find a pair of jeans without going directly to the back of the rack.
When I don't have to worry about people comparing me to my girlfriend and thinking, "They're an odd couple...why's that one so big?"0
